This is one of my favorite reactions I’ve done in recent history, and I’m truly so glad to see this talented group of guys getting more and more attention. They are pushing their own ability with every release, and this is definitely my favorite they’ve ever done. Thanks for checking it out!
Ekaterina is a Russian born Canadian. Opera trained. Peter Barber, the first lyric vocals, is also opera. This was something like 150 vocal tracks in total. The guys represent 3 countries. The runes, TBX are Norse and translate to TBG in latin - The Bass Gang. Cheers!
Yes!! I’m so glad you did this! The runes are basically TBG. I don’t know who has hit the lowest notes, but Tomi P (the one you paused on when you asked the question) has a 6.5 octave range, and can do whistle notes. Other members of the group: First to sing was Peter Barber (also a professional opera singer, has quite a few solo songs out, and does fantastic reactions/analyses). Second was Bobby Bass (aka Bobby Waters). He’s quite a TikTok sensation, and his voice often greatly reminds me of Thurl Ravenscroft. Tomi P lives in the Czech Republic and has a really extensive catalogue of solo work-you should check out Lion, Jericho, and Overwhelmed. And finally, Marwan Ayman, who is just 20 years old. He also has a huge catalogue of solo work and is incredibly gifted at arrangement as well as vocals. Here he did some interesting throat singing and I think some overtones as well. I hope you’ll check out more by these guys. Even tho the group has been around a couple years, I still feel like they’re pretty new-they’ve only released around 20 songs, in part because they live on three different continents and still have not all been in the same place. Most of their work is green screen and you can really see how much they’ve grown as a group as they’ve managed to gather better equipment and resources and learned to work together. There’s some incredible talent here, and I’ve really enjoyed watching them from their first release to this.
Love the Bass Gang !!! They are so talented Peter Barber is one of my favorite RUclips reactors/analysts. He is so informative without being condescending. I feel like I always come away with experiencing some new found information after viewing one of your reactions/analysis. I rarely watch any reactions that don't offer an analysis component. Keep up the stellar work Ken, love your channel. Peace. (The Bass Gang did a collaboration with Tim Foust, of Home Free, of Hooked on a Feeling.. Great fun. You may enjoy checking it out.) Thanks again, peace and love to all.✌🤗
It is generally considered that Bobby Bass has the lowest natural voice, with an incredible F#1 chest at his lowest (you can see this demonstated in TBG's Christmas cover of All I Want for Christmas Ft. Casper Fox). When we take bass vocal techniques into account Tomi P has the lowest note in any popular arrangement at an F0 ingressive note. Discounting fry-style techniques, Bobby Bass returns with an insane G#0 1st Subharmonic in a TikTok from a while back. Thanks for reacting to these guys, their latest album is incredible, and I would also consider looking at their solo work - both Tomi and Bobby have an amazing, and very different, cover of Sound of Silence, Peter Barber has Enemy and Marwan Ayman's halloween epic This is Halloween in 30 styles. Great analysis! Mentioning vocal extension and technique, we can note from this video that Tomi P has a very faint (I only noticed after Peter discussed it on vocal arts with Tomi himself) 2nd Throat Bass E1 - its pretty cool lmao.
My gosh, you're alive!!! Recomendation, react to more The Bass Gang, Geoff Castelucci, Colm Mcguiness and the trio Jonathan Young, Colm Mcguiness and Bobby Bass.
I love how The Bass Gang always explores how they can make a song more interesting and surprising as well as stretching the limits of their range and tone. Look for the rare and unique among their offerings.
I can’t remember who can go the lowest, but I believe Tomi P (sides of head shaved) can go the highest. Peter Barber (white shirt, no fur) is a professional opera singer in Phoenix and arranged this piece. BobbyBass (Bobby Waters), second soloist is a part of the Wellermen, who helped start the sea shanty fad. Marwan (white shirt with fur) confesses to needing more work on his higher range. They have all never been in the same country at the same time.
Actually Bobby and Peter met up with Tomi P in Czech this past summer. Marwen couldn't get a visa so he didn't join them. Their 4 Disney videos were made at that time.
Marwan the youngest from Egypt has hit b0. Tomi P from Czech Republic has likely the widest range super high to low. Peter Barber is classically trained bass. Bobby bass may have the lowest chest range. All have their own channels too. Peter is an awesome reactor with great analysis.
Great reaction! For previous songs, they’ve arranged their voices highest to lowest as Bobby filling the bass role, Marwan filling the baritone role, Tomi as tenor 2, and Peter as tenor 1, based on who has the lowest to highest natural range
Geoff Castellucci is premiered his new video Saturday, "Unshaken". He brought back the ghost cowboys from his video "Ghost Riders In The Sky". Jeff, Daryl, Jeoph and Goff when they were still alive. It is absolutely beautiful and epic.
I haven't heard this before:) Perfect background for photos with a fire show:) Could you record your reaction to two Polish bands? 1. Flamingo Flame. Save me (cover Jelly Roll) These two are half of former metal band The Sixpounder. Here in the ballad version 2. Potok Ostry. Nowy świat The singer has quite an interesting voice Greetings from Poland 🙌
I do feel baritones and altos get the short straw when it comes to the spotlight - they have an important role, but people almost always focus on the basses/tenors/sopranos. (And, as you say, the highest and lowest notes.) The Bass Gang have had a fairly slow rise, but have been putting out content more frequently of late. They have a lot of good material: if you do their latest album, do the songs in order as there is a through-line in the videos.
This is so interesting. Love all that bass. Excellent arrangement by Peter Barber. To get a closer look at each of their individual voices, you might try their 4 song cycle of Disney songs. Each of them arranged and "starred" in the video for one song. The first of those is Arabian Nights, which features the youngest member, Marwan Ayman, who also did the video production for this video. They have also done a collab with Tim Foust which is fun - Hooked on a Feeling.
These guys are so awesome! If you want to see something fun from them, check out "Friend Like Me" or "Hooked on a Feeling" (featuring Tim Foust). They are great, and just keep getting better!
Greetings from Bulgariq! Only a Russian woman can shout above 4 basses! Ekaterina is Russian, grew up in Canada. Unfortunately, the best female bass of our time does not participate in international performances: Diana Akudinova ♥
1st comment here Ken, and of this group Bobby, the 2nd male solo is the lowest, however his other group, The Wellermen , there is a lower voice also the youngest member Luke they are also well worth a listen, infact there is a collab with The Bass Gang and the Wellermen here. ruclips.net/video/Rf_TfHK3-3g/видео.html . Thanks for checking out The Bass Gang. It’s definitely a cool era for vocal music and a lot of possibilities still to explore!

Tacking on...in Tomi rendition of Hellfire you'll hear him sing F0 and F6! in the one performance.
This is a GREAT insightful comment btw
My gosh, you're alive!!! Recomendation, react to more The Bass Gang, Geoff Castelucci, Colm Mcguiness and the trio Jonathan Young, Colm Mcguiness and Bobby Bass.
I love the fusion of the high soprano and the basses....really cool sound, for sure. Thank you for sharing!
The original by Fever Ray is also incredible, there's a great live recording on the Arte channel

pretty sure Tomi can go the lowest and highest. If I recall correctly in his cover of hellfire he hits a F0 and a F6 at some point.

@@vickic5386 Like I said, they have never all been in the same country at the same time.

Love The Bass Gang!!!! ❤
Love this bunch. But my favourite male voice is in fact baritone. So bring on the fivers!

#BASSGANG
All 4 of them have very similar ranges
Peter Barber as the most powerful voice because he is training as a bass-baritone opera singer
Just react please with Jeepie-Arthur Nery singing performance ( Song: Kahit kailan or Let me the one) Thank you!
her voice is not piercing throug those male vocals. give this part to eivor and she'd rule them all.
do you ever read the comments? i doubt it....
