I went to Accra Ghana in April 2022. I didn't have to have a health certificate. Like you, I liked the food on the airplane. I flew Air France. I attempted to get Cedis from my bank in the US, but they weren't available. I exchanged money at the airport in Accra. I used my credit card a couple of times, the one with no transaction fees. The driver that picked us up from the airport became our personal driver. I am going back in November and staying until January.
@Mark Mensah I got my yellow fever vaccine in the US about a month before I left for Ghana. When I applied for my Ghanaian visa, my yellow fever card was attached to my passport. My doctor gave me a prescription for malaria pills. I started taking them a few days before leaving for Ghana and continued while I was in the country.
My desire is to go Next January on my 70th birthday finally! This has finally have to happen all the other plans failed. Thanks for sharing your experience this motivates me even more :D
Thank u for sharing u gave some valuable information out before people try and go the things they need to do before they can go no one talks about shots ever I have seen all these videos no one ever speaks about health stuff🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Am originally from Ghana but currently in Atlanta ,if needs help with transportation to move around can connect u with someone and even share my personal information for verifications
See what u done? Now u got to go back and bring us more videos bro!! U are such a good storyteller with ur step by step recap. Looking forward to more. Glad u had such an experience, and proud of u for going back home to where ur people originated from. Look how u could easily pass for a true Ghanaian, bro, U could easily have fooled me,,well, until u open ur mouth. Hahaha
Whoa!Thank you for all that information because I'm planning prepare for Ghana 🇬🇭 I would have been disappointed Knowing I only have a flight ticket a passport and nothing else So thank you
I didn’t have to pay anything for the travel certificate. The vaccine requirements change but currently you had to have the yellow fever shot. I also go malaria pills (which I didn’t use).
@@Travelingwes One more question. When you applied for the visa, did you have to provide proof of vaccination? Like a letter...the visa process has been a pain for me.
They won’t ask for your yellow fever card until u get to Ghana and at the airport it’s like 20 bucks to get it and it’s fast. Don’t get it here in the US and pay the $500 for your info
I’ve just come back from Ghana 🇬🇭. I stayed in Osu. I did all the tourist stuff including visiting other regions but l still don’t get all the hype. I don’t know maybe I need to go back and give it another try.
Remember, ghana is still developing nd am sure u need not travelbto all the places in ghana. . It's all about the vibe in ghana, the freedom, culture, and safety you feel when u in ghana. Tourism is still in the infant stage at the moment which means alot of potential. Even all the concerts are basically new.

Great info on the travel certificate. Did you have to pay a lot for that? Also, what about the vacinne requirements? Did you have to deal with that?

@@Travelingwes Ok, did they ask you for the yellow fever? Final question 😃
Absolutely correct, that yellow fever vaccine was so expensive l paid over $300 to get mine in NYC. I did not require a travel certificate.

The music overpowers the voice. Please turn it down
I wish there's a way to extract the background music. It's way too loud.
Next part I’ll keep that in mind.
