Dude That is a SUPER COOL build. I have mad respect for it. I think it's really cool that you built up a 4 cylinder to that much power. It is very unique. And I would argue that even if it cost the same or even if it is more expensive, there is way more fun and enjoyment in taking something slower or smaller and making it faster. always getting excited for the next part that's coming in. the next tweak or improvement you can make. Love the build man 2 thumbs up.

What is so “wild” about $7k in labor? Dude bought new forged engine internals so the engine was taken apart and rebuilt. If you can’t spin the wrenches or rebuild engines, you’re paying for it. Nothing wild about that. I’m kind of surprised it didn’t cost him more than $7k. I’ll bet you were just looking for a reason to use the word wild.

You did a great job sounds good it looks good and it is powerful I have a 2017 Camaro 2.0 turbo while Krypton green I'm pretty sure I got a factory freak because stock with intake and exhaust pushing 320 HP to the wheels. I have plans on doing very similar if not the same upgrade you did to yours to mine. Unfortunately last Monday on the 2nd of September it was rear-ended by an idiot. I'm going to tell you right now it sounds so good. And I don't know about yours before the upgrade the turbo and all the stuff you did but mine stock even does the flutter. I think that has to do with the cold air intake I got for it. It was perfect for my car. I am going to have it fixed. Then I'm going to do the upgrades. And it's crazy cuz you said Nostrand and I said yep that's exactly what I'm doing with the upgraded turbo as well. I absolutely love my Camaro. And I'll tell you what I said right now at definitely gives a V8 it's like scat packs and 1LT a run for it's money .

In Australia we used this engine in our last commodore, same shape as the buick regal and opel insignia. I have the commodore, only done the CAI, rear exhaust work, wastegate, coils and a tune, currently sitting at roughly 250hp but my torque is close to 700nm. How is the torque so high? have you tested your 0 - 60? must be in the 4s

Im doing similar with my 2016 ATS 2.0T , except all labor by my hand. Everything is straightforward except downloading and then flashing a tune after i have edited it. Or using DPS without proper archive packages...

I like the 2.0T platform but the fact you spent that much on it in a Camaro when you could have just gotten a v8 confused the hell out of me. Different and unique does not equal better.

Looks like you still rocking the one piston stock calipers. I only did my 23 LS a K&N CAI and a muffer delete axle back. I felt the stock brake are extremely rubbish on stoping power after the half a year so I upgraded street racing ceramic brake pads. Have you done anything to the brakes or how are them one piston holding up when it comes to 454 whp? Mad respect btw! I might do the zzp stage 1 kit after warranty.

I dont quite understand why GM would put such a small engine (2.0) into this car. Put the 2.7 out of the truck, and it won't be overworked, and then there will be some good room for aftermarket tuning.

Probably not… he’s making slightly more wheel HP than a stock SS. I’d run the stock 4 cylinder stuff until it shit the bed, then upgrade. If he beats the crap out of the car at every stop light then he might be replacing the stuff sooner, but then again, so would a V8 guy.

That's not stock SS power, it's 454 WHP so probably around +500 HP at crank; an SS can achieve that for cheaper though, just pointing out that it's not stock SS power.

This weighs about 3200, and an SS about 3800. My stock transmission been hold for 10k miles on this build and now just started to act up lol

I have a 2018 SS I see your using ZL1 style wheels, nice front splitter, diffuser, ZL1 wing, etc. If ypu have the syno numbers I would like to see them. Very much so.
I had a 2020 V6 with a built suspension, and now a super low mile 2018 SS as I like the front end.

Intake, downpipe catless if you want to push more boost but catted downpipe is also good. Intercooler from rev9. And finally get the car tuned. U can also run flex fuel but be careful tho, the pistons can blow up if you push too much power or a bad tune.
From what I've seen, don't do anything to add more power unless you're ready to upgrade all the internals of the engine. The stock internals aren't designed to handle more power, nor is the transmission or diff. Those all can be beefed up with enough money but at that point you're essentially building an alt version of the V8 so, unless you're intentionally going for something different like the guy in this video. It makes more sense just to buy a V8.
Or you can just enjoy the car you have as is, nothing wrong with that. The 2.0's aren't going to win in a straight line but that doesn't make them not fun to drive.

The 2.0 is a serious machine. loved it, specially how people that understimate it reacted afterwars, even V6 Camaro folks still think their V6 is faster lol sadly for me I'm poor so trading it in for an SS made more sense than building it, if I had the money I for sure would have gone bonkers with it.

You all should have bought the 6.2L Camaro LT1 or SS. If I spent the money on my V8 that you did on your 4cyl it would put your 4cyl to shame. I want to see your track tickets. Easy to say you beat the stock v8 engines let’s see the proof. My V8 get 28mpg on the freeway and 24 around town so you lose on both counts.
That car would beat any stock V8....I have both the SS and the 4 banger Camaro FBO....these 4 banger Camaros are fast.

If he being honest about putting 454 hp to the wheels yea he would beat a stock SS. Stock SS's (455 to the crank, 455 torque) puts about 400 to the wheels on average. I'm curious about his torque though. With it being a 4 cylinder it's going to be lighter as well.
Now if you spend 16k in mods on a SS, you would absolutely dog walk the crap out of his 4 cyl. Also if I'm not mistaken you can get a stage 3 kit for 15k~.
Just sayin if you emailed zzp they would have told you half your mods were pointless, all zzp recommends for 450whp is forged internals a downpipe intake valve springs cams and the e85 kit with a z54 turbo, would have saved about 10k on your mods 🤷
Is the conversion to e85 necessary?
@@angelgonzalez-i8y it’s not really a conversation as the kit just uses sensors to detect what fuel your running and adjusts timing accordingly, but I mean e85 is pretty close to half the price of 93 so you tell me if it’s necessary 🤷

I’ve been looking at ATSs recently. If I did get one with the 2.0, I’d do a few bolt ons and tune it and call it good. A 330-350 WHP daily driven Cadillac ATS would be fine for me. No need for me to go all out like this Camaro build.
@@QkSilver04GTO I'm pushing 386whp in AWD still get about 24mpg hwy until I get my foot in it.....I did a intake tube not the cold air intake and the zzp big wheel turbo step 6 plugs from zzp the iridium ones zzp coil packs front mount intercooler and a tune push 25psi all day never misses a beat even with the AC on.
