I was a student upstate, every break we had from the moutain I traved to 42nd st. Every entrence I made to the city, was like walking into a movie, then later years I moved to manhattan for college and music, it was always overcrowded, people talked to me, greetings on my outfit, I shared blunts with strangers. Now Im in China, watching NY being effected by some dirty city from China, this makes me teared down more than when my father died. I just wanna say, for years, thank new york for accepting me, and I will pray for the city every single minute.
Another wonderful video, pity that it is such a sad moment for humanity, here in Rio de Janeiro we can count the cars that pass through the streets of the downtown, they even have minutes between each other, not even the tallest buildings are left with the lights on, very sad ...
The good thing is that the earth can regenerate itself at this time. Just look at Venice canals in Italy. They are clean for the first time after many decades! Stay safe and dont worry this will all pass.
This looks like it could be in a meaningful scene of a movie, when ppl have a chance to stay at home and think abt their lives, the streets rest. Anws I think we should have a few days each year like this as a tradition, quarantined at home, for tribute to this virus and its time for earth to rest to
I did go to all the places I usually don't because the crowds : Times Square, Rockefeller Center ... everywhere, beautifully eerie totally science fiction and it felt sooooo good
Love my city but this one hurts bad, weve been through everything and this one takes the cake for me, this is going to hurt the city so bad, need to stay strong.
Impressive! Is it more relaxed now in terms of the rules? I live at 50th and 2nd in Midtown East and I desperately want to launch my Mavic Mini from my roof but I'm terrified I'll get in trouble. Maybe I'll take a chance.
Excellent footage. I've worked with a Mavic Pro 9. However, I was wondering , please, DroneFanatic if it is possible to borrow some of your footage for an informational/educational short film. Hope all is good with you. Thanks, Mark.
What streets are these? I want to see the streets that are always bustling with car and foot traffic.... like Times Sq. Union Sq. Columbus Circle, little Italy and Chinatown. Fifth ave. Broadway The outer boroughs Queens mall, Atlantic mall, by Barclays, Bedford Avenue
@Lloyd Waters you realize that many states are now vilifying New York as if we are the reason the rest of the country has infections, right? They're starting to discriminate against us the same way it sounds like you're discriminating against Chinatown. People in that part of the city are no more responsible for this situation than any New Yorker is, which is to say, it straight up is not their fault. People out playing sports in parks and having coronavirus parties should be fined because yeah, they're definitely making it worse, but that sh*t is happening all over the country. Arrogant stupidity is the way of our people, I guess.
Busses still running, taxis still going about their normal business, people doing their chores. In cities around the world, the streets are void of traffic and people yet in New York, the city with the biggest outbreak, it looks more like a quiet Sunday morning. It does not look like a city in lock down!
Are you kidding? For NYC this was a ghost town! This is like a 95% reduction in activity on the streets. I live in Midtown Manhattan and the one and only time I've left my apt building in the past 3 weeks it was downright spooky. 8PM on a Sunday and the streets about as empty as 4AM on a typical Wednesday.
first of all, I'm shook and second you're using ONE of my favorite sleeping at last songs❤︎ iv known this song for soo long lol, but this song is just so peaceful and relaxing, you know? iv actually been listening to sleeping at last since I was in 6th grade (2015) (im in 10th grade now)
Hi there, I'm with CBS News. Crazy to see the streets so empty! Did you take this video? And if so, would CBS News be able to use it, with credit to you, in all media/platforms (plus affiliates & international), worldwide in perpetuity? Thanks! Stay safe!
@@liaquatkhan4822 You're most likely not from NYC.I've never met a New Yorker that didn't take pride on being from there. It's one of the best cities in the world.
R.I.P. dreams NY. I feel bad for ya but I kinda don't. They said don't leave your house and there is still allot of people outside. But hey what can you do. Some people just aren't inside cats I guess.
So strange to watch this from FLA.... but we are also under some sort of "shelter-in-place" mandate. Unclear what it means exactly but the beaches are closed. I think I'm allowed to go to CVS and Publix
5:27 that house from "I am Legend"
aka Grand Central Station :)
This is at once beautiful and frightening at the same time! Take care!
Looks like the normal amount of traffic you see in Liberty City playing Grand Theft Auto IV...
That's very very true, my friend! LOFL

Love the footage and the music really blends in!
Song : Sleeping At Last ( Atlantic )
That was a great video, it is unbelievable to see the streets of NYC so empty. Scenes like that really confirm the severity of the situation.
Excellent footage. You captured some really great sites of New York City.
Awesome New York City
I like watching RUclips videos of NYC city; walking through NYC. Looks so much different now.

I never been to NY, but this brings tears to my eyes. Pray for humanity.
Whatever, looks peaceful
There may be humans, but i see little humanity. Time for a global flush

This is unbelievably historic well presented and important footage. Incredible job. Thank you.

Bro, just saw your other vid! Love it! Same as before, we're looking to make a compilation. Please let me know! Thanks!
Why all the downvotes? This is very well done; could for sure use more variation in types of shots but in general this video is excellent.

This brings a tear to me because knowing what's going on in the world, it was a dream of mine of wanting to go back 😿😓 , but one day.

@Lloyd Waters dude uncool for you to discriminate a race for the mistakes of its govt. Nobody wanted this to happen. Only the greedy people does
