Hi, in a month I will go to Iceland for 14 days (I will have
car so I won't have to carry all my stuff like a tent, etc.) and I'm deciding between the Kyte 46 II and the Kyte 48. In the future I'd like to do more tru hikes and maybe even do the PCT. Which backpack would you recommend to me?

Hello, if this back pack does not touch my lower spine, does it mran it is not wel fitted for my posture?
I wish the colors were more vibrant... What is the difference in comfort compared to the old model kyte 46? Is the back so rigid that it is further away from the spine or does it mold to your back? Thank you.
The principle of backpanel is the same- they are both Osprey's Airscape backpanel, which is made of foam with mesh overlay. Both version are contoured to fit close to the back, but of course every body is different and comfort is subjective, so it is possible that some find more comfortable and others may find it less so. There does need to be some degree of rigidity in order to support the load, but it is designed to sit close to the back and the foam offers some cushion.
Hi! I bought one of these 48L packs. My head touches the plate when I look up. Is this the right size? 😁 I can see the brain on your pack is above your head but I can't tell how of the plate touches your head. Would love some insight just so I don't own a pack that doesn't fit right 😊♥️
Great question! The frame height is often more of a characteristic of a pack's shape than of its fit/size. A well fitting pack will rest the majority of the weight on the hip bones with the shoulder straps resting flush on the shoulders- not digging in and not hovering above. Some packs have a taller frame, which is not dependent on fit. Hope that helps!
