I'm a current USC student, and next year, Pete Carol will be teaching a class at USC. Maybe USC should use him AS A COACH, as he might bring us back to the days when USC was amazing.
His USC teams were all time legendary, that 2006 team was the team that got me into CFB, everyone talks about Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush but those defenses were physical
Pete Carroll's teams were better than Saban's. He was simply the last coach to keep the top California recruits on the West Coast. If California keeps their players on the West Coast, the Pac 10(12) was the best conference in the country.
Pete invested his personal time in LA. One example was his gang counseling sessions that probably saved peoples lives. Everyone supported SC in those days. This was done even with running a high-profile college winning program. What has Lincoln R done in LA outside of the average college program he has? The difference is beyond the obvious. Pete picked out people to do things the way he wanted them done. Pete couldn't be everywhere at once. Lincoln thinks he can do everything himself. National Champions vs 6-6. Building from within. See the difference.
If SC’s dynasty came only a few years later, they probably would have won 5 national championships. Many years they would only lose one game a season and it would keep them out of the natty
@ oh agreed 100% I even think if it came in the playoff era with 4 teams they would have went to the title game at least 2-3 more times. With the 12 teams i think it would have been like 8 times
Yes, but college teams in history. There's no question. If you were able to stage a playoff with Pete Carroll's best SC team, Miami's best, Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, tOSU, and Michigan. SC takes it every time.
@@Evenflow-us1py I mean the best teams those schools have fielded. Would probably have to include way more teams but I think probably the 2004 Trojans were the best college team ever. e.g. If you did a playoff with 2001 Miami, 1995 Nebraska, 2004 USC, and 2017 Alabama, I think SC wins every time.
With recruiting draws such as "weed" and "bitches" Caroll was virtually unstoppable until players started realizing they were getting drafted... Pete Carroll literally ran a pot farm recruiting circus, welcome to Cali 😆 where he brought the same philosophy to Seattle!!
Lincoln Riley needs to take a page out of Pete Carrolls book and put a recruiting fence around california, Pete knew how to recruit west coast kids. Riley on the other hand recruits the south harder than he does the west coast smh
USC finished in the top 4, for 7 years in a row! If the 4 team playoff would have begun in the 2000’s USC would have won it least 4 to 5 Natty’s in the 2000’s!! Alabamas dynasty would have not begun until later in the 2010’s and would have added to USC’s Natty titles and lowered the # of Alabamas Natty’s
Pete Carroll took USC to 7-straight BCS appearances 6-1, with 2-national titles, & 3-Heisman winners, hell of a resume.
4-0 vs SEC, 2-0 vs Michigan, 2-0 vs Ohio State. 10-1 vs Top 10.
he had three heisman winners at USC...are we just forgetting Carson Palmer was a thing in 2002?
My bad. 😂😁
Thank you 🙌 Carson deserves his flowers!!

They need to bring him back and replace Riley.
R.I.P. Joe McKnight
3 Heisman winners
People forget about Carson Palmer

I hate usc, but I’ll be honest when Pete was there it was insane! They were a dominate team
The OG GOAT head coach of the BCS era. All hail Pete!
He was pretty good! I wonder if he would have been better than Nick Saban if he stayed longer
Can't unhear Matt leonard or Pete Carrel

Bingo!!! Pete Carroll teams were better than Nick Saban teams!!!

USC Oregon etc in the big 10 is just weird it doesn’t feel right without the PAC anymore
With Bill Belichick going to UNC, the stars are lining up for Pete to make a return to USC.
he’s publicly said multiple times that he is not interested in taking the job
@ Bill changes the landscape. Bill changes College football
@@Evenflow-us1pyFalse, per the War Room if something would to go wrong with Riley he would be interested as returning to be the head coach at USC.
@@ScumLxrd1993 he’s almost 74, being a head coach is extremely stressful ..I highly doubt that will happen
@@Evenflow-us1py Yet here he is throwing his hat in the bag regarding the Bears vacant coaching position lol
The good ol days when we would be upset about another rose bowl trophy because we didn’t make the BCS championship.
How do we get back 😢
Give Riley some time, recruiting is getting better year by year, NIL is starting to come through, and the culture is almost done being set.
Money.
@@theeoctaroon7622They need to double Riley’s salary

I agree, if the new Playoff bracket existed back then they would easily have 5-6 Natty’s.

He needs to come back and let Riley go.
If that USC team played in the current playoff era, they would've won at least 2 more titles.
Nice vid!
If the CFP was established with NIL in the 2000s, USC football would have dominated with 9 straight Nattys

Need coach Caroll back
I think USC might pull a Coach Frost, since UCF is getting their old coach back
Pete Carroll’s USC’s teams would’ve destroyed Lincoln Riley’s USC teams. ✌️❤💛🏈💯
winning seasons or losing seasons potential nfl talent will always come to usc
That's right! Those west coast kids know how to ball.

That’s a great point! I think he needs to be more aggressive with that.
3 Heismans
I’m 32 years old, I only remember the Reggie bush days. They haven’t done anything since then
I even remember watching reggie bush when I was 6 years old. Everyone knew how good USC was. They will be missed
Rosebowl win against Penn St. in 2017 has been the closest since
Y'all need urban Meyer he could rain on that platform

That is a really interesting point. I never thought of that but ya! USC could have totally done damage in the 4 team CFP's.
USC went several years with 1 or 2 losses that knocked them out the BCS national championship games. I agree USC could have about 5-6 to their 11x
Oh, so, Pete Carroll was Coach Prime for college football before Coach Prime 🤔. Makes sense 🤷.
You don’t know how to pronounce the player names. Thumbs down.
