The soundtrack argument is debatable. Lots of people enjoy the Genesis tracks more, some find the SNES is overblown, or trying too hard to force Orchestral feelings, which doesn't always fit. However; the argument can not be made to the gameplay; the Genesis version kicks the SNES version so hard in the balls, it's not funny. Not only was the SNES version slower; but it also had loading screens constantly after each level; is missing 2 levels (The Mad Doctor Stairwell, and the Band Concert bonus level); and overall the gameplay is more difficult because of lag on the inputs. Overall; the Genesis version was the better package.
@@Kohchu you know.. I never played the genesis version. Even though I had both genesis and Snes console, only played the Snes one. And let me tell you, I think you are right! (Regarding the gameplay). I noticed recently by watching theme in yt that there's a stairs sub area in the mad doctor level of Genesis.. wtf.. And yes, the waiting before every level was just annoying.
@@ignaciosb8779 I grew up with the Sega CD version myself, which was basically just the Genesis version with better sound and a high quality soundtrack; but overall, I don't entirely know what went wrong with the SNES version. Clearly it had some kind of development issue, because the weirdness in gameplay is insanely hard to ignore. Especially after you've played the Genesis one; going to the SNES one, you'll instantly notice how much slower and less responsive the controls feel.
@@Kohchu you may be right. I noticed the among playstation, snes and genesis, only the Snes versions has certain level areas missing for example. Weird development, I agree on that.
@@ignaciosb8779 Well, in the case of the Sega CD and Playstation versions; they got bonus levels to entice people into buying them (The Sega CD version had a bonus battle with Pete, where you collect Pencils to have the different Mickeys attack him; The Playstation version also has this stage) and the Playstation version had another chase section like in Moose Hunters for the Mickey and the Beanstalk section (where you are chased by Willy the Giant, who is much faster then the moose). The Genesis and SNES versions though came out around the same time; so it's confusing why the SNES version is missing so much content. Basically: Steamboat Willie - All The Wharf - All Mad Doctor Entrance - All The Doctor's House - All Gurny Ride - All Mad Doctor Tower - Sega, Sega CD, PSX Deep Laboratory - All Elevator of Terror - All The Doctor's Lair - All Moose Hunters - All Moose Chase - All Lonesome Ghosts Entrance - All Dark Basement - All Mansion Interior - All Mickey and the Beanstalk - All The Tunnel - All The Giant Stairs - All The Band Concert - Sega, Sega CD, PSX The Giant's Buffet - All Escape from Willy - PSX Exclusive The Prince and the Pauper Entrance - All The Library - All The Dungeon - All Burning Tower - All Pete's Tower - All The Weasel Brigade - Sega CD, PSX Captain Pete - All
"Uh oh!"

Phantasm
Anyone else agree this Stage was hard?!
(Like if you do!)
Who is better
SNES or Sega genesis
Like: snes
Coment: Genesis does what ninten'dont
Genesis.
Genesis. The SNES version has NOTHING on the Genesis version. Same goes for the Toy Story game by the same company.
The Genesis version of this game is the best, period.
Genesis
Who dares to admit, snes them for this level was more nice..
