Great preaching of the word Pete! I love the fact that you tell of your past and show everyone that you can change your life and find the love of Jesus!
I’m a new viewer and you make me proud, hopeful and blessed to be an American and proud to know someone like you is a citizen of the United States and a brother in Christ Jesus.
Man!!! I love Pete, what can one say after watching this video you gave a lesson on watering and a lesson on living and living for God it’s awesome we all jave fallen short of Gods glory but he’s a forgiving God and a righteous God. It’s been such a blessing learning from your channel and from Jeff he’s awesome I talk to him at least every other day sometimes a few times a day getting advice pointers and tips on my lawn. I’m not sure of his relationship with you but you have a great person on your team. Thanks Jeff and God bless you Pete!
In the middle of a Tractor Time with Tim video with a minute left and I get notified of a new video from GCI Turf! Doesn’t get much better on a Sunday morning!!
Pet I know this video is a year old but just wanted to watch it again to make sure I had my water right. LOL Anyway when I was outside the UPS guy pulled up to deliver a package and he told me I had the best looking yard in town that he has seen. GCI TTTF baby!! Just thought you would like to hear that. It sure made my day because it's been dry and hot so you know what that mean you have to say on top of it. First year guy here also following your guide best I can and we got 1.5 in of Jesus water with 4 cooler days. My grass just loved it and it may look better right now then spring. I don't want to see my water bill though. Gad Bless!
Awesome video !!! I get a lot out of the turf info you share but most of all I enjoy hearing you share your testimony and hearing you share the gospel. God bless my friend
Is there a button that would count for a million likes. Love this video...not only knowledge but topics on America and faith. Pete you would be an awesome guy to sit down over a glass of sweet tea with lol.
This is a great video from start to end. I have to say you are a great inspiration to me as I have been through some similar situations in my time. I have found that doing lawn care has helped me to stay focused and learn to actually enjoy myself. I have your guide, sprayer and tips and all of the liquid products to keep me busy and am loving it. The second half of your video is an eye opener and I appreciate you sharing with us. I have a lot to learn and am blessed to be hearing if from you Pete, Thank you and God bless you
Superb information about watering and lawn care like always. My Neighboor is not even a spiritual person like I am but, he liked the fact that you shared your ideas without fear. All around a positive message. Outstanding
Hey,hey the comment about truck drivers, just joking. Pete your videos are spot on. With lawn and faith, family. Being a professional driver I had been in situations where I felt the good lord had been sitting next to me. Recently I rolled up an accident where two adult men were laying dead on the highway. At first I was in shock but once I started to talk to emergency response I felt a calming sensation that the situation was under control. Lets not forget the blinding snow storms and severe thunderstorms I have encountered over the years. Pete keep your family safe and healthy GOD BLESS you and your family on independence day.
Another great video, Pete! Thanks for spreading the good word of the Bible, and the knowledge you have of everything Turf related! And a belated, Happy Independence Day!
That’s much more important on golfing greens, which are cut around 1/16” to 1/4” long, and are grown in a soil with a high sand content. They dry out quickly.
LOVED this video !!!! Especially the end. You are on point my friend !!!! I sent this to my dad in Tennessee. He is old school and believes in cutting his fescue every week but he USUALLY listens to you and not me. May Go continue to bless you my brother !!! I have him convinced to over seed with your seed. Introducing him to Humic. Please pray for me he is OLLLLLD SCHOOL !!!! Waiting to see the Bermuda !!!!
Sounds like you were my church service this morning. Lol. Pastor talked about the most important freedom we have in Jesus Christ also. Keep spreading the Good Word Pete. God bless and enjoy the rest of the Independence weekend.
Thank for the video! I installed a Hydrawise hunter system last year and am getting to enjoy it this year but I’m still learning it a bit and because I’m on a well I was trying to be conservative and ended up with some stress as a result...... I doubled the amount of time I’m running it and just changed it to the front on odd days and the back on even days and I also never had a bagger so I would cut it often but I’m having a bagger installed this week so I’m going to go ahead and let it grow and stay off it and when I do get to cut it I can finally bag it..... love your videos ! Live in Wallingford ct.
Excellent information as we're dealing with a 92-95° heat wave up here in the north (midwest). I was wondering exactly what you're talking about in the video. Very much appreciated!
Pete, when you're into the syringing phase of your watering, are you still doing your typical long infrequent waters throughout the week? Or just the 5 minute cycles on hot days? Thanks for all the advice!
Hey Pete love the channel, You and Your content. Great information, I live in southeast pa. and am going to be doing a renovation this year, we bought the house the end of last summer my whole lawn is white clover and plantain except a patch where I had a tree cut down over the winter,. I cleared the wood chips and put down good soil there. I seeded that area with tall fescue after watching your channel for a while, I just got a small amount to try it in that area, it came up great but I think I put down to much seed, it is spotty on how well it is doing, the less fuller areas the grass blades are a lot thicker, the really full spots they are thinner blades, maybe over crowded? It gets hot and humid here in summer, 90+ and humid. We get thunderstorms throughout the summer, like yesterday we got 3" of rain in a half hour. I see you say and 1" per week, but with the heat scorching in full sun I probably shouldn't wait to long to water if needed? The ground seems dried out in a day or so. It gets cold here in the winter as well and can stay in the single digits or teens, and can snow in November. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out the best time to start the reno to give the lawn the best chance to do well, between smoking it and seeding ( don't want to start to soon as to hot, but also don't want to start to late to give it a better chance to make it through winter) I know that's a lot of information to read and kind of all over the place, It's my first comment after watching about 50 of your videos. So any input appreciated either by you or maybe someone else who reads through this whole thing who may be in my area with good success with tall fescue and renovations. Oh i have about 12,000 sq ft I'll be doing. Thanks and God Bless!
Question when to water when your 90 degree weather with high humidity and thunderstorms rain every 2 to 3 days now almost 2 weeks. Ground measures wet almost 10 inches down clay soil.
You're so right. Love how people live under the illusion that they are really free, while they are so willing to give up those limited freedoms for fear of catching the flu.
Pete, yard is looking great! Have you giving it any thought to any landscaping lighting on your property? With all your nice trees, if you put some lighting to show them off and your lawn.....I would enjoy you showing the process and the after look of it. Enjoy your videos!!!! God bless.....
One question ... if you have 11 zones and you water each for an hour, what time do you start watering? 12 midnight? I know you want to be done watering by around 8am, but then it means your grass is wet all night, 3 nights per week. Concern? Thanks
As a retired firefighter, I love your support of those who serve in the military and public safety. I’m new to the channel and hope to lean more on taking care of my lawn.
Great info. I was worrying about my grass checking out but I needed the reminder to stay off of it. Thank you for everything you do and for your testimony.
Pete you said you have 11 zones and run the cycle 2 times at 30 min per zone to get one hour. That would be 11 hours of straight watering. Do you split up the zones to different days? I very well could have missed something bc my daughter kept Interrupting me while I was watching today.
Hey Pete, you've talked before about having a well at your house and shop. Did those two properties come with the well? Or did you have them put in? Could you do a video about your home well? I've always wanted to have one drilled but need more education. Thanks!
I cut all but the stressed part when I am in this situation. Also need to tweak the sprinkler coverage if needed. Sometimes just a different head (rotation, distance, whatever) fixes dry spots.
Great preaching of the word Pete!
I love the fact that you tell of your past and show everyone that you can change your life and find the love of Jesus!

Pete! You mentioned not mowing when the grass is heat stressed, how long should you let it get before you should mow again?
Thanks Pete,
Love this guy !
Love the Crocs Brother!! Crocs gang!!
Pete , our freedoms are what makes this country great. Shame it's not taught to kids in school anymore.
You're so right. Love how people live under the illusion that they are really free, while they are so willing to give up those limited freedoms for fear of catching the flu.
