  • Hankook Tire is set to become a leading global tyre company through long-term and consistent investments in R&D and through the expansion of production facilities worldwide. Hankook Tire has seven manufacturing facilities in four countries.
    Geumsan Plant, Korea
    - Built in 1997 and located in the heart of Korea, it is located 200 km south of Seoul and 300 km north of Pusan
    - Area: 872,000 square metres
    - Annual production capacity of 24 Million units
    - Hankook Tire invested almost KRW 235 billion to expand production capacity for UHP (Ultra High Performance) tyres so that it could meet increasing global demand and maintain consistently high levels of quality at its Geumsan plant
    - The Geumsan plant is a fully automated production facility
    - The third phase of expansion at Korea's Geumsan plant was completed in December 2009, and the plant's TBR facility was expanded in January 2010.
    Daejeon Plant, Korea
    - Built in 1979 and located near the R&D Center at Daejeon
    - The world's biggest tyre-only manufacturing plant with high levels of efficiency
    - Annual production capacity of 24 Million units
