That is one gorgeous Jeep, that blue really looks great. I’m really starting to want one of these. I know a guy with a 401, that’s a good start I guess lol
T-4 trans., or a truck trans? Looks like a t4, using first to start. Built a 78 CJ5 with the 401 loved it except dealing with the soft doors. Now have an 85 CJ7 with a Ford H.O. 5.0 serpentine belt engine, hyd. clutch, T5 (T4 with extra gear) 5Sp. hard doors, galvanized tub, (85/86 only) and air conditioning! Perfect old man Jeep after owning 4 of these since I bought a new 76 Levi's!
@@2toes2good15 Yes, it’s fairly straight forward. Most things bolt right up, lots of good write-ups available online. I ended up going custom motor mounts though
Great looking and sounding CJ7, I get rid of your handles on the roll bars and replace it with 550 parachute cord handles. Handle to get on your roll bars there in the windshield are going to be skull Crashers
I used to. I put the car together with my father when I was 15. Daily drove it for 2 years during high school. Now I put less than 1000 miles on it a year
@@imagein212 For Reference...what RPM are you running when you hit 65? I'm floating around 3000rpms at 65. I am on 35s, with 4.10 gears and a TH400. Thanks

That big V8 sound really pumps me up... *flexes his biceps*
Hahaha
Glad to see another REAL jeep!
Yeah, that's the sound we love.
Amazing vehicle. Thanks for sharing the drive....

I appreciate it! They’re fun to work on and so many customization routes you can take. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it
Es una caja de relaciones largas????
Very nice V8 sound ! Greetings from Germany :)
Thanks Tom! Beautiful country
I took my 74 cj steering box in to local shop and had them shorten up stop to stop turns and it’s one of the best things I ever did .
Nice ride buddy.
OK...so the squeak is normal! LOL Nice Jeep!
AMC V8s 304, 360, 390, 401 had the sweetest exhaust note!!!
Yes I agree. They definitely sound great 😊
That steering ratio holy hell lol
Crazy ass hills!
suicidal..love it!!!

Trans is T176 4sp. I forgot the gear ratio off the top of my head but it’s not very road friendly. Lots of low end tq in first to second though
My dad had a 401 in his cj7 what a beast
what size lift and tires?
Niye garajlarınız ve atölyeleriniz dar vede tavanı alçak ..uzun değil kısa ölçüleriniz tam tersi olması gerekmezmi 😮😮
Would you give engine specifics? Cam, heads. Im rebuilding a 360 for my grand wagoneer right now
That 360 sounds just like mine with that exhaust 😂
Why do you keep putting it in neutral?????
Did you swap in the 360 and if so did everything adapt the new engine or did you have to fabricate?

Love the CJ. Question, you running a carb on that thing? Just seems like those hills would be an issue. It seems to run great
Thank you! Yes shes running a 4barrel carb. I just hold the throttle steady up the hill and she runs fine
I have a 1987 jeep wrangler collector's edition with a 360 v8 that has a 12 inch lift with 42 inch tires things a fucking monster
Love it. Sounds a little bit better than mine :-)
I appreciate it! What setup does yours have ?
@@imagein212 AMC 304 / T18 with headers and 2.5" stainless steel exhaust
Nice setup! 👍🏼
Jesus Christ that's a steep hill
does it snow there
Damn what's up with that steering dang
Sounds Great! What Camshaft?
Nice Jeep! What is your engine setup? And what is your exhaust setup? Thanks
I just bought one of these with the I6 in it for 4 grand.
How’s it coming so far ? Did you get her fixed up
@@deborahchesser7375 it’s not bad, it has rust problems but it runs good and is very fun to drive.
Hey pal, what seats are those?
Niiiiiice👍🏼
How is the gas? Going to look at a 79 tomorrow. It's on 33s not sure what you're riding on
Gas is not good lol she’s sitting on 35’s. I’d say it gets around 9mpg city
@@imagein212 sheesh lol might just go get an xj instead
what mufflers you have? sounds good!
Flowmaster Super 44’s
What transmission is in it?
T176 4speed
Ótimo
I am 14 and I am going to look at a 85 cj7 with the 304 in it.
Sounds fun! I got this one when I was 15, did the resto-mod on it and drove it to high school :) great memories
@@imagein212 I bet it was a blast to drive to school, especially if it snows

Hou need to let that thing rev a little more, before you shift. Let that engine run..
do you have stock 360 ?
and what exaust you have ? do you have instagram i want talk with you
Reach out to me on Instagram @evo_alex
Do you daily drive it?
I used to. I put the car together with my father when I was 15. Daily drove it for 2 years during high school. Now I put less than 1000 miles on it a year
id be scared to death in that rickity old thing....
Nice Jeep. How is she on the highway. I got mine up to 81mph and it felt like warp9
Thanks John. It’s a bit rough on the highway with the gearing and all. I usually cruise at 70 tops. An extra gear would be nice lol

Need a better steering box
Steering ratio like a semi truck
Ain’t got no dash
His whole area is downhill.
