I think you will find that the esc is protecting your battery. I had the same thing with one of my models. Try a new battery in and you will find it works OK The esc can tell the battery is not up to the job, it's not over heating. Happy flying.
Connect the baterry to the plane and then connect the checker, if the esc draws to much current battery voltage will drop (specially with old batterys) esc will then go to lov voltage protection. When you disconect it baterry voltage will get back to its normal value. In other words battery voltage will drop significantly under load.
Are you sure the battery is ok? I agree with Jareks theory, the battery might be old so it has developed a high internal resistance, which is why the battery got warm after a very short time. This means that the voltage will drop significantly under load but then go back to high voltage when you turn the throttle off. Thats why the checker shows high charge level. This is counter intuitive for many people, but the older he battery is the shorter it will work under load and the HIGHER the % will be after sucking it dry. I work with batteries, but I try to explain it in simple wording here 😊

I have later changed the ESC to 60A YEP one but sadly crashed the plane on maiden flight becouse I have looked at the radio for just a second and it was enough to lose control of the plane. But its fixed again and ready now for round three ;-)
I have had a fpv drone and a glider from eachine now and both had massive quality issues. The drones flight controller just randomly died after 2 months and the gliders servo connectors were soldered so poorly they came right off. @@PetrincicBrosRC Always a good idea. It's going into reduced power and that may be because the internal resistance is high, suspending the current available. The battery probably works for anything drawing under 20 amps. I love the little F16.
It's the battery guys. It's lost all its resistance. You need a new battery to fly the EDF. A lipo over 2 to 3 years old will suffer in an EDF. Put a newer battery I bet it will fly just fine. That is not an overheat protection as the ESC does not have a heat sensor. It was an under-voltage shutdown because the battery has performance loss. If the resistance goes up by 2-3 times the original amount the cells are suffering in performance. Which is what is happening here. It will probably work on a prop plane but not an EDF with high current daw which is why the low voltage protection kicks in. Test the resistance of the cells and you will see they are degraded. Trust me I see people have this issue all the time with EDFs. They say the battery was fine on their other prop plane. Props don't pull as much power as an EDF. A battery with little performance loss will suffer as well. You need a good battery or a new one.

I will test this ESC more.
@@PetrincicBrosRC Always a good idea. It's going into reduced power and that may be because the internal resistance is high, suspending the current available. The battery probably works for anything drawing under 20 amps. I love the little F16.
Wow, that sucked, I would definitely try a brand new battery before changing the esc
Well, it was the problem in ESC. You will see in the next two videos ;-)
Another great video. Christmas is coming so how about posting a shipping address for your channel. Beef Jerky is on sale at our local market. Just an idea.
Maybe I will really put adress on the channel. Thanks for all support my friend.
IF we lived in the same country, i have several esc's id give away! 😁
That would be great my friend. Thanks anyway.
I do believe that the extra wire from your esc is for added lights or for you to add an fpv cam. Is it not?
Maybe really my friend. But it looks just like some signal wire. Single one.
The one single wire coming from the ESC is an RPM wire it goes to an RPM sensor for smart receivers
@@roachcoachhelis6387 Thanks for this information my friend. Was thinking that maybe it is temperature sensor.
@@PetrincicBrosRC it's nothing to worry about
@@PetrincicBrosRC oh, only a single wire? Than I would agree it’s most likely a signal wire.
Skyangel 50mm jet with FMS 11-blades takes on 3s 1300-1500mah for flying
I will check that baby.
At least she wasn’t high in the sky when it overheated, it could have been a nasty crash! The three of you live to fly another day.
Oh yeah. But it did happen on the second filming. But that was my mistake for looking down at radio. One second was enough. But its fixed again.
@@PetrincicBrosRC Oh no! Glad she’s fixed. Here’s to the next flight!
You weren't using a spectrum Tx were you? if so you were probably out of range! 🤣🤣
hi guys,, quick test.. try the at home full battery. full power ok ---- but put the battery monitor on the battery at the same time.. will shoe if bad cell ok boys .. ? tone uk
Thanks Tone. I will.
How’s the bobber coming along?
Not getting anywhere my friend with that bird. Just cant fly it.
Was the LVC set to hi from factory
LVC? What is that?
Extra signal wire for program card maybe..
They say its for RPM sensor.
@@PetrincicBrosRC 👍
Bad luck guys you received a lemon, we will wait for your repair
GOOD MORNING ROBERT DID YOU COVER THE ESC IN HOT GLUE SIR
Good morning Mike. It had air flow over. But maybe could use it even more. I dont know. At the end I will put it back in and try once more.
@@PetrincicBrosRC WISHING YOU GOOD LUCK ROBERT. I HAVE TOTAL FAITH THAT YOU WILL GET THIS BABY TO FLY SIR🇬🇧 PETRINCIC BROS RC SLOVENIA 🇸🇮♥️💯🕊️👍
Try to mesure the internal resistance of the battery, and compare it to a new one
I will my friend.
Salute 🤙
Big salute back my friend.
You should have tested it with half throttle maybe 3/4 throttle Maybe you could have flown like that instead of Full Throttle
I need full throttle to keep it flying. On 3S its not much thrust.
Where do I go to find you guys for I can mail stuff to you or come visit I’d like to know why I have not found anything out or don’t know where to look to get your address to mail stuff to you I’d appreciate it and a place where I can send you pictures of my collection too
Well with this lovely Delta variance going around corona she’s a bitch so needless to say for these last four years I think I’ve been following you guys with your flights and it is the best part of my day evening even your lovely runs you guys get along so well and argue and complain to each other so much and I love it your crash and burn was really funny I enjoyed that and I enjoy your bowl supplies I have a B-17 ball so I’m building from scratch it’s kind of fun but it’s up on the shelf now I haven’t bothered with it I wanna mail it to you
The Chicoms screwed you on the esc.....
I bot a plane from hobbyking and the esc was defective. It happens. They sent me a replacement
