I've actually binged the whole campaigns in this DLCs, It was a lot of fun, I also liked the french voice acting 🥖 You've done a very good review of this DLCs and I should note that some of the issues you mentioned are tied to the base game but luckily the game keeps recieving updates to improve the experience, for example the AI is planned to be reworked thus it improves the gameplay experience, This kinda also boosts the replayability aspect because you'd want to replay the campaigns after the AI is reworked.
I really enjoyed the Ardennes 1940 campaign as the French. Generally the Allied forces tend to be technically equal or better than the axis forces except for the odd battle fought as the Italian forces. So it was nice to play as a weaker allied side with your backs to the wall. Made for some really intense moments throughout.
I really wish that we had the mission editor on the Nintendo switch game. Even if it couldn’t be online having the option to just go into your own mission would be cool.
Good review man. I'll likely never revisit the 2nd half of the DLC again as I'm not into the vehicle stuff but I still loved the first half of the DLC.
Yeah I agree with this assessment. Ardennes 1940 & 1944 is worth the asking price, but I honestly was expecting more. Part of the issue is that it came after the Normandy DLC, which is by far the best DLC for not just Easy Red 2, but Easy Red in general.... it's extremely hard to top it. So naturally, 1940 & 1944 just feels weaker.
I really like this game. Got all dlcs and love the depth of this game as well as all these vehicles you never get to play unless you play war thunder or wow…
My honest opinions on DLCs -Stalingrad, good but need an improvement, especially buildings destruction, shooting through and clipping in blocks is annoying -Normandy is a must have. Sadly there're no French troops -Ardennes, lackluster. Honestly I've expected more French stuff. Needs more stuff to justify itself I wonder if in future ER2 will just full emerge DLC into the game. Colliding DLCs may get problematic
I mostly agree with your assessment. Stalingrad is just disappointing and janky to me, when you put the AI in the urban environments they tend to stroke out. Normandy is and probably will remain the definitive expansion to the game, it’s really a labour of love by the developers and feels great to play. While you can call this campaign lackluster compared to the other expansions, it dropped pretty quickly after Normandy compared to the previous development gaps between expansions and is priced fairly in accordance with the content.
My point was that it is frankly puzzling to omit the M24 in DLC covering the Ardennes offensive, when it was such a prominent and recognizable vehicle from that operation. Am I expected to pay for DLC to my DLC?

What you are suggesting is not sensible. These vehicles should be in *this* expansion, they would never fit better in a different expansion.

Give it into next year and I think a few updates the ‘all fronts’ package will be the standard game but for 15 bucks

Will likely review new DLCs, but not previous ones. Favourite DLC would have to be Normandy, it’s very extensive and well put together.

Their are many vehicles that this game is missing but give corvine studios time and they’ll add the vehicle in some new DLC
