Enjoyed this video...lived in Macon, Ga 30 yrs ago. Spent many hours in the area watching the trains at all hours of the day. I remember seeing the first Roadrailer through Macon heading to Jacksonville 5:00am in the morning, several steam specials passed through here also...brings back lots of memories for me here. Thanks for a great video.
Another awesome job MB, I really liked the 5 engine consist with two SD70's (one of them a HU) and two SD 60"s and it originated in my hometown, I hate that I missed that rolling out. (side note: the train would have to head North out of Debutts Yard, barring right thru Citico Junction, at the giant "Y", then thru Brown interchange and up to Ooltewah, Tennessee to make the right turn to head down to Atlanta, left goes to Knoxville, Tennessee). Keep up the great work MB.
I love the picture of the military plane going in for a landing. Ever thought about filming landings and take-offs of jets off the runway? How far away is that military base from you? Can you see the runway? If so, I'd be there watching the jets take off and land. Very cool my friend. :)
Well, I like watching planes, but filming near airports is a somewhat daring thing, even more so if it's a military facility. Warner Robins is still several miles from where I shot the trains; one cannot see the runways from there.
I have found for me that filming on the other side of Poplar St, in the parking lot of the old train depot not fenced in is really a great spot to catch all action, but your spot is just as great too.
Yea, I know that spot, too, but in the morning it's better to film form the side I shot from because of the light and in the afternoon I actually prefer Macon Junction.
Very cool, thanks so much! It's good to know there are a lot of people out there who are honestly interested in these videos. Keep watching, there's more to come!
@@mbmars01Personally, I would like to see more flanges rolling through frogs like you used to. Otherwise, keep them coming. I don't know why your videos are so relaxing, but they are!
We see a lot of nifty stallions here. The Illinois Terminal engine was a great catch, I really like that loco. The trains are pretty long in the Macon area, it's obvious the yards in this city are busy. It's good to see a bit of variety. I'm looking forward to the second part of the series. Excellent upload, thank you for your effort. :)
Well, everything's changing quickly on NS, but I wouldn't say things have slowed down compared to last year. However, I think there are fewer trains down there than during my early visits in 2016/2017.
MBMARS You lucky skunk, I have been trying so hard to get #1072 on video but I always get skunked on the opportunity to get her. Awesome action as always, my man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -MG
Since it wasn't leading, #1072 technically doesn't count as a catch here either lol :) But it will return in future videos... Good luck, I hope you'll get your shot soon!
Man, I love your videos so much that I've started posting my own chases, but I'm super new at it and can only use my phone at the moment. I'm just curious 'cause I can only go by the train horn to know when they're coming: where do / did you get a scanner? That would be a HUGE help.
I like your videos, but I miss A749 and the other one that switches on the main I think it was A752 but not sure I prefer spur work over giant mainline trains, a lot of times you get to interact with the crew which is cool.
Super set of vids !!!!!
Thanks so much!

Got to love seeing foreign power in places not expected
Yea, but there isn't much foreign power in Macon anymore, unfortunately.

Very nice video. The sound of the EMD locomotives is amazing. Good capture!
Thanks! I'm always amazed by the variety of locomotive types one gets to see on an ordinary day in Macon. I love it!

The Illinois Terminal heritage unit will return... :) As always, thanks for your thoughtful review!
Nice video, quality content. I subscribed!
Cool, great you like it... and welcome!
So has things slowed in Macon compared to last year’s trip?

Beautifulllllll song!!
Greetings from Spain!
Thanks very much! Good you enjoyed watching the video.
Great vid! Did you hear about the NS derailment in Atlanta? I believe you've filmed at that crossing before.
Thanks! Well, it seems there's a derailment in the Atlanta area almost every week...

Thanks, I appreciate it! If I remember correctly, I ordered my scanner (Uniden BC125AT) from Amazon. The 160MHz antenna is from Smiley.

@@LiquidShadows I have the same scanner and it works very well.

Awesome! Good to know.
I love your videos but when you zoom in I fast forward. I don’t like the distortion. Thanks
Thanks! That's okay, of course, but I personally like the long shots.
I like the 5 engine lashup! They can put some power down on the tracks :) Nice mid-DPU that rolled by. Very nice day around Macon! Thank you :)
It's always fun railfanning Macon. You're welcome!
One of the first
Nice :)
Rock and roll!

Well, all types of railroad operations find their place in these videos, but watching rural switching is certainly a fun experience.
I've been watching since 15k your videos are amazing
You should do a face reveal
Awesome, great you enjoy the train shows here on this channel. Lol, I actually do appear in the "Top 60 of 2018" video (label [6J]).
Too bad some of these trains no longer run :(
Things change quickly on NS...
This video is awesome.
Thanks, Boris!
