Hey man, i just recently found out about youre channel, and man, youre a monster at this game. Generations is my fav sonic game, and i was trying speedruning it myself, and youre channel has been a blessing to watch. Just a question, at 1:05 ive seen you do a stomp on the button to not fall of the stage, as youre using the 3D in 2D glitch, but you just go around it this time; is it better to do this than the stomp? Again, youre videos, the editing, the runs, everything is exceptional, im excited to see what youre going to do with Shadow Gens!
Thanks dude, glad you like what you’ve seen! As for that 3D in 2D, landing a stomp on that switch is the safer way to avoid flying out of bounds. If you air boost behind the wall sooner then you can land a jump with the momentum, the timing is pretty strict but it’s slightly faster
I always thought this stage was better ran on PC due to factors like the increased jump height that comes with the fps boost. With the only problem being not being able to easily jump off the rail at 0:48. Insane run though!
For sure the PC jump boost is helpful, but the rest of those rail bugs make this stage less painful to run on console from my experience;; much respect to anyone running this on PC nonetheless. Thanks btw^^
When you're on the quickstep section before the 2D section, if you jump at a certain point before the rail, you still have 3D movement in the 2D section. So you can just jump and go around the boxes blocking the path and continue as normal.
On this route the first warp point doesn’t send Sonic as high as it does on console, and there are rails that Sonic has a hard time landing on correctly- makes this stage way more inconsistent from my experience on PC
