Hey, I got a couple questions about that beginning bit: 1. Who conducted the research seeing how many times the average person hears "no"? 2. How was the research conducted? 3. Why do you automatically think that's a bad thing, since "no" isn't always an answer to a request? 4. How do you know they hear "no" more than "yes"? Where's the research for that?

I totally understand the no to a yes by respect and making it about them, however, my struggle is when they say yes you can call me back, they don't pick up the phone because they know its me.
Are you seriously telling me that no matter how many times they say no you’re going to just keep badgering them? On the 6th time of them saying no you would say that you’re never going to stop calling them? I’m really surprised that works for you, it wouldn’t work on me. A great way to lose friends and make people want to block your number. No wonder MLM has such a bad reputation.
Research I have seen say they have heard the word "no" 200 times a day. 400 times seems a bit excessive. I have alway had a hard time "playing the game" with friends. I put in the back of my head "they then think that the only time I want to talk with them is the time I am trying to sell them something". For me, I now focus on sharing.. "Hi (friend), I would love to share with you what I am doing....."
