In the part where Jisoo (pink hair) falls, it's a visual message. People take pictures of her painting in the background, idolizing her as an artist, but if she takes a step outside the line, any slip, the cameras become guns ready to shoot.
I cannot understand why people act so horrible toward them. I mean, I don't stan them like I do BTS, but these girls are AMAZING, sweet, beautiful souls, and they work their tails off. So thank you, BLINKS, for taking care of the girls -- they deserve the world!!
Black Pink usually don't do green screen in most of their MV. The only green screen is on their "Whistle" MV. Please react "How You Like That".....the set up is insane and it is no green screen.
Yeah their collabs were great. -Sadly, only *ICE CREAM with Selena Gomez* has a music video. -Their track with Lady Gaga is *SOUR CANDY* , sadly there's no music video for it though but there are lyric videos and fanmade videos. Yeah it would've been epic to have a video with queens from the east and the west but covid happened so 🙄 -They also have a track with Dua Lipa called *KISS & MAKE UP* and it sadly also doesn't have a music video. -Their song with Cardi was actually pretty decent. It's called *BET YOU WANNA* . For this one, Cardi tried her hardest to make her verses clean. The overall song is actually a vibe.
The only music video where they used greenscreen was for "WHISTLE". By the way, just when you thought the lyrics are already so good, the scenes in DDU-DU DDU-DU also hold deep meanings. The scene where Jisoo trips/falls is iconic. If you notice, there's a huge painting behind her. And the paparazzi are taking pictures of it, symbolizing this perfect idolized image people see, but when she falls or makes a mistake, those same people are so quick to change sides and attack her and see her as a villain (as represented by their phones turning into guns). If you notice they are also blindfolded, meaning those haters have the luxury of anonymity so they can hate on her how much they want without being afraid because they are devoid of any consequences. DDU-DU DDU-DU is an onomatopoeia (a word depicting a sound) so it's not tied to any language. DDU-DU DDU-DU is the sound of gunshots. This was them alluding to shoot down their haters. If their finger gun dance wasn't already a dead giveaway, you can make the DDU-DU DDU-DU sound when imagining machine guns. I hope all this info helps 😅

I'm a metalhead from your generation, Jen, and I too fell into the K-pop hole with Blackpink. Their music is just different and fresh. Big props to their producer who likes to mix genres, and not afraid to challenge what is acceptable in pop music. He's also a fan of middle eastern instrumentation and sounds (like the Beatles, or Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin)- as you'll hear at the end of this song- electric sitar and flute, mixed with electric drums and heavy bass, it's EDM but also very ROCK!
jisoos pink wig scene has a lot of meaning if you look back you see those people taking pictures of the perfect picture behind her that never changes, then when she fell the people put on masks and point their phones like guns at her. it’s basically saying that when idols make mistakes people put on a mask and shoot you down

Some trivia: Lisa was the only one who could throw the pink chalk without getting it all over her. Jennie's popcorn trick was an accident, she was waiting for the shoot to begin and tossed the popcorn. The director liked it and told her to do it in video, she couldn't!! So they used the shot they got by accident. The shot with Jisoo in the pink wig was a dig at the Kpop paparazzi, that blows up every minor "oops " by an idol into a scandal. Jennie has "without a doubt" one of the most imitating Death Stares in Kpop. Only Su-Metal matches her Death Stare. The MV's are great, but to really understand their level of talent you must see the live performances such as, Sure Thing, anything from Coachella, their TV show performances.

She easily takes out the white king, winning the game. 3: The fennec fox represents a person’s core values, and indicates a solitary or independent individual. By the way, just when you thought the lyrics are already so good, the scenes in DDU-DU DDU-DU also hold deep meanings. The scene where Jisoo trips/falls is iconic. If you notice, there's a huge painting behind her. And the paparazzi are taking pictures of it, symbolizing this perfect idolized image people see, but when she falls or makes a mistake, those same people are so quick to change sides and attack her and see her as a villain (as represented by their phones turning into guns). If you notice they are also blindfolded, meaning those haters have the luxury of anonymity so they can hate on her how much they want without being afraid because they are devoid of any consequences.
DDU-DU DDU-DU is an onomatopoeia (a word depicting a sound) so it's not tied to any language. DDU-DU DDU-DU is the sound of gunshots. This was them alluding to shoot down their haters. If their finger gun dance wasn't already a dead giveaway, you can make the DDU-DU DDU-DU sound when imagining machine guns. I hope all this info helps 😅

I'm a metalhead from your generation, Jen, and I too fell into the K-pop hole with Blackpink. Their music is just different and fresh. Big props to their producer who likes to mix genres, and not afraid to challenge what is acceptable in pop music. He's also a fan of middle eastern instrumentation and sounds (like the Beatles, or Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin)- as you'll hear at the end of this song- electric sitar and flute, mixed with electric drums and heavy bass, it's EDM but also very ROCK!

Some trivia: Lisa was the only one who could throw the pink chalk without getting it all over her. Jennie's popcorn trick was an accident, she was waiting for the shoot to begin and tossed the popcorn. The director liked it and told her to do it in video, she couldn't!! So they used the shot they got by accident. The shot with Jisoo in the pink wig was a dig at the Kpop paparazzi, that blows up every minor "oops " by an idol into a scandal.
Jennie has "without a doubt" one of the most imitating Death Stares in Kpop. Only Su-Metal matches her Death Stare.
The MV's are great, but to really understand their level of talent you must see the live performances such as, Sure Thing, anything from Coachella, their TV show performances.
