Just got mine today!!! So excited. I cannot believe how great it sounds and nearly pitch perfect out of the box, as a new player the action is high but the neck appears dead straight. Frets are gaga gorgeous, mahogany wood with cutout. So beautiful. Thx for the demo made my choice easy!
Tuning fork- 440 Hz. We always strike it on our knee. I never tuned down for 40 years. I always played in standard tuning. Then I tuned down a half step to work on some Hendrix. Turning down is excellent for ear training. Because your fingers go in the same places but your ear hears sharps and flats. Tuning down increased my sensitivity to sharps and flats. I think the takeaway lesson for today is "You don't have to pay big money for a good guitar" Tomo Thank you twice.

I was thinking of getting the Orangewood Oliver Jr as my first guitar but ended up getting the Squire Affinity Strat. Great to see what this thing can do in the hands of someone who can play as great as you do!

I like the controls are in the soundhole rather than cut into the side. I don’t know if that affects sound but it looks cleaner. I’ve been wanting to check out an Orangewood.

Orangewood guitars are very nice. I bought a Morgan Mahogany from Orange wood a few months ago to replace an Alvarez with a cracked face.
I'm currently watching you tune it. They do such a great job at Orangewood. Mine needed no setup or anything and was also nearly in tune when it arrived and holds it's tuning really well.
