He and maybe Mordin are the only people on the squad who are almost on shepherds level when it comes to achievements of their own. Also he tanked a fucking missile, and not even a shoulder mounted one,but from a frickin gunship. Honestly by the the normandy does not have a crew, it had an army because every crew member is an absolute unit.
Did not remember so many people talking about him like this! This is very nice though. The clarity with which they all have such distinct opinions that somehow all make sense underlines the great writing.
Making a list from this is pretty entertaining. "Okay, he's a reckless, idealistic, pain in the ass, cuttlebone nerd with a stick up his butt, who also thinks he's funny! And it's not worth ripping his face off."
@@211Shinobu Well the people that said bad things about him was the gangs in his recruitment mission in ME2 and nobody except our squad walked out of there alive. There was Harkin who also bad-mouthed him but Shepard can let Garrus shoot him in the leg and leave him for C-sec which was good enough for me.

So, I've noticed you're fine with Jacob calling Garrus a Cuttlebone, which is quite literally one of the most insulting things you can call a turian. Like, it's an actual racial slur to them. I mean, calling an avian race a birds chewtoy is just plain unnecessarily rude. It's actually why I started to really dislike Jacob my first playthrough.
@211Shinobu you calling Jacob "Fine" when he's a legitimate racist who also is a hypocrite if you have Zaeed in your squad, due to Thane literally not getting paid, while Zaeed is.
@@matthewsimon6170 I still think Jacob is fine even if I disapprove of some of the things he says. All of the Mass Effect characters say inappropriate things at one point or another. I love Garrus but he implies he thinks the Genophage is a good idea and that murdering hostages is okay if they're probably going to die anyway. He straight up says he'd be tempted to take the Dalatrass' deal to betray the Krogan. Does my Paragon Shep disapprove? Sure. Is she still going to romance the heck out of him? Also yes.
