    I have it in red and I absolutely love it. It’s a great backpack, roomy and super comfortable. If I had a con I’d say it’s the lack of admin compartment but really that’s a nitpick. Front pocket was perfect for my collapsible walking cane, and I flew with it as carry-on no problem. 100% recommended.

    Front straps can be used to attach a Fairview/Fairpoint Day pack - very useful as you can leave main pack in hotel and just take daypack out with you.

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  2 месяца назад

      Yes! Its an awesome feature, the day pack is included in the 55L and 70L versions of this bag!

    I have the male version of this: The Farpoint 40. I also have the Porter 30. I can't decide which is going to be my go to carry on travel bag. I could use some opinions. I like the slightly bigger Farpoint, but the Porter seems more organized.

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  Месяц назад +1

      Yes I will say this bag doesn't have the best organization so if that's important I wouldn't pick this one. But I prefer more space and I organize with packing cubes and I usually travel with a small sling or backpack to organize my smaller things. It really depends how you pack

    Did you used the backpack for trekking? How was it?

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  2 месяца назад

      Not trekking, I traveled around Europe with it. I honestly loved it! Found it soooooo comfortable and it was during summer so it was very hot and the bag was very breathable. I would highly recommend

    Love your reviews! So much good info!
    I would love some advice :) I plan on backpacking in SE Asia for 3+ months from Sept.
    I'm a female traveler who prioritize comfort and accessibility when it comes to backpacking.
    I must carry my 13" Macbook Air for remote working and ideally would pack light (as much as I can!)
    Which backpack would you recommend? Do you think the lack of water bottle holder on the Osprey is a dealbreaker?
    thank you!! :)

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  17 дней назад +1

      Ah I'm so excited for you! So I think the Osprey is my #1 pick, it's very comfortable and you can fit a lot (leave space tho the shopping in SE Asia is so cheap 🤣)
      for your laptop I would pack it in a smaller day bag to be more accessible, or if you want a backpack with a separate laptop compartment the Tortuga Travel Backpack is a great option too! Let me know if you have any questions :)

    Is this allowed on airlines (like Lufthansa) as a carry on? Thank you!

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  21 день назад

      So I have never had a problem with bringing it as my carry on, it usually fits the dimensions....but I will ALWAYS double check with the specific airline regulations cause some can be pretty strict

    You don’t find it sexy? Maybe it’s not on-trend, but I find the Fairview/Fairpoint to be much sexier than its other highly-rated counterparts that follow the “stealth” trend. I can’t get excited about those bland boxy colourless bags, and it doesn’t help that every cheap Amazon approved re-branded fly-by-night bag is also copying that aesthetic. I personally love the look of the Osprey bags, and I’m glad they didn’t dial down their signature aesthetic. I do get what you’re saying about all the dangly bits though, and I suppose it could do with some better strap management.

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  2 месяца назад +1

      I totally get what you mean, I just meant more all the dangles and how big the bag looks when it's fully packed out. It looks way larger on smaller people. But I am a huge fan of the colors and comfort it truly is a great bag!!

      @@GearfortheGirls Yeah those straps flying all over the place like fringes on a 70’s motorcycle jacket. Haha. Not sure how other bags manage it, but I’d imagine plastic strap-end clips would be the thing. I just picked up a Farpoint bag (in part thanks to your excellent review) and now I’m motivated to look for a solution to this eye injury waiting to happen.

    • @GearfortheGirls
      @GearfortheGirls  Месяц назад

      Yes those plastic clips would most likely do the trick. If you try let me know how it works!! Yayyy so happy the review helped you pick it! :)
