There's a reason the front suspension is that way: it's oriented in the same direction as the back. Notice the central free-spinning pipe is to the rear of the wheels. Your new front suspension is mirrored, that's why it bounces.

    • @aprcktiplaal9293
      @aprcktiplaal9293 Год назад +100

i actually came up with the suspension design.
and youre right, the direction of the suspension actually matters. ive tried putting the same suspension at the front, facing the same way, but the problem is that when you do that, the steering becomes unreliable.
the rear suspension is actually inspired by leaf spring suspension with a twist.
it works wonderful for the rear.
the front suspension is inspired by a torsion bar suspension, and works well too, i just forgot to mention that, for the suspension to properly work, the settings have to be maxed out.
because unlike regular straight suspension pieces. it doesnt become rock hard when maxed out, it still retains some wiggle room which is why it works so good.
also he made the front one block too wide :P but that doesnt really matter.

Hi Scrapman, the perpetual thing you have build might not work because you forgot the wedges to stop the arms from directly falling down. In this version you blend in in the Video , there were stoping triangle shaped blocks, so that the weight on the road has a ,,long arm" to spin the wheels further instead of directly falling down.

hi, im queen susie, who suggested the suspension design.
you built it perfectly other than the fact you made the front 7 blocks wide isntead of 5 like you said, but thats alright for the design.
the reason i chose a different design for the front is because the rear design cant be used for steering. the way the wheels will rotate prevents proper steering from working. the suspension in the front works great, the only thing is it needs to be stiffened up alot.
same with the rear, though that varies depending on how much load you put on it.
but you did a great job following my drawing, i was worried there was gonna be complications.
and huge thanks for putting it as the thumbnail, and for the compliments about the detail in the drawing!!

If you noticed, the blue plastic on the left side of the vehicle does not go out past the side of the chair, unlike the other side which seems to go out one past the chair. I wonder if that's why the steering wasnt working properly, but the front plastic T shape looks to be 5 blocks wide while ScrapMan's is actually 7. Besides that this suspension is awesome and kudos to the designer of it.

    Details that Scrapman missed:
    1. Hotdog Dragster - Missed the thruster (I assume the drawing meant for that to be the only engine)
    2. Perpetual motion spinner - Missed the wedges that limit the range of the rods movement in one direction.
As for the suspension, no details missed, however I believe it would behave better with a body on top of the chassis, as the body would limit some of the upward movement while still allowing the suspension to do its job.

You should make the perpetual motion wheel a separate video with different games. Keep up the good work!

The hot dog is missing a thruster that’s why it was not as speedy as a dragster.😂

Scrapman if you look at the animated video you may notice blocks on the same side as the rods and the blocks hold the rods in place instead of flopping like a fish out of water, when the rods just drop all the weight goes to the bottom and prevents it from doing anything.

I think you did not faithfully build the perpetual machine schematics. Each arm is supposed to have asymetrical stoppers so that it only has liberty to lean backward.
