    Good stuff bro, great job in the installs. So happy to see there are couples out there sharing the same passion. My wife refuses to ride with me. She’s still upset that I bought my dream car, 2018 ZL1... with my own money and making my own payments!! You guys keep it up and may you both have memorable times together.

      Thanks, yeah it turned out great. It took a few years but she has come around and now we have fun with the cars together. The first thing she actually liked was going to races, so if I were to give a pointer it would be to go check out some races. Haha Hopefully she comes around so you guys can both enjoy that car.

      Women get jealous when you get a hot car...1. They get nervous that the car may get all your attention. 2. They get nervous that it will attract other women....Let her drive it (with you in the car) once they get that power in their hands you can't keep them out of it...then they understand...well at least in my experience. 😉

    It’s a sleeper for sure!!! Exhaust will be the same no matter what you do . That’s why I settled for the muffler delete . 4 banger Maro is quick and turns heads

      Thanks, it started out as my fun daily and turned in to my wife’s fun daily.haha. Yeah always nice to be able to do a couple upgrades here and there, for me I fall in love with the cars all over again. Not sure what we will do next on the Camaro, would love to do some more engine mods and a tune but the California thing slows me down there. Maybe some coil overs or something like that. Not really anything that I don’t like about it at the moment other than you can never have too much power.lol

    I like this I have a turbo Camaro as well customizing it on my channel but not sure what else to add since not sure of what you can do to a I4 turbo Camaro,I got a
    K&n intake , with a muffler delete

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  3 года назад

      Thanks, they are fun cars and relatively easy to work on. If you do much more mod wise it’s probably time to start with tuning, I hear it makes a huge difference especially with any mods past the intake an muffler. If I wasn’t worried about smog my next power mods would probably be down pipe, upgraded inter cooler and piping, and a tune.

    • @sugerhitman1295
      @sugerhitman1295 2 года назад

      @@tackettgarage4982 You don't actually need a tune (which is very risky with this engine)...I went with a RS Racechip as a piggyback in addition to Rev 9 intercooler, ZZP catted downpipe, ZZP larger throttle body, Flowtech muffler delete, GFB Diverter valve, KN air filter, and a Pedalmax Throttle Controller...has transformed this car into a mean little sports car.

    I have a '16 2.0 and mines does that same weird rumble shake in the lower rpms, but it goes away when I accelerate a little harder. Does a warranty cover a transmission fluid change?

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  2 года назад

      So mine was covered for a fluid change (which did fix it) but I was under the 3 years 36000 mile warranty. Being a 16 I don’t know if the factory warranty is still valid, but Chevy has a technical service bulletin for it so I would think a extended warranty would cover. Put probably another 30k on it since the fluid change and still good so worth looking in to for sure:

    Hey man! Great video! I have installed the Mishimoto cold air intake on my '19. Have you noticed a giant difference as the turbo spools up? I didn't really hear it from your interior shots post install. Mine is crazy loud on the spool, and I am not so super happy with it. I do not have a new exhaust yet, but I upgraded my stereo to cover the noise for me. If I drive with no stereo, I still hear it. I can only describe it like loud tearing of paper. I heard the blow off from the turbo in the video, but did not really hear the spool up. I'm just worried I did something wrong on the install, but per Mishimoto customer support, if no check engine lights come on, then it is good to go. Just curious if you experienced the same thing.

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  3 года назад

      Thanks! Oh yeah I definitely hear what you are talking about. Plenty of noise on spool up. I think it’s normal, but it’s surprising for sure. I had it on for a while before with the stock exhaust and it was pretty loud, in my opinion the exhaust kinda helps because you have more noise to go with it.( But I do like some noise to my cars,lol). When my wife first started driving it at night she said she thought it sounded like something was rubbing but now I just asked and she says she hardly notices it now.

      I haven’t actually had it on a Dino or anything. But feel of the seat it seems a bit more responsive, like the turbo might spool a little faster. From what I have read it’s the down pipe and a tune that starts to make a big difference.

    Why the oil catch cans?

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  3 года назад

      They help catch the oil before it goes through the intake. This helps keep the intake valves cleaner which is a bigger concern on the newer engines with direct gas injection motors.
