      Exactly! People don’t realize how difficult it truly is. Literally NO ONE would choose this. No one. I personally would give just about anything to just be able to drive my car again, go to a grocery store. Just basic things that I really miss doing. This is NOT a choice. Really irritating when people think it is… but we will get through it. I believe that, even though it’s very very hard to believe often times I just have to hold on to that hope!

      I was also on opiods (methadone) for about 14 years, I took my last dose of methadone 8 months ago, it will get better you just have to push through. just remember how many are going through what you're going through and many have already been through it so your not alone. also try going on some of the forums I spent countless hours reading peoples experiences during withdrawal and it helps for some reason. how long has it been since last dose? can you talk to your doctor about getting you on clonodine (not klonopin) this medication makes symptoms less intense. if you have any questions let me know I can point you towards certain supplements that can help speed things up a bit.

      I don’t have personal experience but I’ve heard that as well. I know they don’t carry the seizure risk benzo withdrawal does which I think is why people don’t tend to focus as much on withdrawal from them, people don’t really realize the seizure risk is far from the only or even worst thing. The pure misery of it all can be almost unbearable. Whether it be SSRI, SNRI, benzo or any psych med that can cause bad withdrawal we need to be better educated on them before ever starting them! I know I’d have never touched a benzo had my doctor warned me about this

    • @Patricksbenzowithdrawal
      @Patricksbenzowithdrawal  Месяц назад +4

      Yes absolutely! PVCs have been a very consistent issue for me, they’re not quite as bad these past few weeks as they have been but I’ve had times it felt like every other heart beat was skipped or doing something weird. Very scary for sure but I have had my heart checked and it was good. Dizziness and balance issues are horrible. Occasionally I’ll be able to stand for a few minutes or walk a little without them but many times I’m having to hold onto walls to walk. I even had to get a cane, just in case I needed it. As far as aches and pains I do have them but I have diagnosed Fibromyalgia for the past 15 years. Far before I ever even started taking benzos, so pain is a constant for me and I can’t say it’s due to the benzos since I do have fibromyalgia. I’m not saying they may not have made it worse, I just can’t say for certain one way or another. I blame my pain on fibromyalgia not benzos but I do know many people have aches and pains through withdrawal.

    I cold turkeyed 16mg of Subutex after a decade on it. That was a bad withdrawal. It still doesn't even come close to what I've experienced going through benzo withdrawal. It is worse than any opiate withdrawal I've been through by 100 times and also goes on and on and on. I'm tapering V now and even 1% cuts are as bad as or worse than cold turkeying opiates.

      A few things, I’m kind of embarrassed to say I didn’t know different kinds of POTS existed😬. For me I’ve had POTS, as in very high heart rate when in an elevated position, for just about my entire taper. I’ve had my heart rate hitting 150-160 just simply by standing up. Over the past 3-4 months that particular symptom has GREATLY improved. I’ll still have episodes of it but then I’ll have times I can stand up for 5-10 minutes and my heart rate never goes much above 115-120. I still don’t feel that it’s back to normal but it definitely has improved for me

    How do you cope with the panic attacks during your taper? I’ve been on klonopin for panic attacks since I was 15, 28 now. It doesn’t work much anymore but I stay on it because I am so so so terrified of tapering. I’m worried it’ll be worse since I started it when my brain was still so young and developing. I can hardly tolerate my anxiety now so I feel like a taper would absolutely break me… I wish you the best Patrick ❤

    We are all wired very differently and there is a spectrum on everything. We are all effected very differently from all foods and all drugs. No one since human existence can take credit for anything in life. You do not get to pick and choose who and what you become in life. Everything in life is all chance and luck. You can not take credit for your success, achievements, personality, looks, IQ, height, genetics, thoughts and all the hard work that you put in to become successful. You cannot take credit for who you are. Only psychopaths and Narcissistic and those who have the Kanye West god complex thing going on will deny this hard to swallow truth

    How long before a person is physically addicted to benzodiazepines? I hear from 2 weeks to a month. Thx for your videos

    • @Patricksbenzowithdrawal
      @Patricksbenzowithdrawal  16 дней назад +1

      Unfortunately I’m not able to give a good answer to that. I can say for me I was first prescribed them in 2019, I had no idea my body had become physically dependent on them until mid to late 2022 when I realized how much worse my anxiety had become while on them. Once I started trying to taper it really sunk in that I was completely dependent on them. Thankfully my doctor is working with me to slowly taper down.
      Keep in mind physical dependence and addiction are different. Addiction tends to seek out a substance for the “high” of it whereas dependence means your body isn’t able to function well without it but without the addiction seeking behavior. For me I’ve only ever taken them as directed and still became dependent. If you are on them just be very careful and follow doctors advice! Taper slowly if you’re able!
      I’m sorry I can’t be of more help but hopefully that at least helps a bit🙏🏻
