AA ult works like any other spell. Just press R where you want to throw it, then press R again when you want to detonate it. I quickcast everything no issue for years other than figuring out how to cataclysm with invoker lol

Alt + key for quick cast have a lot of uses, like Legion's Press to Attack, Bloodseeker's Rage, a lot of items. Quick cast is the best, that's not a better one yet.
@@Xtasy99 I agree, I always tell my friends to learn it even if its difficult at first to play without the radial indicator of how far you can cast something. You get used to it eventually and I think it makes you a better player because you now can roughly know how far enemies can cast those spells too when you are against them. I never get caught off guard by range of something like hook, because I played enough pudge with quickcast to learn the max distance without game telling me what it is.
Baumi this is whats causing your quickcast to not work specifically on targetted, two part abilities: When you go to target the ability, you are clicking to use it while holding R. When you click, you use it, and then the ability gets replaced (sharpshooter release, ice blast fire, etc.) while you are sill holding R. When you then release R, it then triggers the release ability. You need to press R and let it go with out clicking any of your mouse buttons. You are clicking your mouse, I watched frame by frame. Try it in a demo if you have to. Press and hold R, click, and then release R. And then try releasing R before you click.
I see it too. He holds R then left clicks to target ice blast. When R is released, the ice blast is released too. That's 2 commands issued there. The other thing that causes this is his setting, "quick cast on key down" is checked, so his abilities are casted when key is released, that's what triggered the 2nd part of the ice blast.

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, but I use Quickcasting and hoodwink/aa ults work just fine for me. 1 press does the first one, 2nd press reactivates. Not really sure why yours is doing is twice automatically? If I had to guess it's an issue with your keyboard being too sensitive, and it's detecting your keypresses as doubletaps (or perhaps you are accidentally double-tapping)

It is a thing, FYI. If you are playing heroes such as void, you can PRESS and HOLD R, then left click it to cast or just release the R button to cast chrono. You hold R button to see the chrono aoe and can always adjust where to place it, without doing any calculations. This setting helps the average players who wants to quick cast. It's not an issue of UP or DOWN quick casting. Please find my comment on this video to clear things up.
in league quick cast is just better no matter who you play but when i came back to dota and tried to use quick cast. it just doesnt feel right whatsoever. Trying to use tp scroll messes up, you cant double click to self cast etc. Only thing I found it useful for was blink dagger

It's his quick cast key up button. When he press it's casting the ult and it will shoot when the key is released. Key up is such a weird mechanic.
