Oh 9Ondrea, I already learned by listening to JIm Rohn there is no success without faillure along the road :-) I have plenty more faillure stories but the only one that is of any use to ou guys is the one that shows the road from faillure to success.... :-) Or at least what I consider success :-)

It will mean burning that midnight oil though gorgeous :-) Been doing that for the last year and a half. the 3 days I do not work I bead,bead, bead :-) I hardly watch tv, I don't even run anymore (but I plan to soon start that again as soon as autumn comes cause re-starting in summer is un-do-able :-) I do have to say I have a very suportve hubby and no kids to take care of though :-)

I always figured my black and white vision and my stubborness were my best trades although many disagreed. I refuse to lie, kiss butt, put fragrance to my words. And in my whole 20 year working life I only had one boss that told me he respected the fact I talked straight to him and didn't gossip behind his back while smilin in his face. I'm still in touch with him. If he ever does recruit me for anything I will blindly follow him cause with my stubborness also comes my unshakable loyalty :-)
no I disagree, it's a craft anyone can learn, now the latent lays more in me having a bigger imagination than the next lady for instance, but anyone can learn how to bead... I'm proving that with every video I make that people can also do this :-) However designing patterns yes I think that can be called a talent :-) Maybe on day Sundragon, there will be a video you might not be able to resist and buy that needle, the beads and thread and get hooked also ;-)
Hi Gold, I always reply my commenst (as long as I still can and it won't take time away from my beading :-) But here is the honest truth... to get ahead in life you may have to sacrefice some things, tv for instance is one of them, and I haven't run for the last year and a half (which is bad I know I need to get back to taking care of my health) but if you are focussed, willing, and for the most part able and you wo't let anyone stop you anyone can get ahead of them bills like I did :-)
LOL it took me to places people only dared to dream of as well as in trouble more than I can count ;-) But I think stuborness goes hand in hand with not giving up, not letting anyone talk you down or out of trying something, and most of all stubornes will eventually get you where you want to go. There is nothing stronger than the human will. Anyone who says "I'll do it or die trying" is bound to succeed along the way sooner or later :-)
Well if you hubby sees Scott somewhere around christmas tell him to say hi from me. I know he always goes home for christmas :-) I agree, Scott doesn't go around kissing fans often, only twice I saw him do that due to the ladies being in tears :-) I guess all things happen for a reason. Like you tuning in on the lazy bezel. I hope you'll stay and try it. :-) I enjoy the company of all them ladies here (and the gentlemen to f course :-)
Oh I blur and go off camera sometimes. :-) But I'm using a photo camera. it's the canon SX30 IS. I'm saving up to get a real camera. Most adjusting gets done (if possible) with my video editing tool. I use pinnacle 14. My camera is on a tripod above my hands. I rotate the footage when I'm done taping and adjust brightness and contrast a lot if it tapes too dark which is mainly when it is dark outside. I try to avoid taping at night with light as much as possible :-)
You go Jennifer, I have a lot of beaders srtuggeling with illness and disbilties on my channel and I'm so happy it's helping them in whatever way it is helping them. I'm glad you are making money. :-) That's what mine are here for and I hope you will grow a business of your own one day. As to having so much to learn, OMG there is no end to wha I still have to learn... I doubt there will ever be for anyone who is eager to learn :-)
No I'm not that tough, but thank God for giving me a brain, some survivor instincts and the willpower to turn my life around. I know what you mean, but to overperfectionise might mean it will never get finished cause it can always be done better. I learned to just sell it when I'm happy, and when in time I can do better I will just do another one... and if in time I can do better again... another one... :-) That seems to work well for me :-)
Yup I know what you mean. There are two ladies that bought a 5 euro pendant from me about 4 years ago and every summer they come tell me they still have it, wear it almost every day and it's still good. In those 4 years I replaced the suede cord 1x cause that wore out after 2 years. And even it it only costed 5 euro's it's great to know someone is so pleased they come back to tell you every year they still have it and it's still in one piece :-) what to charge.. that would be for the next vid

if you have talent for beading Natalie, you will never have to go hungry :-) You go girl, make it a job and you will have a job again. I'm still adjusting my mind that this is no longer just a hobby although it still feels that way and I hope it always does, but it really is a job if it's going to be supporting me financially, and if I can do it, so can you :-)
thanks bead brain, I got lots of people that tried to help me out in english, i even had teachers that tried to give me extra dutch lessons, some things just won't glue on in to my brain, the "than"and "then" is the biggest problem, so next best thing is just trying to avoid both... got me through life so far LOL I'm not going to worry about it anymore... :-)
Sara, you go girl, sounds like you fully understand the part "to take it as far as you as it will go", beading will take you as far as it can go, that's why I started teaching myself macrame and soutache to find myself a new horizon and see how far that one will be going. :-) No doubt you will also in time find something else to do that is beading connected. :-)
you can't make a capricho without making the neeted part and fitting it over the knockles for the buyer. You have to know if that fits. You can't take a wrist size and hope for the best. Unless you sell you can make several and just see which one will fit, Yup I would make all different sizes for a yard sale. :-)
you're welcome Shailaja. I guess my honesty in the business pays off more in jewelery as oposed to my job where my boss rather has me lie through my teeth, kiss booty and say yes to everything I disagree with... LOL :-) I love jewelery... I can just be myself :-)
Yeah sometimes there is a little adjusting along the way but in the end I plan to reach what I set out to do. I think life can be fun as well as miserable but in the end you want to try and get all out of life that you could. For this one needs to set goals... That much I did figure out :-)
Yup been there but people I guess don't take beading serious...It's obviously "just a hobby", not a job, assuming you must be unemployed, how can you not have time right? :-) When at a fair for 6 hours, and I'm not to busy I can tend to needs, during the rest of the week I can not.
Thanks Luvflower, I hope people will understand that if I can do it, so can they if they really want to. Tools are already there for them all over the web with tutorials and material available. All you need is a goal in mind and the long breath to take you there :-)
yeah fishing line is just fine. Have a look in a local fishing store, I got me some fireline there not too long ago myself :-) The beading brand of 0.25mm is called Knorr pandrell. They have an online site also. Give them a google if you can't find the right nylon "fishing" line :-)
oh lol I just commented on the other comment to check this vid :-) I guess you got everything it takes to pass the finish line of this "marathon" crisis :-) You got to be smart yes, and a bit different to I guess. I guess my strength is being that perfectionist :-)
I tried watching one of Kelly's with subtitles, somwhere it said she threw a needle in a theecup or something accoring to the caption subtitles. Unless they are put in manually by the youtubers (which takes a lot of work) youtube captions translations make no sense.
You're story is even more simulair to Jennifer's (check out the comment on this channel below you by Jennifer Roberts) You go girl, don't give up cause there is something more possible than just "end meet". I'm proof of that. ;-) And as i say if I can do it, so can anyone else. :-)

I just love those ahah moment. I get them again now with soutache and macrame. I really missed them. There is nothing like that "aha"victory feeling when you bead :-) except maybe the person that will come to you and say : "Love it, will you make me one" :-) Or your very first sale :-)
Yup. simpel secret of succes, get fed up, grab you talent, do your research, put talent to use and don't give up even if the going gets tough :-) Geez..., now I will have the song stuck in my head all day :-)
Yes, you are right, every acchivement every goal you reach gives you more confidence you are able to reach the next goal you set for yourself :-) I'm not that mazing, I just had it with not being able to pay bills lol :-)

I buy on ebay. If you type in "full pack swarovski" you will see a seller called "HKasiamall" he sells loose beads too, but that's the fastest way to find him, his stuff is the real stuff :-)
you go girl!!! Don't let anything stop you, set your mind to make it work and work hard to get your mind and your efforts to the same place and you will be able to do this, just like I am doing this.
I've gone beyond hoping in my mind lovie, I've passed the point where I cross my fingers and hope for the best. I'm going to work so very hard to accomplish my goal and think "do or die" :-))))

Thank you so much for this video. It may be 9 years old, but it still applies today for me. I needed to see this video. I am starting over. The Most High God in Christ started shifting things in my life a month ago. I found your videos around the same time. It was for a reason. We have some of the same stops in our jewelry to becoming a jewelry designer and teacher. I have been designing art for approximately 20 years. Many obstacles in my way. Things started shifting three, and half years ago when my dad passed away. I started fasting and pray about my happiness for six weeks. Then, I started a journey that brought me a lot of clarity and eventually freedom. I am using my gifts and talents again to take care of myself. My confidence recently level was really low. I keep being nudged to watch more of your videos. I have been binge watching them. I get to this one, and my prayers have been answered. I know what I must do now. I just finished watching your video of how you got started. Yes, you are a go-getter for sure. Hard work and reasonable goals are what we need to move ahead in life. I do know that you have to be focused on what you want to do and don't get side tracked by unimportant things. I am very happy for you that you are ahead at this time and I really love your instructions on the pieces that you make. You don't go rushing with the project as some tend to do. And your soft voice is soothing to hear as you show and instruct how to do it. So thank you so much that you put so much into your beading. I always say, "If you can't do it right, the first time, just keep on trying and you will get it". Thank again and don't stop the video's!!!!!!!

Amazing story - I sell jewelry (not mine) on ebay and I started much like you for the same reasons - an economic disaster - I spent my last (very last) $100 on cheap $1 shell jewelry and sold it on ebay for $10 each - sold every piece - took that money and bought more expensive pieces - when times are tough you gotta be tougher and smarter - I am truly INSPIRED by you
