I had a bit of an experience like this in February 2021, when Texas got hit with two snowstorms back to back. Nothing like what's in the video, but still a magical feeling nonetheless. There's a church near my old house, and it has this street lamp that's green rather than white/amber like most of the ones in the area. Walking by that lamp, with everything covered in snow, seeing the green sparkly reflections in the snow, is something I'll never forget. This video was the only part of the Daily Dose video that made me actually stop and think "I have to see more," and of course it's in Finland. I've been infatuated with the idea of traveling to Finland recently, and this video making my jaw drop only fuels that urge further. Truly otherworldly.
I could lay down in the snow and watch that sky all night what a magical place, no light pollution and no people its like your sitting at the top of the world looking out into the galaxy.

True! I keep questioning, like, is it really that bright there at full moon? The bright snow, shadows and a dark sky makes everything look like it's made of some existential horror video game's graphics where the colours are reversed
I also came via Daily Dose of Internet. The reason is basically to ask what kind of camera you use. It seems to have an incredible amount of dynamic range (you can see the stars) while not having any noise. It's almost as if the camera is doing an real-time HDR recording.
The main reason is amazing bright full moon with snow and northern lights. I barely changed basic setting of the footages. Ofc the camera must handle high ISO well. I use Lumix S1 in really dark conditions.
so beautiful - I would love to visit. Not only the sights of the sky, and the diamonds in the snow. The total lack of sound of traffic delights me. 😊 Wonder if there is any sign of wildlife anywhere? tracks, noises, sightings. Is everybody tucked up in dens beneath the snow, sleeping?
