  • Say hello to Weber's first coffee brewer: The BIRD™
Its unique design stands apart from espresso, French Press, or pour-over to create something all its own: a rich and complex coffee brewed in a sleek, innovative machine with minimal fuss. Short for Brew In Reverse Direction, the BIRD is the first non-bypass brewer to create piston-driven vacuum brews in a glass device. The BIRD is an entirely new platform for baristas and coffee aficionados to explore uncharted territories in brewing, both in homes and in cafés alike.
More details to come. Sign up at weberworkshops... and be among the first to get your hands on one.

That makes me wonder... Did you couldn't machine the slot in the big stainless hardened screw and those mixing prongs and you maybe have to tighten this tiny m3 to it's limits so the entire thing doesn't dissasemble itself during coffee making. Dope.
This is cool because of its full immersion brew, but also using the brew bed (cake/bed filtration), along with a paper filter to make a clean but big body brew.
I’m down for this idea, I want one.

Who cares about the Pulsar in this context? You’re talking a well made, but boring plastic device versus a highly overengineered device. They each have their audience.

Holy shit. How is it possible that every time you release a new product, it totally obliterates everything that has existed before? The esthetics, the functionality, the craftsmanship. Unmatched.

If using a French Press, why use a paper filter? The screw push bar is cool, but I thought the metal filter in a French Press were to preserve oils in the coffee.
