UNCOVERING 10 early Minecraft features that were REMOVED

- Early in minecraft’s history, many features would lay the framework for what the game offers today many years later. These early, interesting additions can be viewed as lost potential, bizarre, or outright strange. These include lost world types, forgotten structures, famous bugs, and additions to the game that were necessary at the given time. These 10 are among some of the best early in the game series additions that were removed, but a good portion of these would carry on in 1.19 and beyond today. The versions that I a covering in the video are Indev, Infdev, Alpha, Beta, and a surprise at the end. I hope you enjoy :)

I remember the Nether Reactor Core - it was one of the biggest things my Dad, Sister, and I did back when we all played Pocket Edition together, back before the worlds became infinite.
Yup, exactly the same with me, I still have memories of me and my siblings activating the nether reactor core, and fighting as much as we could, so much fun
I remember when I had no idea how to use it
I also played mcpe at the same time
I remember seeing it and, having played the computer version first, had no clue what it did or how to use it. I just thought it was a fancy block.
Man… pocket edition. Talk about a fucking *THROWBACK.*
when I was 10 ten years old playing minecraft pocket edition, I had no idea what the nether reactor core was for, so I tought it was an "electricity" block and I would place these blocks under the floor of my house and pretend it would give electricity 😂
I thought it was speakers, so I used it for mosques
im letting you know i want a part 2
Me too
Me too
Me too
Same dude
Yeah the video was dank af make another ❤
i wish they would add the overcast sky back for forests. it would make them a lot more interesting.
The indev options for land generation really stuck out to me especially considering that other RUclipsrs never really covered that sort of field.
Ah yes the old days of minecraft
Nostalgic I first heard of minecraft when Indef was not even released
iDeactiveMc did but okay
The nether spire is the first version of the bastion remnant
I dunno how many times I've seen these same features but It never seems to bore me
Those old wool types and isometric screenshots would be a cool feature
YES, WE ALL WANT PART 2!! It's great to know new channels with so great videos
Great video.
Part 2 would be great.
Nether Reactor nostalgia
Also, you could break the core before the "event" ended, preventing the spire from getting filled with holes. And if you mined the gold blocks before they were converted, you could keep them without disrupting the reactor.
I would definitely be eager to see a second part :) Also, congrats on gaining so many subs!
This channel is such a gem, keep it up bro!
Biomes were Alpha 1.2, not Beta. I mostly remember this because the Yogscast spawned in a tundra in their original series.
I love learning about old features. If you make more of these, I will find and watch them. :D Keep up the great work.
3:35 You forgot that there was also Rana, a now removed mob from the Indev version of Minecraft, along with Steve, Black Steve and Beast Boy.
Fun fact about the nether reactor core, mojang swapped it's textures with the ones from the Plastic Texture pack 4 versions after it was removed (0.15.0). Mojang also stated they are never going to fix it...
Finally! Someone else that remembers when the Nether Reactor made an obsidian spire!
the obsidian version of the nether reactor structure is rarely ever mentioned and everyone else just brings up the netherack version, so it's surprising to hear someone talking about it
just found ur channel and rly love ur content !! ab to binge watch every video fr
imo the nether reactor core is still the most interesting block ever introduced in bedrock edition, i remember thinking the netherrack structure it created was so cool that i destroyed my house and moved into the spire
nether spire was amazing
So much nostalgia now it have been 10 years since i first played Minecraft damn
Nice content, from 300 to 3k in 2 vids! Wow!
I'd love to see a second part! Keep up the amazing work!
Heh the Farlands became a plot point in Minecraft: Story Mode
Minecraft code & game history is such a labyrinth, rad vid
Man these removed features were interesting! Looking forward for a second part!
Great video and also we NEED a part 2
I've been playing since Secret Friday 7, I remember way too much of this all.
Just liked and subscribed, great content man! Please do part 2
Thanks! Glad to have you with us!
You just unlocked a childhood memery with that neither core , I remember doing that on a pocket edition faction server
Your nether reactor story made my day
9:21 ahh my old pal MATTIS have not seen you in ages
Part 2 would be pretty cool
told you you'd hit it big! good job man.
Thanks I appreciate you
I remember the Nether core. I used to go in creative (peaceful mode too) and spawn a bunch of towers close together. Now, I’m solely a pc player, but I honestly kind of miss it
WE WANT PART 2!!!
Haunted Soundtrack :D
Ah, good old hell biome
Reminds me of the days when the skeletons shot one arrow a second
man i did the same thing with the nether reactor, half of my house was gone
this is so well made and well researched! keep it up :D
It’s really cool to see how these influenced the game we know today!
Ayy you're at 3k
Honestly I think they could add a whole dimension based on old features of Minecraft. It should be a optional starter dimension like the overworld, be a proper survival experience if you choose to start there.
This is so nostalgic
Part 2 pls amazing vid
I still think that cauldron should have more uses with potions, especially since you can already poor potions in cauldrons on bedrock and use it for tipped arrows, I'd like to see more done with it. Otherwise they are kinda of a useless item outside of farming lava and powdered snow.
Fun fact: by selecting the single biome and then end you'll get a floating islands-kind of overworld and I'm saying *kind of*, Because It will only have water grass and dirt blocks.
I would very enjoy a second part
They should add Monoliths and The Farlands back in. No reason why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Considering Mojang has a track record of turning bugs into features, it would be pretty cool if they were purposely kept in.
Nether reactor core 😭😭😭 nostalgia
anyone else think the old way to brew potions was cooler than it is now?
8:32
I miss the nether reactors
A'ight bet
We waiting for part 2
Oh my god it’s the aether I new it was real!
Hey nice video you just gained a sub
Part 2!! And if needed, Part 3!!
Edit: Paradise is essentially a game rule setting now.
Please make part 2
Please include the Forgotten camera and camera mob in next part plsss
How do you access these super old Minecraft versions
This is gonna blow up soon
I demand part 2.
:eyes: a second part?
Nice vid, commenting for algorithm
I miss nether reactor core so much… just want her back 💔💔💔
when i played minecraft ps3 edition, i remember playing the tutorial world a lot. i just like the many structures. i remember an enchanted diamond pickaxe being in an abandoned library in a jungle, and a jungle temple surrounded by water. though i dont understand why the screenshot feature cant just be chunk based. its so fcking stupid to think it has to take a picture of the entire world. like render distance doesnt span the entire world, just a maximum of i think 24 chunks. or maybe 10, i dont remember. and yet i just made a new world yesterday. also the farlands were in the game just a few years ago, like 2021 so
Part 2 please.
Part 2!!!
ayo a good small youtuber?
OG MCPE 😭😭😭😭
I want to turn back time.
underrated
I was the first to do allot of cool things with pocket edition when it was young I wish I shared them back then.
1. We didn't have caves yet, however world edit at the time would work with both pocket and Java so I copied the caves from a Java world over to my pocket world. I was probably one of the first people to ever have caves in that game.
2. I had the real nether. Again using world edit I copied the nether and paste it to a new pocket world. When it was time to go to the nether I simply moved my player file over to the Netherworld. Gathered my things and moved my player file back to the regular world world probably making me the first person to you have the real nether before it was implemented
keep it up man!
nice video
I’ll watch part 2
