My friend pointed out that it's a good thing itto's not inherently violent otherwise a shit ton of people would actually be slaughtered. He's powerful even without his vision (i mean look at the cutscene of his story quest, he didn't have his vision but he still has powers), if he were vengeful he could very well ruin the lives of the people who wronged him, but he only attacks when either provoked or defending himself and/or his friends, and he chooses to live freely and happily no matter what. I think the best part about itto is that he's not really forcing himself to be happy

The fact that he's tryna fit into the human society, clear out the bad name of the onis and knows a sh1t ton about yokais is proof enough that he knows what he is and what he's capable of. And it just low-key makes me wish that Genshin *wasn’t* a gacha game, because if it weren’t, there could’ve been so much potential to delve more into character backstories, lore, development, and SO much more. Imagine if this game could’ve been on similar levels with freakin’ OKAMI?? Ayy, but on the other hand, it don’t stop us fans from making our own headcannons, interpretations, and creations, right?
