I too had a legend of a grandfather that could literally build anything and had the shop full of coffee cans and baby food jars of various nuts bolts screws, a collection that rivaled big box stores, always watched him with wonder and admiration he taught me lots of “old guy” secrets like rubbing beeswax on saw blades makes them stay sharp cut true last longer and helps seal cut lumber ends
I love your grandpa’s shop ! It reminds me om my grandpa’s shop ! He had an old garage with tons of really old wood working tools , and my father and I got to keep them, and I love using them ! Good memories! Thanks for reminding me of our grandpa’s Stevon!
Sad I arrived late for the premier but man was it worth watching again. I too have been missing my grandpa recently. Given memorial day weekend and all... He to was an absolute legend who taught me how to take care of myself in almost any situation. He was a military man, firefighter, husband to my (also legendary) grandma and they carved a path that an italian american at the time would have a hard time carving. I wouldn't be the person I am today had he not passed down his knowledge and wisdom to me. Funny enough he also had basically every tool for every job and a full shop off the second garage of there house where he made knives professionally for many years. He used to be fairly well known on the east coast back in the day ^_^ Happy Memorial day man! I hope you enjoyed walking through memory lane while crafting the foundation for the new dock. Thank you for sharing this moment with us.

lovely episode. my wife and i had a discussion about the storage utility of mason jars we buy by the dozen, the other day. i told her if we were proper 'mericans, we would never buy jars for storage. we would just save old jars and nail the lids under the cabinets for hardware storage. when i saw what your grandfather did with the jars, i just had to laugh. beautiful.
Love this. I just used one of my grandpa's tools the other day. Sadly the property with his workshop is long gone, but I'm still glad I have bits and pieces to remember him by and help him live on.
My Grandpa died 20 years ago, but I still use his garden workshop - full of all the things - to maintain the house for my Grandma. He had those same jars screwed to the rafters! I have to say, Sortimo boxes are an upgrade!
haha - I love seeing you work that saw with the Speedmaster Moonphase YOLO! Any chance you'll do a watch collection video. Maybe with building something watch related?
I think I should feel personally attacked that I am living in one of the not free states.. does that mean I have to die? or just move to New Hampshire? Instructions unclear....
I knew you'd say something on that Chris - The lake won't allow for new footings for environmental impact, but what is here is grandfathered in. Having the posts of galvanized steel and oak header was the best case scenario for the potential of ice coming inbound, being I can readjust from its hit. Its also the only things that survived the past ~60 years
Now now, this is a repair job. The footings and foundation stay the same, and it is not any *new* addition, therefore, doesn't require said permit. Living FREE.
Uncle Rich didnt register the car and threw him under the bus. Hes not good people, and his lack of videos and quality and any real builds show Stevon was taken advantage of...
It’s clear you being a renaissance man runs in the family. Your Grampa must be a legend if he brought you into the world. I can tell this place makes you happy. looks great! Fine looking wood. 🪵
I like this. a lot. i can only imagine what a place like that is like with every tool ever needed. looking forward to seeing the project

that intro was TOP TIER. Classic stevon
The skeleton! Good to see a classic RR gag
Im glad he's bringing all his talents and edits out again, it makes me smile
And the classic Dave Chappelle sound bite.
Seeing the Rivian in the background as you cut wood reminds me of those Chevy commercials…”like a rock…oooo… like a rock!”
that jingle still haunts me... how could you?
lol that was a modern day version of those commercials, hope Rivian makes it..

My Grampa’s tools are my favorite ❤️ sounds like your garage does it all
my grandfather had a hammer with a welded wrench as a handle and I will never forget it
Your grandfather would be proud of you.

all men back then were legends. making knives?! That is too cool. hope you have some of them!
@@toddclancy5237 I do actually!! I have 3 or 4 of them and most of his rifle collection :)
The fact you drop a tree and turn it into a dock is a different level of badass. Damn Stevon, damn

Your username and image are the absolute best
@@craigmcclure1355 thank you!
hah! It certainly does the trick. Mason jars sure are pretty though when arranged thoughtfully about..

That was hilarious.. and heartwarming. Sounds like your grandfather was quite the man and shows how you got so talented
I always stay for the raccoon updates

BTW, your grampa must have been an amazing dude.
The arrows are back! 😎
lol.
standard youtube thumbnail need for arrows
Cool video and we now can see where you get your talent from. And that was one killer pusher for sure.
thats probably the most ingenious way to clean a beach I've ever seen

Sittin' in the mornin' sun
The subject matter of the stain glass tells me all I need to know.
tis a fine automobile.
It most certainly does.
Got wood? Yes we do!😉
so much wood, where is the milk?
Nice!!!!
well salamander eggs are terrifying looking. but that wood looks great

Artist and song title of the music played during the table saw use, please?
thats stevons music.. he makes all the beats!
He showed a sneak peak of the making of the beat on the MPC beforehand. And in one video the beat on the Tesla DAW
dude I lost it at the screw
im tired just watching you do all that. that table saw pusher is the definition of a man's man for a handle. that would put hair on the chest

I hope you put out an album of your music in these videos..
also SUPER MARIO 2 PAUSE MUSIC? that was a wiff of nostalgia
Hopefully you re-engineer those footings and posts. At least make them last until you're in your 90s.

Salamander eggs! learn something new everyday. The more you know ✨✨✨✨✨
Ahh New Hampshire... Live free or die, but did you get a permit for rebuilding that dock? Because you need a permit to live free. 😂
Wait, you need a PERMIT in NH?!?
are the permits free?
