As an Australian it’s actually an island, country and continent
hungrybox and kripparrian should've been on different shows to make for a better final (provided they both qualify which is most likely)
There have had people on multiple times this season, nothing stopping them from having him on in the next few episodes to get in the finale.
Krip was supposed to be on last week's show (When Asmongold won) but his internet fucked him over, and that was a much weaker field. I think he should either get another chance or make the final as a wildcard cause he is pretty smart
there are 2 shows left, he will probably be invited again afterall many people got invited a second time.
I think these should be a bit less edited. It took me 12 minutes to realize there was Hungrybox in this show and I still don't know who the other half of the people are. At least seeing the introductions would be nice. :)

So far, I’m enjoying this episode a lot more. All funny streamers, I was sad when some of them got out early. But then I was interested to see how far Hungrybox and Kripparrian would go against each other

It felt so good to see the integrity of the competition actually be valued to the point that the winner was genuinely excited. This show has come a long way.
I watched this just because Kripp was in it lol. Dude is pretty smart, I was pretty surprised then to see HungryBox going toe to toe with him. Kripp coming out with Boron as part of his answer definitely took me by surprise lol. Definitely one of the best episodes I've seen yet (and I would LOVE to see segments or something that are focused on a single topic and skip several grades per question. I'd like to see how Kripp fares facing against HungryBox when presented with differential calculus questions lol)
Hungrybox was a chemical engineer so the science and math questions would be pretty embarrassing for him to miss.

Australia IS, in fact, an island. It is also a continent. Here’s how:
An island is a subcontinental landmass surrounded by water. We have two definitions of Australia, the country and the continent. Australia the country’s landmass is one of many land masses that comprise the continent of Australia, making the country subcontinental and therefore an island. Oceania is a whole other type of continent that also houses the Australias. In conclusion, Australia the country is an island, Australia the continent is not. So Tubbo did get the correct answer, just not with a full understanding of why it is the correct answer.
Funny cause when you google it literally every answer is saying that Australia is a continent or at most a continent-island and that Greenland is the biggest island in the world

I know this week's class was great and all (it really was, best of the season so far imo) but what really made this episode great for me was seeing how ecstatic Hbox got when he nailed the final question. That kinda energy and intensity in the final rounds really rounds out what is for the most part a show just about having fun. It made for a really great balance overall

Anita technically wasn't wrong, it really depends on how you classify continents. Both Americas are part of the same landmass, thus could be counted as one continent.

6:33 "America" was a correct answer. There are parts of the world (Latin America) where they teach north and south america as one continent.
The definition of exactly what constitutes a continent is not agreed upon.
The Australia island one is somewhat questionable too for a similar reason.
It's a good point to say that the continent is Oceania, which includes Indonesia etc.
However, because Australia is the vast majority of that continent, it gets a bit harder to justify calling it an island instead of the mainland.
I mean if we say Australia is an island it gets hard to not just say "the old world" is the largest island (Africa + Eurasia).
You might instead want to count Antarctica, because like Australia, it doesn't touch any other continents. It is about twice the size of Australia.
Exactly, there are different way to teach continents. They also teach them like that in Europe, I've always been taught that America is the whole continent, which is divided then in north and south, but they are not 2 different continents.

I know there are different continental models and not a true answer, and both of us told which conditions we consider for the best model.
(Oh and before we end the conversation, its possible for planets to have landmasses without tectonic plates, mars for example don't have them but it most probably had water before, and other planets and moons in the universe could be in the same condition, so thats one reason i don't consider tectonic plates a factor to judge what is a continent, one day we would colonize and terraform other planets and the definition is going to be obsolete).

For the question about the largest island in the world, technically answering Australia is correct as it is an island as well as a continent. Greenland is the largest island when excluding Australia due to it also be a continent.

You are wrong,Australia is not a continent,actually the continent is Oceania,and an island is by definition "Surrounded by water on all sides and smaller than a continent",Australia classifies as an island since it is only part of a continent,therefore smaller.

It all depends where you get your information from.
The continent can be called the Australian, Oceania or Australasian interchangably. The reason why the continent can be called the Australian continent is because it is the largest land mass within the continent, with only New Zealand and Papua New Guinea being the other large land masses. As for Australia being an island, i stated that in my original comment I never said that it wasn't an island. As an Australian i believe i know a fair bit about my country.
But with everything as previously stated, it all dependss on where you soruce your information. For me that is though the Australian education system up to a year 12 level of geography which is equivalent to a Senior level of geography in the US or i believe year 12/13 in the UK.
If you want feel free to counter anything i have said but if you do please provide crediable sources, as if i am wrong i would like to know the correct answer(s).
