Don't feel bad about crying! My aunt fosters dogs, and no matter what when she finds a dog a new home she sobs when dropping it off. You do it because you know they're doing better things You cry because you wish you could stay with them.
I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to part from animals that you have bonded with and poured so much love into. It's so evident that you love the animals and truly want the best for them. Thank you for loving them and for working so hard❤
Jessi, it's okay to cry. They're not exactly pets, and not exactly children, but they have been a part of your life and you have cared for them / nurtured them. I'm surely not the only one who would be interested in a quick follow-up in a future video. Doesn't need to be the whole video -Just a simple update, whether they arrived okay, how they are faring in their new homes, how well Dundee gets along with his new mate. DFTBA
Aww Jessi watching this I just wanna give you a hug...saying goodbye to four-legged friends is always so hard even when you know they're going to a good home...no one can doubt how much you and Augusto care about your animals that you do what's best for them and their species even if it's a little heartbreaking for you...you should do an update on how the bettongs are doing in their new homes!
Aww, this one made me cry! I can tell how much you care about the bettongs. I'm glad you found good placements for these guys :) Keep up the awesome work, Jessi!
Please, if and when you can, update us on their progress. This was very touching, your attachment to them very clear, and I'm sure you want to know 'what happened next...' even more than we do :)
I nearly teared up at the end there. After all the hard work and effort you put into caring for those wonderful animals, to have to say goodbye was incredibly difficult. It was, however, the kindest and wisest thing to do. I'm glad you are able to rescue so many animals and care for them, your work is inspiring and your videos always make me smile.
Aww, I know it was the right decision, but that was so sad. I know it must have been really hard saying goodbye. I hope they're doing well and are very happy!
I admire how much love and dedication Jessi and Augusto give to their animals. Saying goodbye is always hard but Jessi and Augusto knew that this was the best decision for the future of the Bettong; and that takes some selflessness. Keep up the utterly great work Animal Wonders!
Awww I am glad you found good homes for all three of them, and we can tell you take such good care of them because you are willing to do what is right for them over what you might personally want. I was just curious what happened to the colony you mentioned? Must have been very sad :(
Oh man, this was sad -in a happy/uplifting sad kinda way- I hope you will have a chance to do an update video, your heart and soul are so kind and loving Jessie. It is so hard to let animals go that you've emotionally bonded with and devoted time/love/energy to- you are stronger than I probably would've been- once I start crying I usually can't hold the tears back to talk about all the feels! DFTBA
Nichole Albers That's a Google+ commenting feature. Put a minus sign on either side of -some text- and it'll do that. You can also _italic_ with a underline character on each end, or *bold* with asterisks.
I started crying right away at the 3AM part, not because I was particularly sad about it, but you can tell how hard it is for the two of you to let them go.
I started tearing up at the end. I'm so glad that animals have a safe and loving home with you. It's easy to tell that you have their best interests at heart. Thank you, Jessi and the Animal Wonders team!
I think the love you have for the animals is a strength, and with it comes the sadness of parting. It's quite beautiful and a bit sad... but mostly beautiful.
I love/hate re homing and releasing animals in care. It's difficult, but necessary, to let go of something you've been putting so much time and care into. I'm surprised and delighted that you guys are involved in caring and breeding Australian wildlife. Really loving your work.
Aww this made me tear up! It's so beautiful to see the connection you develop with those animals, keep up the amazing work! Also, if you can, update us on how they are doing in their new homes!
Thank you, this was very interesting. Brings me back to the good old days of watching that one show where a british animal rescue facility would tell stories about the animals that come in and keep you informed on them. (that might be cool to do; making an update video once in a while on animals with an interesting story/illnes/pregnancy, that kind of stuff)
I would love to see an update on how the bettongs are doing! If one is already posted, I'm sorry, I haven't come across it yet! All my best wishes for you and your animals!
Great video. I'm really loving this channel and watch every video. I really appreciate your mission and the obvious respect and love you have for all of your animals. Letting go is tough!
The wild brain, that does not snuggle up to humans, adjusts to new caretakers better than one that would pine for you, *and* the Meta happy of doing the best thing for the species should warm your heart a lot. Huggs, Good work, Smile!
That was so sad! You can't post something like this after a TFIOS screening :'( But please do an update video so we know all the three of them are doing!
Aww, good thoughts to you both! I hope there'll be a follow-up video once the bettongs have gotten settled into their new homes. Also, I'm curious about them carrying all that paper with their tails. Is it a nesting behaviour or just something they do for fun?
I like that we're on a roll with super cute animals - the bettong's were almost as cute as the Patagonian Cavi! I don't know how well I'd handle saying goodbye to them :/
well I hope the transfer went well and the destination locations are as fantastic as you hoped them to be. Have you kept in contact and have received progress reports and pictures? How are or were they doing?
I'm Australian and I'd never heard of Bettongs before. I looked them up to see all types of bettong are almost entirely exist on the mainland. Australian education seems to have given up on them entirely :(
Just so you will know, the abbreviation "am" always refers to the morning hours. These am hours include 12:00 midnight (am) until 12:00 noon (pm) all across earth. I thought you'd like this information.
Hey Jessi, could you perhaps get the guys who take them in make a video of them at their new place? It would be awesome to see if everything is ok with them.
What happened in the colony loss? I don't get that. Did the facility do something wrong to cause a whole colony to go down. And if so then why would you give them yours? Love your vids.
watts300 This is fairly common with endangered species; as their numbers get really low the remaining ones have very low biodiversity and are very susceptible to disease. If one gets sick; its likely the others will get it too.
I love the grips they have on the paper with their little tails.
Don't feel bad about crying!

Sweet animals and a sweet girl, I like how she's very passionate about what she does. Subscribed.

This brought me to tears and is proof that you think more of the animal's welfare than your own needs. You guys are good caretakers.
also, did Caitlin really get up and come over to shoot a 3:00? dedication.
Caitlin really did come at 3am. She's pretty much all of the awesome.

The bettongs are so cute. I'm glad you're getting them to facilities where they will be happy.

Thanks for making a great video about a hard topic.
Aww, I know it was the right decision, but that was so sad. I know it must have been really hard saying goodbye. I hope they're doing well and are very happy!
Aww, saying goodbye is tough :(
Side note - I love this channel. Keep up the good work, Jessi!
Aww, this one had me crying. Great episode!

Wonderful video, Jessi. :) It's so incredible to learn about new animals and see how passionate you are about taking care of them.
You can feel the love, man!! You guys blow my mind.
Yea 100%
Awww I am glad you found good homes for all three of them, and we can tell you take such good care of them because you are willing to do what is right for them over what you might personally want. I was just curious what happened to the colony you mentioned? Must have been very sad :(
pantsrevolutions four. There is a baby in the pouch
It's good to know that they're going to good homes. Thanks for sharing that with us!
You both did the right thing. Hoping they all have a fantastic experience in their new homes.

I'm not sure how I managed to draw a line though that section of text, I didn't mean to do that, it was a happy-sad! :)
Nichole Albers That's a Google+ commenting feature. Put a minus sign on either side of -some text- and it'll do that. You can also _italic_ with a underline character on each end, or *bold* with asterisks.
Thank you for the information :)
Fracture I -need- to _try_ this *right* now!
Fracture Whoa!! Thank you :)
You have a wonderful natural way with animals.
Thank god for people like you.
Your face is incredibly expressive. That's what I noticed most in this video.
I really enjoyed this video! Please continue making videos about the day to day tasks/occurrences that come up!
I started crying right away at the 3AM part, not because I was particularly sad about it, but you can tell how hard it is for the two of you to let them go.
I'm so impressed with your gentle hand and gentle heart with your animals. Thank you for sharing.
I started tearing up at the end. I'm so glad that animals have a safe and loving home with you. It's easy to tell that you have their best interests at heart. Thank you, Jessi and the Animal Wonders team!
Jessie, I'm so sad to see them go. The sadness in your face is clear. It just shows how much you love animals
This was awesome of you to do, and I hope the Bettong's enjoy their new home, and breed well :)
I think the love you have for the animals is a strength, and with it comes the sadness of parting. It's quite beautiful and a bit sad... but mostly beautiful.

I really liked this video. Thanks for sharing this with us!
It's great to see that you love your animals while still understanding that they're naturally animals and you need to make the right choice.
Aww this made me tear up! It's so beautiful to see the connection you develop with those animals, keep up the amazing work! Also, if you can, update us on how they are doing in their new homes!
Great video. Nice production.
And Jessi still looks adorable at 3:00 in the morning. So did the bettongs. :)
I hope the new homes send you updates. It makes the transition easier.
Yeah, I'm hoping for for an update too... for all of us.
Awww :( great video! Good luck to them!
This demands a Bettong Update in the future. Please!
Do all your animals get along with each other? What you do is wonderful!
ohh boy this made me cry
Being an Australian and seeing this video and past bettong video made me cry so hard just thanks you
+Beverley Hull (ladybeava) Calm down.Use grammar"thanks you"?
+Parrot crazy Let me take a moment here to give you the stink eye for turning a nice sentiment into an opportunity to be hoity toity.
AcentricOm Thanks you.
+Cynthia He thanks you very muchly
AcentricOm Damn, that is one long paragraph that I'm not gonna read.
This video was so sad that I cried a little. But you did the right thing. Maybe one day you'll be able to visit them.
I love the opening animation!
I would love to see an update on how the bettongs are doing!
If one is already posted, I'm sorry, I haven't come across it yet! All my best wishes for you and your animals!
Great video. Thank you for both your hard work and your sharing of these videos. Bravo!
Awww, a hard decision for sure! But it totally makes sense.
I cried with you at the end. :(
Animals are just wonderful.
Very touching episode!
Watching this after coming home from seeing TFIOS was probably not a good idea. Pass the tissues!
TFIOS ?
@@enkiimuto1041 The fault in our stars, a john green book. They work with him.
It fills this one with mixed emotions. Glad they have a new home, sad they had to leave the Animal Wonders family.
Great video. I'm really loving this channel and watch every video. I really appreciate your mission and the obvious respect and love you have for all of your animals. Letting go is tough!
Aww it's really sad to see them go but I bet they'll love their new adventures.
The wild brain, that does not snuggle up to humans, adjusts to new caretakers better than one that would pine for you, *and* the Meta happy of doing the best thing for the species should warm your heart a lot. Huggs, Good work, Smile!
I am glad that they get to go to new homes, now they can tell all their new animal friends about how awesome Animal Wonders is :D
Good work from good people. It's all good.
They are so cute. Those cute little hops and their neat tails.
Cool critter, Thank you. Please let us know in time how there new home turns out, you guy's are true caring soul's PEACE...
Did they arrive safely? Did you get an update on how they're doing?
That was so sad! You can't post something like this after a TFIOS screening :'(
But please do an update video so we know all the three of them are doing!
Great video. Props for the camerawork too.
You're so much better than animal planet.
Aww, good thoughts to you both! I hope there'll be a follow-up video once the bettongs have gotten settled into their new homes.
Also, I'm curious about them carrying all that paper with their tails. Is it a nesting behaviour or just something they do for fun?
Yes it is a nesting behavior
Thank you for doing stuff like this! How are they actually transported in the plane? Is it a specialized plane or are they in the cargo area? DFTBA :)
They fly in a temperature controlled cargo area.
No matter what they are always your babies!!!!
Good on you. Staying focused comes with hard choices.
What about Sydney, did you guys keep her?
Great episode :-)
I hope they like their new home
i really like this :D
I like that we're on a roll with super cute animals - the bettong's were almost as cute as the Patagonian Cavi! I don't know how well I'd handle saying goodbye to them :/
Like a mama saying goodbye to her babies! I think it was the best decision for all parties concerned.
well I hope the transfer went well and the destination locations are as fantastic as you hoped them to be. Have you kept in contact and have received progress reports and pictures? How are or were they doing?
Jesse is the cutest in all these videos ~~
When you were handling the bettong with a joey
Joey:WTF IS HAPPENING?! TTTTTHIS IIIIIS SOOOOO SHAKEY!!!
I'm Australian and I'd never heard of Bettongs before. I looked them up to see all types of bettong are almost entirely exist on the mainland. Australian education seems to have given up on them entirely :(
I would have loved to see a short clip of the bettongs arriving at their new homes, but I'm sure they're happy there.
My god. It can hold paper with its little tail...
What can someone do to help animals and conservation locally?
Just so you will know, the abbreviation "am" always refers to the morning hours. These am hours include 12:00 midnight (am) until 12:00 noon (pm) all across earth. I thought you'd like this information.
Oh geez...she knows that. People just say 3 am...in the morning when they are emphasizing how incredibly early it is. No need to be so stuffy.
Don't cry…don't cry…don't cry…don't cry…*sobbing*
Can we get links to the places they went?
You guys are amazing....what happened to the colony that was lost?
One of their bettongs was sick and spread it to the rest of them. Very sad, but not the zoo's fault.
The work you do is so important - thank you.
Cute
IS THAT A MINIATURE KANGAROO??????? THAT IS JUST SO F**KING ADORABLE!!! :D
At 3:00 I couldn't recognise you!
You looked super tired,if I were you I would've gone to bed early!
Obnoxious pineapple guy 21 Jeffrey ur name is so unique
Thats sad you had to give them away, they are so adorable, and fast o.O, at least their going to good places to continue their species lol
Please share the names of the facilities, possible visits from your viewers...like me!
Good video but pls consider turning off the autofocus. ty for considering
please post an update re: their status. safely arrived. happy in new place. etc... thanx. :)
They'll be fine :)
They are so cute, i'd never heard of them. What is their lifespan like?
Hey Jessi, could you perhaps get the guys who take them in make a video of them at their new place? It would be awesome to see if everything is ok with them.
What happened in the colony loss? I don't get that. Did the facility do something wrong to cause a whole colony to go down. And if so then why would you give them yours? Love your vids.
Some one else asked in another comment. Jessi/Augusto replied saying there was an illness. It started with one and spread to the others.
watts300 This is fairly common with endangered species; as their numbers get really low the remaining ones have very low biodiversity and are very susceptible to disease. If one gets sick; its likely the others will get it too.
Dorothy Menefee I suppose that makes sense.
thanks for making that decision. Difficult, but for the best.
I wouldn't have been able to say goodbye. :P Where in Texas? I am in Texas. Hopefully he is close by. :D
- Heidi
Did they reach safely?
