I don’t think Po should be regretful. They made some incredible work in the same atmosphere which drove those iconic bands. I loved that music as a teen and the artwork made me realise I loved art too! I realised that visuals and sound do enhance each other and Peter Gabriel took it all on to the internet and created another dimension. If Po is reading this, you made my life and others’ a bit exciting and its all somewhere in my being when im creating something. 3 times your work accidentally involved ITSELF in my life out of the blue. And I’m just a pleb! That’s how powerful it was and still is. It hasn’t finished, it will never be over. Thank you Hipgnosis.
I’ve never “abandoned” vinyl - I still have and still play my albums …beginning with Meet the Beatles. Besides the music I’ve loved the artwork. I have only 4 albums which I’ve framed & hung but planning to add more to my gallery. Sticky Fingers by the Stones (with zipper); Her Majesty’s Satanic Request (3D cover); Revolver by the Beatles; Velvet Underground.
Fabulous documentary - much of which people with a knowledge of 1960s70s rock will know, however seeing Po talk about it with such heart and honesty, is really moving. Days gone, gone days.
Saw it this week and enjoyed every single second. If I ever idolized anyone, Storm and Po were those guys. I have hundreds upon hundreds of LPs and many were bought just for the Hipgnosis artwork. This documentary is absolutely incredible. What a great period of my life.
I have been watched this AMAZING 🤩😍 documentary in a Movie Theater. WAOUH 🤣👍👍👍👍👍 EXCELLENT, EXEPTIONNAL ! David Gilmour , Robert Plant , Jimmy Page, Peter Gabriel &...... The golden age of music 🎵 🎶. The pleasure of listening a VINYL. A disc & the cover. Everything could be & was most of the time: a piece of ART. CONGRATULATIONS 👏👍🎉 guys. All these great artists are still here. ( I'm not talking about abuse of " illegal substances......).
That art represents the absolute pinnacle of music. It was so special and I am sad to say those days will never return. I personally don't like where music has gone in general. Everything is so bland and accessible now. The air of excitement, mystery and brilliance has faded with the advent of digital and the net. They were Halcion days indeed. Hypgnosis were the best at what they did.
@@RhiannonClarkMusicofficial I was a muso teenager in 70s so I am bound to look at that decade with rose-tinted specs. just so glad I was there to experience the excitement of it. I thought the 90s were fantastic too BTW. To date, that was the last great music decade IMHO.
Who is singing this line, "Show me, show me everything you want. Show me, Show me everything you need." I looked everywhere, but no luck. Who is the band or artist and the name of the title of the song?
Saw it tonight in NYC with Arbery Powell Qn A. He signed my House's of the Holy, Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and Wish u were here lps. Great movie
One of the best documentarys ever

As a designer, and a lover of old (rock) music; this is of course a must watch. Enjoyed it immensely (as a 33 year old).
Tell Po that again, you’re 30. It will resonate like a note through the universe!

Est ce qu'il est sorti en France ?
Brilliant documentary thoroughly enjoyed it 👍
Yeaah. Can't wait. Those covers were my life in the 70's. Also what was contained inside 🙂

“London was lawless “ utter bolloks. These guys charged huge fees for old rope.
peter gabriel II = masterpiece sleeve
OMG.......😍
Yup da seventies
Jimmy called it: the album cover is by far the best thing about In Through the Out Door.
Ask “Jimmy” . Do you know him? About his 14 year old girlfriend.
Must see this. Anyone have any idea if it’s available to buy/stream/download?
Coming to UK cinemas mid-July

McCartney sounds like Ozzy now.
Looks like him, too...
Nothing “lawless” about sitting around smoking dope and listening to music. In the late 60s, London was many things - but lawless was not among them.
This great documentary is now available on Netflix 👍
First view, first like and first comment.
Congratulations. Your success shall be talked about for generations. Your parents should be proud. Well done.
unsure why the internet/phone breed are typing comments here? this about music, in part at least. It's nothing to do with them.
Too jumpy in the editing. Unwatchable
