The Catholics did. The Protestants who were anti catholic since they split through Luther.s so-called Reformation, hoped the catholics to be wiped out. Either not thinking that they themselves would be wiped out too ,in the end. It was scandalous and proof of something very sinister. If the battle of Lepanto would have been lost , Europe would have been islamic .
The first period is a "false" peaceful period. It was a strategy to get people on his side. He was in the minority and would have been wiped away if he was not peaceful. Nobody wanted to follow him anyway so he left . Then the next strategic phase started.
@@supershmobo could be , we don't know but anywhere else he would have been wiped away UNLESS he would force the people to follow him. That is what he did and that he how he progressed until today. People are beheaded and persecuted if they even say something bad about him. This proves that the "religion" is NOT peaceful.
Thanks for this perspective, Tim and Nick. Where to begin... My entry into emergency services and management is so closely connected to this historic event. The friendships I have formed with so many of the first responders who were there and were given an impossible task to perform. The stair climbs we participate in to bring our fallen brothers "to the top floor" and to comfort their dear ones. So much to say... Yet, this is all in the realm of natural virtue. What REALLY matters is that we make it to the top floor at the end of a life lived for God and for Neighbor for God's sake. There isn't any acceptable parallel track, so when we look at social and political constructs that are not catholic... Anyway, please remember the Fallen to God.
You guys are still using outdated Orientalist critiques of Al Ghazali which have been thoroughly refuted in the academic literature and even on a popular apologetic level, saying "Mohammedan", misunderstanding Seerah, trying to use the old Mecca-Medina dichotomy, completely misrepresented Atharism, and misrepresented the occasionalist view within Islam (which has nothing to do with scientific progress.) Come on guys, you gotta do better than this. Associating the Saudi state with 9/11 might make sense on some broad level, but they disowned Bin Laden and are on a secular liberal path nowadays. But the critique of the absolutely absurd attempt to impose liberalism on the Muslim world by the Western powers was exactly correct.
Hello Anon. I’ve cited my sources. You can read my book for all my academic evidence for my claims. The term “Muhammadan” is the most accurate term. “Muslim” is a misleading term, like calling Lutherans “Catholics.” TSF
The Christians also defeated the Mohammedans in the battle of Lepanto!

I’m a Christendom student and I’m gonna try and make it to that talk. My ancestors are Anglos from Maryland.

I think you are leaving that they attempted to wipe him out anyways.

A month long retreat? Must be nice.

Great stuff Gentlemen. Yes, please bring on Robert Spencer!
Tim do you think Britain/England will return to Catholicism within this century?
I don’t expect it, but all things are possible!
How come the date of the siege of Vienna is recorded as the 12 of Sept, 1683?
The Muhammadans breached the walls on 9/11, but the calvary charge stopped them on 9/11. Their retreat was on 9/12.

What's the problem with saying "Mohammedan"?
@@alyosha119, What's the problem with saying "papist"?
