Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. It's a shame that in this day and age the youth just openly accepts these symbols and these evil beliefs because it's popular. It's harder to reach younger people now than ever.

@@RJ2878 Yes,that’s true.I’m a child younger than 13 but I already have knowledge of lying,stealing,pornography,s*x and all that since I was in 2nd grade my classmates always talked about it so I knew about it during quarantine I started watching homosexual animations and went on from there to books of pornography and then to zodiac signs,bad music and hidden satanism basically it is indeed sad that wrong things have become good and cool in the eyes of people and that good things are considered wrong,but I know God exists and helps because when I started questioning him he led me closer to him and I do not know my duty but I hope to fulfill it please pray for my family,classmates and everyone in the world especially the children and those struggling to rid their sin.

that's why I like thrift stores. especially stores that support the homeless and churches that run them. I can get a name brand for cheap and support the thrift stores objective to help people. I don't really buy from department stores anymore because the items are usually made in China..now this. yes..thrift stores are it for me.
As someone that works for a church run non-profit that provides clothes for a local homeless shelter (and the greater underserved/homeless community at large) I agree that many things we receive are brand named and in good shape and give those that wear it (especially children) confidence. Please donate people!

I am 55 years old and until seeing the ad for this new Converse shoe was still a customer as we have an outlet mall with a Converse store in it. After seeing said ad, I took my current 4 pairs and threw them in the trash! I will NOT support their company with any future purchases and I will NOT shame GOD by wearing ANYTHING with the Converse logo ever again!

I called out a friend when we were working out him, myself and another friend who was present are believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ and when we saw him with converse he first made fun of us for wearing vans and we both told him at least we aren't wearing shoes that want to affiliate with the devil.

While the designer, Owens, might have some organization or spiritual belief system in mind when adding those symbols to Converse, his quote suggested that he sees the symbol as something other than what some might think it means. Symbols mean different things to different people, and I think that buying and wearing a shoe with a pentagram on it doesn’t have to mean that the wearer worships the devil. Like he said in his statement, he likes the geometrical pattern of the pentagram, and that could be just as true for others that purchase the shoe; they might just enjoy the shape. Regardless of the designer’s intent, the shoe is just a shoe and those that wear it are no different from anyone else. All in all, it really doesn’t matter.
This shoe is a subtle way to get people into occultic/pagan worship, you can absolutely worship Satan without realizing you do. In this day and age we live in, people are being even more deceived, especially the newer generation. The best thing we can do is spread and teach the gospel and pray that the holy spirit will work in their hearts and give them discernment and that Jesus Christ will deliver them from the darkness.

The more this happens the more I don't buy brand name garbage. Like Katherine Poindexter, I live in thrift stores. I'm making more food from scratch, breaking out my sewing box more often, doing all the things my grandmother taught me. More money to send to missions and the persecuted church.

This is shocking! Alan you said it best this country was found on morals and values of God in a Christian worldview. I feel as if we could go back to a principle of a Christian worldview we need more believers to open companies not to focus on money but to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and change the foundation in corporate America and all over.

I going to send the CEO of Converse sneakers a Bible Tract and pray for them to trust Christ as their Savior! They probably don't know and better.
So I want to start by saying I don't own any converse but my sister and girlfriend do, and I was thinking about getting some before watching this video because I thought they looked pretty cool for casual scenarios, do you think that we should boycott converse I'm totally open minded to this and I'll take your word at a yes or no dead serious. Further for my sister and girlfriend's sake if we already own converse should we get rid of them so that we don't cause people to think that it's okay for Christians to wear them?
It's a personal conviction call really, but I'll tell you that I thew away 4 pairs the other night after seeing the ad for the pentagram shoes and reading the comments by Converse. I in my own mind and heart feel that if I wear anything ( shoes, clothes, accessories,etc.) that I am saying that it's alright to wear items of theirs that don't have to do with the pentagram shoes but to me that is having a 'luke warm' worldly.attitude. I am either for GOD and will NOT support anything that is shaming Him or glorifying Satan or I am disregarding the truth of what the company represents and tarnishing my walk with Christ by choosing to ignore the blaring occultist signs behind this company's scenes.

Sadly, I think we are going to see the opposite, on more Christian businesses. Look at the bakery industry for example. Christians are being pushed out of the cultural sphere, which does include these things. Now I get we want to put our dollar where our mouth is, and I support boycotting these businesses that have social justice agendas, but how much longer is that going to be an effective option? If everyone is woke and secular, boycotting at that point won't work. So while I do support boycotting, I don't put my faith in it that itll change these companies.

At least we have a choice now. When I was in middle school in the 70s, Converse, or Chuck Taylor's as they were known, were the only high tops out there. Made of canvas, black or white being the only colors. I got a new pair every season, and in the first practice or 2, the strip of canvass on the heel that was supposed to provide support would snap off the sole.

Hey Polite Leader! I appreciate your opinion on this subject, and I agree with you on the idea of “neutral philosophy “, being that it doesn’t exist.
Anyways I remember you stating a while ago that modern Christian music wasn’t very good and I agree on that as well. While these albums are only relatively recent, I think you may find them on point message wise as well as melodically satisfying. They are: coming Up to Breathe and All That is Within Me by MercyMe, He Reigns by the Newsboys, and Lifesong by Casting Crowns. All of these bands have since released newer music but those are my favorites of their albums. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
I think as long as we are able to we should be discerning about which companies we support and continue to "vote with our wallets". I also recognize that, as you said, it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so. June was a disturbing reminder of just how many companies are jumping on the bandwagon and I think, before long, we will be unable to find many businesses willing to stand up for Christian values.
Unfortunately Converse is not alone.

Could you do a video on what your perspective of what the blasphemy of the Spirit is?
A few major teachers take different views-
For example, John Piper teaches that it is a hardened opposition against the Spirit’s work and the inability to repent.
R.C. Sproul taught that it was something you can actually say or write. And also that Christians are capable of it.
And of course, many take the view that this is just rejection of Christ until death.
Could it be committed in your thoughts?
It’s all very confusing because of the so many different views, and I’ll admit it’s quite troubling for me.

We bought converse because we were poor and they used to be really cheap and they were great for skating and such and then they got trendy and really expensive and I didn't want to be different like everybody else so I quit buying them. Plus they really aren't that great a shoe.

@@mckayla6668 tattoo removal is very expensive. I have 2 little ones and a stay at home mom I provide for. No food stamps or hand outs. And .....I started late in the game so to speak. So I'm a little behind. But I'm not complaining. My children are healthy and happy. We have a roof and a full fridge and I have a decent job. GOD is good.
