I have a little story, as a young pre-schooler I used to accompany my father, a Vet, on his visits to the farms. I disappeared and the farmer and my father eventually found me in a paddock with the farm's Bull who was considered rather dangerous. There was I trailing around amongst his legs, stroking his belly, chatting away to him, he understood. The adults managed to entice me to the fence, their hearts beating fast. I remembered that bull when I looked at your photo!

I want to be free! Libra sun, Aquarius moon, Leo ascendant. The great divine is helping me and guiding me on my journey, I recently started dancing and it helped me remember that I used to love to do this and all the bs from the world and poverty in a 3rd world country. I choose to be happy, to flow and bring life and growth; like the warm breeze.
When first asked to tune into the bull, I saw a lazy one in a pasture and then smelled cow patties, saw movement over green pastures and then went to the cows. The lovely lady counterparts. Their sharp earthy smell and life giving milk. There large brown eyes and hot slow breath. I saw a biodynamic farm where three cows are massaged and loved in while gently milked to share their milk with their herd-share. I used to belong to that herd-share, before moving across country, and it still thrives. I saw hands kneeding dough. When you gave the more aggressive archetypes I felt shocked and then thought, ah yes..that reminds me of the angry people in my life, myself as well at my more unbridled moments…Can’t wait to listen on and hear what you share about the more ancient archetypal associations. Wow this was amazing. Such power in looking at those images. I for one am embracing my inner Minotaur and loving that bull shadow free of the labyrinth. The Minoan pottery shows acrobats springing off bulls (maybe origins of gymnastic horse used today) this goddess culture had no weapons and no war for a very long time and acrobats were the warriors! Isn’t it a lovely metaphor to play and spring on the bull - like we spring as the acrobats of earth herself. A far cry from the subjugation of the bull that we are now leaving behind us with every breath, thought and action. Wow. Wow. Wow and holy cow!

Thank you as usual for this, Heather. I was very moved by your invitations and description around the bull. I learned about the more ancient associations of the bull especially with the divine feminine when I read The Chalice and the Blade a few years ago. It happened that as I was literally in the middle of reading that book, my younger sister recommended I watch the recent animated version of the movie Ferdinand, based on the decades-old children’s book of the same name. I hesitated, knowing I would find some things in the movie challenging for my heart. I also recognized a resonance that indicated that watching the movie was likely part of my spiritual/inner work. Indeed it was. Though it is a children’s movie, it broke my heart open in a number of ways. Juxtaposed with what I was reading in The Chalice and the Blade, the bull has remained a resonant image and being for me. (My astrological sign also happens to be Taurus.)

Beautiful spoken Heather, Were the pictures of the Bull in the Neolithic time's no bulls but cows? In Holland, we are used to taking the horns of the cows away. The horns are of themselves with fine senses,I can imagine that the horns communicate with the universe, with the Milky Way. Cattle have 4 stomachs and take their time to digest the food into divine milk. Such a large animal that is vegetarian and produces good manure. They are contemplative and curious and as they are listening and connected with another atmosphere. The HathorCow is also depicted as the Milky Way. She offers milk. So maybe the cattle pictures of the Neolithic times where female.
So Holding Space and endurance are qualities of Chariklo and she absolutely contributes to rich nourishment. The quietness and silentness of cows, their redigesting way of food into life-given qualities is just a wonder.

Every single word was a bulls eye for me. I have had a massive revelation to a profound hurt yesterday which I recognise as being ancestral . Shame, rejection, guilt, self deprecation. The wound came while pregnant with my son on my birthday. It was extremely hurtful and I had buried it for over fifty years . This was radical on so many levels and once I saw the truth I set about to forgive and release. It was such a big deal I wondered if I had done enough but your words qualified every single aspect.

I watched a documentary about the great mysteries and there was an analogy about the way words were formed. The Great Sea Bull was interpreted as the Bull 'Taurus'. The bull is a massive body (beast) and the horns were related to the snake that transformed in sheading it's skin and I do beleave that the bulls horns do shed skin as the bull grows. Now we related Taurus to the 2nd house of earning power and how aggression is a part of that energy. Bullish or a challenge. I like the nurturing aspect and how our earning power nurtures our existance to need and comfort. It seems there is always opposites to teach us until we settle into the reality we want to embody as spiritual beings. Also, the documentary 'Breaking the Science Barrier'. You can google the title and find the youtube version. It puts quantum physics down the toilet. It was very informative to the Universe creating through the electrical magnetics.

I have Pluto in Virgo 2nd house at 4 degrees and have always held an attitude of how I value everything. It makes more sense to me. Taurus 10th with Mars 24 degrees opposing my Venus. Especially when the moon or other planets transit that Mars I get challenged by others, but go to the heart to value what is going on and how to respond with the heart of superconsiousness.
