- The PT-76B is one of the WORST tanks in War Thunder. This little Petey is subject to all sorts of Bottom 5 worst tanks videos but today... that's all about to change!
The PT-76B Reload Buff came yesterday with an outstanding reload of 5 seconds with an Aced crew! That's less than half what it was before meaning this thing can sling 200mm pen HEAT-FS rounds at an alarming rate.
The PT76B in War Thunder is also fully stabilised and is pretty quick around the battlefield. The battle rating at 5.3 hasn't changed with this buff but I'm sure it won't be long before it is. The good news is that Russia finally has a viable light tank in War Thunder at this BR!

PT is not bad really, but I was always mad about same reload time as is-1. So it changes a lot. But I think mobility is main problem of this vehicle, it's not fast enough to get 1st. Has one of the worst reverse speed and even 7.62 mm can penetrate, Shells also is not strong enough for one shot kills. So it is the worst moment when U got 2 criticals on enemy and he's killing you with machine guns
Honestly I’ve just been running it along with the ASU-57, IS1, ISU-122 and T-34-85 as a backup vehicle. Very fun to play with the very good reload.
In my opion its underpower in reality it can stop 12.7 mm
Personally, I always liked the vehicle. It's funny, right before Gajin's chat ban, a guy was pissed killed him. He said I used cheaterFs(like HEATFS) of course he was a 5.7 German line up, using the 200mm Tigor lol.
@Đông Nguyễn Hồ Minh .50 cals are a little too strong , this old ammo should pen about max 25mm . While the 7.92 or 8mm Mauser is to weak with 13mm , 8mm Mauser AP zips right through an AR500 steel plate with no problem . You can watch such videos here , were they test this .
I've been playing a lot of USA 5.7 and honestly I'm glad to have them on my side when I fight the germans on long range maps. IMO the HEAT-FS alone by itself is pretty powerful

I actually did quite well in it before the patch….
I think its an ok change, as it is small caliber HEAT-FS so ir doesn't too too much damage. The new reload rate makes it easier to pick apart enemies rather than hoping for an ammorack snipe
I will now hate this thing by the same magnitude as its reload-speed was reduced...
enjoyed being able to lolpen tigers before the buff, but only having the choice of gunner or driver sucked. faster reload makes it very nice

Using this tank reminded me of the pain I had to endure when the UK was added with my black prince hahaha, mind you this was pre-AP buff. 3-4 shots on most tanks, Got really good at memorising where the ammo was placed.
Reminds me of the early days in the M103 before they did something with it to. Used to have to memorize that crap.
It should be 5.7, not fair fighting heat and atgms in a tank that goes jogging speed and has its only advantage, armour, negated.

I feel like once you land your plane you should be able to swap out your payload. I don't like being locked into 1 type of payload when in reality you could change out on the ground
Its especially dumb cuse u can do that in air rb.
you actually can, once you land wait until your plane is 100% repaired, bail out and then choose the loadout you want and then you respawn with the loadout at the airfield
@@loganknezovich8394 can't do that in Ground RB only in air RB that feature is available
You can after you respawn at the end of the runway you can j out and switch loadout
I feel like the real buff is with the HEAT-FS. The shell used to be very unreliable at penetrating and even worse when it came to post-pen.
In my recent experience it's become a god tier shell.
is that just for that tank or heat/heatfs in general? those have been terrible since the nerf
i thought so too, the heatfs was quite unreliable in a good portion of the situations before, i noticed that it's actually penning stuff and doing damage afterwards too which is actually good, because the one thing this thing had over other tanks was the heatfs round, and it wasn't even working that well most of the time either lmao
@@blackwidowrsa In general back in the day I had no issue with HEAT-FS. It tended to work well. This tank in particular, perhaps due to the small caliber, had a very wonky HEAT-FS shell which seems to be fixed now for some reason.
Been getting killed a lot with it and decided to take out the thing recently. Suddenly I don't need to bring the APHE shells anymore which I had been bringing all the time before. The HEAT-FS became good.
Did this change very recently? HEAT has been a dumpster fire for the last few month or so
@@PAcifisti Haven't been using any other HEAT-FS (been grinding myself some France and crying about the AP) but this with the PT-76 is certainly recent. Never before has it been as annoying in battle and last time I played it some months back, it was certainly a very trashy shell.

I think this is the second reload buff it's gotten, it used to be around 10s with a full reload expert crew. It was honestly fine before this buff (around 7.6s reload), not the fastest but very good for picking apart crew and weakening the enemy team. Now it's actually quite good.
I’m in 5.7-6.0 at the moment in the Russian tech tree and I love the pt-76b it’s so fun with its heatfs and if you can find a place to snipe from it’s nice. Most of the stuff you shoot takes 3-4 shots but it’s honestly fun. I played a game where I got 8 kills with just the pt-76b and it’s so rewarding to have a game like that since the pt is just so easily destroyed.

long time PT-76B user here. my favourite thing about the pt is that it can take panthers headon with a decent reload, and that it has a quick af reaction time because of the stabilizer
The 76mm heat-fs overpressure is completely broken, I have even overpressured an m18 by shooting the ground next to it.
That's really not that broken. A large explosive round impacting in the general vicinity of an unprotected sentient hefty sack full of meat is going to cause some life ending damage.
BK-354M has over a kilogram of TNT equivalent so it's definitely possible

HEAT-FS has its goods at its BR but the armor and size of the pt-76 really lets it down sometimes
Because of this video, people started to use PT-76B more. I killed 3 of them ganging on me with my m22...

I atually love this thing apart from how long it is my back keeps getting shot when I'm in cover because its basically a limo
Wow maybe they will move it up to 6.0-6.3 now since it will have a play style quite similar to the M41 and the armor at higher BR’s tend to be thinner which should help it even more
6.3 with the average heavy tanks needs penetration above 200 pen frontally 💀
High tier should be around 8.0 or 7.0 and above and armors are usually not that much too
@@Rio_SenpaiYT True, It seems the pen values are underperforming against contemporary 76mm’s I thought it would be closer to the M41 and LePkz41. I’ve just always found it strange to see this clearly coldwar IFV facing mid WW2 tanks, but I suppose if you take vehicles like the cancerous R3 and EBR into account it shouldnt be strange.
This is hands down my favorite tank in the russian lineup, i’m using this thing all the way up with my bmp2m, it makes for a solid scout vehicle and the heatfs is really decent at taking out missle carriers

Hey Odd. I don’t know if you play heli, but they’ve downtier the first gazelle in the French tree to 9.0, and it seems they’ve also buffed it’s AP belt on the 20mm auto cannon. It’s just a joy to play right now !

These new intro skits are a welcome sight, and they do give me a laugh.
Used to love this tank, it was the first tank I had that I could run around with the heat-fs and basically pen whatever I wanted. Memories of popping tiger 2s in the back of the turret and ammo racking them

if you use aphe when side shooting things go pop, save heatfs for front shots or long range

Ah, D&D... I remember the days happily slaughtering orcs and all sorts of other fantastical fantasy creatures with my friends. A bit of a cliché I know but apart from self-made campaigns I played The Temple of Elemental Evil a few times both as a player and a DM.
FWLIW: Call of Cthulhu is another roll-playing game absolutely worth playing, especially if you fancy a little helpless paranoia between D&D campaigns.

I stopped using the PT-76B about a year ago, because of its reload. Now i was just checking its stats and it became one of my fav tanks at 5.3.
Also who noticed that APHE on this got buffed from 53mm penetration to over 100?
In this episode, a man single-handedly struggles to keep ship from sinking through fast bailing with a bucket with a hole in it.
Can you do more of those skits as the intro as you talk to the vehicle
Pro tips: to kill a German tank you need to shoot at the right side you can kill the driver, gunner and the command and then shoot the left to finish it off.
USA and British tanks are opposed to that
My main vehicle is the PT-76 with 336 games and I didn't knew this. That hint will save me a lot of trouble.
you're welcome, You can also experiment with the protection analysis you can see how to kill the tank most effective way And then test it out in a battle or in test vehicle.
Just shoot on driver but little bit to the middle
Centre mass on Pz.IV is deadly it'll take 4 crew out and ammo if lucky. Similar with tiger.

the only thing I was jealous of in this video is the green camo on your TIS MA... I only have the grey camo, and even though I do have the green camo on the premium peshka which doesn't look special on that particular plane, I wish. had it on my TIS MA since I prefer using cannon cas over bombs

when this tank was added in the game it had somewhere around 6.7 sec reloading time with ace crew and maxed out loader.
it was 7.1 aced now its 5 seconds aced

odd can you do the new IS2 321 legend of victory.. haven't been using any of those monsters and I wanted a "refresher".. lol
Why is this thing seen as a bad tank? good mobility, good gun fully stabilized, low siluette and good reload. It has no armor but that's just every light tank ever, in prospective, the M18 has less pen, longer reload and no stabilizer, but that never stopped people from playing it.
No gun depression, slower then the m18, no 50cal, heatfs postpen is bad vs ww2 vehicles since theyre more spaced out, and the aphe can only pen 98mm at 10m, i still love it tho
