My problem with using a d20 over a combination of dice is that the d20 is super swingy. You have the same chance to roll a 1 as you do a 20. You have a better chance of getting a decent roll with say 2d6 or 3d6. They have a better bell curve than using a single die.

Ahahaha! Imma give it a chance as is first 😅
Honest question, what problem is there with a d20 system? I see this strange sect of people online that have a really distinct hatred for it, but I never see any alternative that isn’t ultimately the same thing. All dice are random, and can support any system just as well as any other can.
My problem with using a d20 over a combination of dice is that the d20 is super swingy. You have the same chance to roll a 1 as you do a 20. You have a better chance of getting a decent roll with say 2d6 or 3d6. They have a better bell curve than using a single die.
@@joeking1956 d20 is simple
@@joeking1956but isn't that the fun of it? I mean of course you want to succeed in everything but failing is also great for story and fun
