What blows my mind is they went through the trouble of printing sub dials and adding hands for a chronograph function that doesn't exist. One wonders how much cheaper it would be if it was just a three hander with a date...
Years ago I bought a mechanical watch that was advertised as a chronograph. It turned out that the pushers were to change the subdials which were a calendar function, so I sent it back. I thought, when I looked at it in the magazine that the centre seconds was the chrono
Andrew Moron and Teddy Balderdash... my favourite watch reviewer duo on RUclips. I don't agree with most of them but thoroughly enjoy watching their stuff. Keep it up, mate
Oh God yes. Something along those lines would be absolutely hilarious, it's a great video idea, especially if you can get reactions from whatch snobs in those first seconds they haven't taken a good enough look at it while you've told them it's high horology lmao
I've thoroughly enjoyed your choice of music for the "unboxing" part of the video at 2:20. Thank you Andrew! I don't want to say anything about this purchase of yours for obvious reasons.
A work colleague once told me that his friend had applied for a job and ticked all the ‘yes’ boxes by mistake, in a typical ‘have you ever suffered from any of the following list?’ He then joked that the company probably called the guy in to see what he looked like😆. This watch could be a work of genius. I’m tempted myself
I just got an AliExpress watch that's an homage to the Rolex Hulk, $1.99 shipped to me in the US. I think it has the same bracelet as this watch, just full of sharp edges. And the bezel is literally a part of the case, just a raised piece with notches in it. And the minute hand sometimes jumps a little every time the seconds hand ticks. What a stunning piece of junk it is!
You mean quality quartz movements. Chinese shenzhen pingpong backyard quartz movements are even less accurate than any mechanical movement. And will last a month if you are lucky.

I've seen enough people say on forums that they never use the chronograph function on their chronograph that a fake decorative chronograph doesn't sound like a bad idea.
I bought one of these, but without the decorative chronograph function. It did say Geneva on the dial though, and I paid 99p. It came with a cheap NATO that was otherwise retailing at 3.99, so still a bargain!
This is a true beater....best value proposition ever.....0.01!!! Three weeks air freight without a box and runs...follow up with drops from height, shower action and crystal scratchings required...
I bought a couple of hand winding hmt pilot Indian watches. I don’t know how long they last, but, they are cheap, mechanical and have and endless array of very playful dials. I love the two I have and enjoy them in my rotation. Not seen then reviewed. Have you any comment on this affordable and fun watch?
It's slightly depressing to think of all the resources and materials that went into making these watches only for them all to end up in a landfill somewhere.
Once I learned that Temu was legit about a month ago, I ended up buying 5 watches that were only a couple (US) dollars each, literally just to see if they were real, and made of plastic. They're real! And made of metal! I have a couple with a leather band and a couple with a metal band. Andrew is right about the metal band, there's no way I can see to adjust the size. But I don't care, it was a fun experiment and I'm wearing one of the watches right now (I gave one to my coworker, literally told him "Keep it" when he mentioned that he liked one of them. I recommend buying one for fun but don't get one with a metal band, go leather.
I can top you. I have a BoBo Bird Chronograph made with wooden components. I think you should get one of those. Although they are almost infinitely more expensive.
It arrived, it works, it doesn't look terrible - I would have one just as an example as it displays all the things you need to look out for in a bad watch and how good my Casio Edifice is
Oh yes, it is the *absolutely* perfect gift to give to both, your (ex)lover who just just ran off with your (ex)friend as parting gifts wishing them both the best and...hoping whatever is contaminating the bracelets gives them both herpes. 😂🤣😂. In all honesty, I am shocked that for a single penny anything actually showed up at all, much less a watch that actually works! Fantastic review. It is rare that we get even a momentary glimpse into the world of the pinnacle of absolute highest haute horology such as this. Thank you for the much needed laughs. Cheers mate.
Funny thing. My father was giften one of these. It had a different brand and it came in an actual box but it was the same watch with the same movement. I gave it to a watchmaker that serviced some watches for me to repourpose the movement. It's such a bad watch words can't really describe it.
You should try and get a sveston watch. Theyre crappy fashion watches advertised as affordable luxury with all the mumbo jumbo like we cut out the middleman to cut costs. But theyre extremmely cheap and made in Pakistan, which is pretty rare.
In last Longines VHP models (which are very good watches indeed) you also will not find any jewel in the caliber. Maybe some stuck to the dial if any special execution ... . 😊
This watchmaker should send its products through Switzerland to have someone polish them for 30 s, tripling their value and making it possible to label them as Swiss made.
The thing is you could actually get a chronograph with a seiko movement in it for £30 if you can get a Lorus. Which makes me wonder why anyone wants one of these...
I'm even surprised his mechanical watch. At that price I thought it would be a quartz . A quartz watch at that price would probably keep good time at least for a while.
When we talk about watches we always talk about budgets.
It's safe to say this watch is the best at this price range.
What blows my mind is they went through the trouble of printing sub dials and adding hands for a chronograph function that doesn't exist. One wonders how much cheaper it would be if it was just a three hander with a date...
I wondered the same thing.
Free
No no it costs extra to take them off

It's a $2 Masterpiece. And holds a noteworthy title amongst watches for being the cheapest, which is on the cutting edge of a category. I want one.

This goes in the watch roll for next year’s W&W. If it lasts that long. But if it does, *please* wear it publicly in Geneva 🤣

Andrew is gonna flip it and make 100% profit.
I've bought many cheap watches less than $10 they look good and they actually work well and they last me years I always take good care of all them.
That second hand is hitting the markers better than any Seiko.
I like the Marlboro Lights in the "Lover" picture she is holding. LMFAO
Thanks, Andrew. This saves me a penny.
Thank you....you've solved my Christmas gift buying dilemma for my besties.
Andrew, great sense of humor and comedic timing! You always get what you pay for and a $2 watch is no different!
I was gripped by the drama, the unveiling, and....there it was. Great video Andrew!
That was soooo funny! 😂Thanks Andrew, you made my evening! I would like to see a Baltany watch.
I've seen enough people say on forums that they never use the chronograph function on their chronograph that a fake decorative chronograph doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Nothing says "I hate you so much!" than this gift.
What we should do is every subscriber buy one and we start a cult.
Maybe it's not meant for us westerners. For someone it may be a difference between having a basic unrefined watch and not having a watch.
That is true.
The boat sailing past Switzerland on it’s way to UK?
Close to Swiss seashore 😂
Great unbagging video. Loved it
The crown is at a "jaunty" angle. Too funny.
As always very knowledgeable, sarcastic yet entertaining video. Good, very good job. 👍👍👍
Brilliant!! Love😂 that jaunty crown!!
Shoot me in the head, I love it! hahahaha.
1:37 Keep giving yourself cheap watches and someday it will be YOU, walking towards your private plane 😂😂😂😂
'do not forget the family love' hahahah
Another great video brother 👏
You made me sad thinking about Daftpunk 😢
Still a much better value than a DW I'd say ;)
This is probably the funniest watch video I've ever seen. I laughed out loud at the "jaunty" comment.
For me this could be a great watch for young people to wear at a party. You wont be afraid to destroy it, and looks good for the price.
The tetnis line was funny 😂 your funny in general but that one 🤣

I didn't expect a 'jaunty' crown. Wow! It's just right to inflict on my worst enemy. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for the laughs. Cheers!
Watches in my watchbox would beat this one up if I dared to put it in the same box.
The watch box would spit it out.
It's slightly depressing to think of all the resources and materials that went into making these watches only for them all to end up in a landfill somewhere.
This is exactly where I landed, too.
It reminds me of the free watch I got with a Gallon of Duckhams engine oil back in the 80s. It fell off my wrist after about a week.
Your wrist probably felt joy when the watch fell.
Misprinted ads omitted “ex” before “lover,” etc.! 💔 🤣
I just bought a 99 cent dive watch from AliExpress and it's honestly not that bad😅
Those stickers are worth more than the watch.
Had a great laugh, thanks for the video
The blue sticker on the back of the clasp cost more than the watch
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 nearly died laughing!! Thank you Andrew! This really made my day 🤣
Wow. Got the entire family's Christmas presents sorted for next year. And still got 90 pence change from my quid. Awesome!
I absolutely love this review. It’s great
I think it's funny the kissing lady is holding Marlboro lights for some reason. Why are those cigarettes there?

Next the cheapes machanical watch. I actually did it couple of years ago. Winner was it's name, but it was no winner.

The "Fake" is the only part of name they trademarked.
That's what I'd call "taking one for the team." (Looks like the seconds hand us hitting those indices just right, yes?)
Try something from Q&Q! They have the most affordable moon phase. A real moonphase complication! But, it's not a penny!
those stickers! you've ruined it now. Remember never to polish it.

loved their English translations, hilarious. this isn't a watch for just any lover...this is the watch for 'the one'
I dare you to wear it with a straight face. Preferably at a serious event !!!!
You have to give the movement props, it has "Lange" inscribed on it at least! High horology right there
The packaging was terrible. How did it arrive working and plastic window not cracked from shipping damage? Is like packaging from Gearbest.

Not the cheapest ma man. Our local souk gives a quartz for every kilo of arecanut we purchase. So basically free
But there is a mistake in logic here, because cheap is not the same as free. Frame this as paying for a date and it may become clear.
$2 well spent I would say 😂 fun review, great unboxing!
Lots of Folks in Ashford would be very happy with such a fine watch 🙃
If you're out in a high-crime area (like LA or SF), this is the perfect watch to wear.

Hahaha... jaunty.
I bought one automatic movement watch for $20 as white elephant gift but was very surprised by how good it was
There's a good chance it's better at time keeping than virtually any mechanical timepiece.
slap your own logo on this bad boy and compete with mvmt lol
Never underestimate the appeal of a cheap online shopping deal.
People will buy anything if it's dirt cheap.

This looks like the kind of quality watch the man from Vincero sells for under $200!! 😂😂😂😂
Down here in Egypt 2 dollars for a watch is actually average price .
Nah, you're kidding dude.
Jaunty 😂😂😂
Thank you for that Andrew!
Better you than me. 🤣
Second hand hits all the markers!
One of your funniest 😅
This watchmaker should send its products through Switzerland to have someone polish them for 30 s, tripling their value and making it possible to label them as Swiss made.
At one penny value... they could have a Swiss watchmaker sneeze on it and it would be at least 60% of its value. Bam Swiss made.
Now buy a Seagull 1963 and review it on main or here.
The thing is you could actually get a chronograph with a seiko movement in it for £30 if you can get a Lorus. Which makes me wonder why anyone wants one of these...
Next will be a tourbillon watch for a dollar.
I have liked and commented, and I'm already subscribed. Your sacrifice was not in vain, sir. 😂
I wonder if they gave it that super long model name just so they could squeeze in the word “fake” hoping no one would notice.
I'm even surprised his mechanical watch. At that price I thought it would be a quartz . A quartz watch at that price would probably keep good time at least for a while.
Making fun of this watch is not even fair. I'm sure there's a person who would love this watch. They'd have to be blind though.
Please buy a gold skmei shock - I regularly buy them as work leaving gifts due to the sporty international business man vibe
