I tried making a pansy the other day. Had never tried before. The first petal was not good but did look like a petal. By the third, I had it. Embroidery is easy. It's just time consuming and you have to be able to plan. You may have an hour or so where you're doing the same task repeatedly. Planning and patience is key. I'm happy to be getting into flowers finally!! Your petals are beautiful.
Ruth Norbury Art you got me to try! I came across your video. Hadn't tried anything in years. I had the embroidery thread tin out for my daughter. We saw this and we both thought it was beautiful. She said it was hard and, of course, I told her it was patience and practice. Your video got us going for hours. We kept trying until we finally got it. Kept trying different threads out of the tin. My 5 year old learned a lot and it was all sparked by your video:) You keep makin em', we'll keep watchin em'

How many strands of silk thread need to use ?
I think it was two strands with a strand of silver machine embroidery thread, but if you watch the first one it will tell you for definite

Do you mean the embroidery hoop? That stretches the fabric to make the stitches more even.
