man... this girl really could nail a cover. I was so pissed off when she died; it was like, at last our generation had a real genuine proper talent, our voice kinda thing - and then she was gone. R.I.P. Ms. Winehouse, surely singing with the angels.
When I first heard of Amy Winehouse, it was the song Rehab, and I couldn't get enough of her after I found her music. This woman was extraordinarily talented up there with the greats like Etta James, Aretha, Whitney, Rosemary Clooney, Billie Holiday, Mama Cass Elliot and many others. 2021, can't believe how long it's been. I still listen frequently. Her voice was magical. She could and can bring me up and then again bring me down. The lifestyle was too much for her at such a young age. As any addict knows, we think their is nothing that's gonna take us down, and then we get a little older and start realizing that '' it's"got me. Whatever that it may be.
