Hi Everyone. This Add Was Recorded At The Flagship Store In Luton. And Also I Appeared In, The Lad On The Computer. Remember Seeing A lot Of Famous People There. Still Remember It To This Day:)
And no one will ever take that away from you.. keep remembering my friend those were the days and you are forever immortalized in that commercial now for ever until the end of the earth. Even if it looks like crap compared to nowadays.
Blimmey, after all these years thanks for finding this. I was the lad with the speak&spell. Filmed in luton arndale centre at the countries biggest store.I only rememebered bits of this ad. Cant remember meeting those famous stars.
0:43 - 0:53 ... I take it that Woolworth's didn't sell bras then?? The bloke singing is Joe Brown. He was performing where I worked once and he requested some sandwiches, I made them. I didn't get to present them personally, some lackey took them off me. I'll take that disappointment to my grave.
Daley Thompson, Geoff Capes, Joe Brown, Eric Bristow, Peter Powell on cymballs, Dave Lee Travis playing the trombone, is that Leslie Crowther at the popcorn machine? who else can you name?
Look at the price of Quality Street in 1983: £4.99 for 3lbs. Bought a 1kg tin (2.2lbs) for £5 at Asda this Xmas. Amazing how the price has held in 28 years.

My local Woolies never stocked Vetrex!
Capes walking alongside Joe Brown like his minder. Love it.
They sold some good stuff
Quite deer for them Cassettes! But Sony and EMI Were good!
I think it's Peter Powell at 16secs, maybe wrong.
Sounds like Ian Dury
It's Joe Brown mate!
They spelt centre wrong! They put center
Center in American English, but British Englishr centre
Most woolies shops became Poundlands.
Bruce or Carpetright
Eric Bristow must have been the lowest paid personality to have appeared on these Woolies Christmas ads.
I personally was glad they made more of his exemplary career in darts than his bad tweets when he died.
Creepy bear at 0:13
that’s the POTUS off duty... have some respect.
