Should she have handled it better and moved on, yes, but they showed her having a nervous breakdown almost, which can happen if you have emotional overload. Also, growing up without a father, psychologically it is also understandable that she would get hyper attached to the man she fell in love with. Of course I don’t condone what she did.

She never wanted to come to this house. It's noor jhan and Safeer who wanted her to stay with them at any condition. When Safeer left Sumbul she should also show self respect like maha. She was a teacher before marriage she can started her job live in hostel but she opted to be the unwanted wife of someone. When you don't respect yourself how can you expect someone else to respect you? Maha isn't saint but she has sympathy for Sumbul. Maha can treat Sumbul like her maid but she decided to speak for her.
