Gentlemen, wonderful job. You restore my faith in American craftsmanship. Also, demonstrated to this rookie that I should NOT tackle work like this myself.
Amazing chassis! Top notch quality and craftmanship. Great work Pete and team! Airkewld Is my top choice for my '68 project. Time to start saving. Cheers!
@@AirkewldVWs When I entered this world my parents brought me home from the hospital in a ‘55 beetle. My plan for spring 2022 is to sell my beloved 2006 Mini Cooper S convertible and begins a search for my forever ‘55 beetle. I want to maintain a stock look on the car but air ride would be a very cool addition. I love your videos on disc brakes and would LOVE to do 4-wheel disc brakes. Trust me… I’ll be in touch.
@@AirkewldVWs Thank you kindly for the informations! We had 1966 Karmann-Ghia 1300 and I was too young to appreciate the style and the car was too slow as well. I am newly retired, so I may be looking to restore one someday. Your videos are interested and educational!
Nice works guys

Another sweet looking chassis!
Pete keep up the awesome work
Looks beautiful 🤙 🇺🇸
Thx brother
Beautiful chassis, it’s almost a shame to hide it under a body. :) I love the design of the air ride in the rear.
Thanks Wes! Are we doing air on your ride soon?

Something g to shoot for. Clean sweet and lean.
Sick chassis!!
Perfect ❤️ 🇧🇷
I watched most of the programs patiently and I wonder, what is the cost for a restore project like this will cost minus the car... Anyone?
Figure a rough estimate is $20k +or- depending on Wheel selection. This one, $25k USD

Looking just how I like 👍 👌 it done crispy crispy clean LUV ❤️ ALONE RASTAFORI
That Chasis is so clean. Have you had any request for other than black?
It’s the best for longevity
Do you build an air ride front suspension or just use air shocks? Asking cause you use both in the rear. Beautiful work once again
Air ride is up front, it consists of air sleeve shocks up front.
@@AirkewldVWs just shocks though? You don’t use a bag in the front like you do for the rear. I guess that’s what I was curious about
For 20 years, we have only used shocks up front.
Can you build a fully automatic version?
if it came stock that way, yes.
Where did you get the chassis from?
Wolfsburg Germany
Irmão, tenho um “besouro” 1964, motor 1200cc que precisa ser ressuscitado.
