The church is the body of Christ. These man-made buildings are but structures that will be destroyed but the true Church is our body(believers) built by God himself in his own image where His Holy Spirit dwells(1 Cor 3:16 ; 1 Cor 6:19).

If you are going to include such churches as those in Sedona AZ and the Air Force Academy, you should surely have noted the magnificent and innovative Abbey Church at Saint John's University, Collegeville, MN, by Marcel Breuer. Among the historical Churches should certainly be the beautiful Hagia Sofia (although now a mosque, I believe) in Istanbul.
Maybe because it is not a church is the reason why they did not include it. It still is beautiful, though, and with its complete mosaics and iconostasis it must have been even more beautiful.

The church is the body of Christ. These man-made buildings are but structures that will be destroyed but the true Church is our body(believers) built by God himself in his own image where His Holy Spirit dwells(1 Cor 3:16 ; 1 Cor 6:19).

Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you.
If you want to be a part of the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus, you need to live holy life based on the obedience towards the laws and commandments of God. Believing in Christ without obedience will not save you from Hell. The Lord God and Lord Jesus are holy; You cannot come to Him with your unholy hearts. That is the work of the true churches. It is to beautify the hearts of the children of God by living holy life and NOT TO BEAUTY THE LOOKS OF RELIGIOUS CHURCH AND TO GET DESTROYED FOR THIS ABOMINABLE WORK.
