    Hi Everyone. This Add Was Recorded At The Flagship Store In Luton. And Also I Appeared In, The Lad On The Computer. Remember Seeing A lot Of Famous People There. Still Remember It To This Day:)

      And no one will ever take that away from you.. keep remembering my friend those were the days and you are forever immortalized in that commercial now for ever until the end of the earth. Even if it looks like crap compared to nowadays.

      Woolworths in Luton ! - I guess it eventually got upgraded to a Poundland Store.

    poor old woollies! my nana worked at the woollies in Worthing in the early seventies she worked on the till at about 1973

    Blimmey,after all these years thanks for finding this. I was the lad with the speak&spell. Filmed in luton arndale centre at the countries biggest store.I only rememebered bits of this ad. Cant remember meeting those famous stars.

    The bloke singing is Joe Brown. He was performing where I worked once and he requested some sandwiches, I made them. I didn't get to present them personally, some lackey took them off me. I'll take that disappointment to my grave.

    Look at the price of Quality Street in 1983: £4.99 for 3lbs. Bought a 1kg tin (2.2lbs) for £5 at Asda this Xmas. Amazing how the price has held in 28 years.
