The Norwegians produced roughly the same, and have over £3.5 trillion banked. Aberdeen got a free car park for its hospital as a gift from a tycoon, but Scotland got nothing. So how much has the Brit Est robbed and placed in their tax havens? Some reckon around 10-12 trillion. These same people label the Scots as spongers after taking all that. Norway has the right idea, there are not many nations like Norway who used their oil wealth correctly to benefit their nation. I worked in Norway and it was an eye opener in the extreme. Their biggest problem is they now have too much money.
The difference is nationalization. In Norway the profits go to the government. In Britain it goes to shareholders. Surely that wealth has trickled down by now /s.
