Hey Budget Besties! Hang out with me as I complete my bi-weekly budget. This budget did not give what I thought it was going to give but I worked it out. Thank you in advance for watching and please make sure that you are subscribed to the channel. We are on a mission to hit 17K Budget Besties in the community and I know together we can make it happen 🤗
I am subscribed to your channel and ready to get real about my spending!
But I was ready to sign on to your phone plan. Hahaha
I went to the store a cpl weeks ago and got all the envelopes and a budget book. I have stashed a whole $20 aside.
Hey there,
I wanted to stop by and say I went back-and-forth with canceling my cable as well. But I chose to cancel it last year and I have not looked back. I get all of my information through my apps and if I need to hear the news then I will think about purchasing the CNN app which I haven't even done that yet. During Covid all I did was watch CNN and that was during the election time so I kinda was burned out from it anyway. Go ahead and cancel it and don't look back my friend! 😊❤❤. Love your content.
We're a one paycheck a month family, when money get tight we live on breakfast food. Eggs, toast milk, pancakes/waffles, and cereal are a way of life for us.
Sounds amazing 🤩 I could live on breakfast food, I love it!!!
@jennifer7648 the added benefit is that my husband lives for breakfast and were he given the option it would be about 80% of his diet with steak, and chicken and dumplings. Another trick we learned is look up recipes that predate 1960. We're a farming family and most recipes can feed a family for cheap.
I did this as a single mom of 1. It helped and to this day we love breakfast for dinner. And spaghetti. 😋
I know that feeling, living in the UK 🇬🇧 xx
@renegadearcana5795 do rice and eggs, toast, and bacon or sausage. It will make you full throughout the day.
Girl…we sympathize and empathize with you because we are experiencing the same thing. I definitely got more bills than money coming in but I continue to do what I can with what I got. I refuse to stress anymore because I know God is in control and he will definitely make a way. 😊 By the way, love the “besties”..❤
Yup. We cannot stress over these things. Pray, do the work, and God will always provide. Okay great, thank you for your feedback... I think everyone is taking a liking to Besties
@BudgetTreasures you can definitely cancel the cable and keep your internet, just get RUclips tv and it would be cheaper that way. You can still watch live TV, bc I just pay 67.00 a month now instead of 365.00 for cable, internet
I heard my words coming out of your mouth, "I need to be a better steward of what He provides." Thanks for the great video and reminder. 💸 🙏🏾 ❤
Absolutely! Thank you for being here🤗
I love your transparency, thanks for sharing I think everyone should start Living below their means" adjust their lifestyle, be frugal, budget, save and invest. This helped me out as a 6 figure earner. I've grown over half a million in retirement savings with this method
Congratulations to you Sandra so happy for you I know it takes consistency to be successful, it's really so hilarious, Sadly there's actually people living paycheck to paycheck
Congratulations great accomplishment keep it going, you said it all right there!!
Aira Antoinette 41. I Just started at my six figure job after being in and out of the poverty line. I really hope I don't end up like this. I'm scared really scared!!!
Don't panic, start out easy, don't buy things you don't need, budget every money, always save a portion of your pay atleast 5%, Invest from your pay check; it grows and helps you accumulate wealth easily.
Thanks, I started saving a bit already, how do I go about investing? I want to try all my options
Girl, I feel you. The last 30 days has been a whirlwind. I feel like timing is divine though 🙏
I've come a long way from living paycheck to paycheck, eating peanut butter crackers for dinner when I was broke. Sleeping in my car at one point. Beginning of May I booked a plane ticket for my first real vacation. Got myself hooked up with a nannying gig making extra 600 each month. Then my car pooped itself, 4k I didn't have to fix a beater. Kicking myself for not saving, I got into a car loan and felt pretty anxious about the payments. Right when I did that my work place started being really toxic. I felt targeted and started job searching, now with more options with a more dependable car. I found a new job and gave my notice, and was walked out on the spot. Sh*t had really hit the fan and escalated. I start my new job, with a pay raise and shorter commute, next week. I will get my vacation hours paid out. But in the meantime, I am thankful for this nanny gig, as it is holding me over. Just this week in a few hours I have earned over half my rent 🙏 a week after I got my new car I realized the transmission was slipping. The freaking odds. But this time the warranty department is paying for a new transmission and a rental. My point is, life happens but God will provide. It will be okay.
GOD will provide!!
Life happens, God provides. Bring me to tears 🥹❤️ bless all of you
Stumbled across this video while in the middle of learning to budget and having an anxiety attack. “ Trusting God” is definitely something I needed to hear and being a good steward over what he’s blessed me with. Thank you for this video! You definitely have a new follower!
Thank you so much for being here! Yes, we are trusting GOD
My story right here !! Sometimes the 3 pay periods a mth ...makes it a bit rougher the following mth. such as upcoming July 23 ..it's a later 1st paycheck on the 14th that hurts my strategy on keeping my budget routine on track & It sucks 😢!! It makes me anxious!! I've been working on my credit for 4 years now, got it almost together..and it's still not that great of a deal when you have fair/good credit but don't have the extra funds/ paychecks coming in to do any borrowing and any extra getting loans to carry you over in certain situations as I mentioned previously!! BUT GOD 🙏👏🙌💯
When I calculate my bills for the month, I get paid once a month, I include everything, such as gas, groceries and pet food. This has helped me tremendously. Even though I don’t have any money left over, I know that I can cover my expenses.
Girl I had to shout reading this comment! Lord, we thank you!!
Being able to cover your bills and expenses is a blessing!!! God will provide!!
I am in a very similar situation and YES!! GOD DOES PROVIDE!! We will get thru this!!
There are a lot of budget grocery RUclips videos that are very helpful! I just bought $58 worth of groceries and I meal planned for that to last me 10 days breakfast lunch dinner. You should try those vids
I’d get a Ring doorbell and get rid of ADT! This is coming from a real estate agent lol. The sales reps for ADT hound on new homeowners and make them feel like it’s a necessity. That’s a lot of money for something you might never use. Ring doorbell or some other safety system that’s similar at least provides some peace of mind. Just a suggestion!
New Sub here. I appreciated that your paycheck to paycheck budget was real.
I have followed other budgeting channels, and they’re just not realistic. They have all this money coming in they’re able to pay their bills are able to have all this cash on hand and take all these trips and I came across your channel and I feel you. I was just in the same position the other day after I did my budget by paycheck, Workbook and the amount of bills that had to go out versus what we had left over was barely anything , so I was able to relate. We are a family of five. I am a full-time stay at home mom, my children are young adults and my husband is the sole income so that should tell you something lol.
Yes, I understand...It is tough out here and inflation does not help at all....Thank you for being here and watching...
Cable....let it go.. let it go!
It is so refreshing to see someone else in the same boat as me. Not that I would wish it upon someone to not have enough for bills and things like that but it's what my husband and I have struggled with for soooooo long and I feel like I don't know how to get out of this hole that is not being able to cover bills/expenses and things like that... it's difficult when you feel like you've already cut out so much!
I understand how you feel. There has to be a way out and thru.
I believe right now Peacock has a special for $19.99 for a full year. That could help supplement the cable as well.
Right now I get Peacock for free with my cable service...but I think that it is only free for 1 year I think...I want to catch the deal for Starz
Hello! love your videos and appreciate your transparency. For my household, we cancelled cable and kept internet only, which was a huge savings. Their is peacock, tubi which has so many updated movies and other stuff to watch. Hope this helps. 🙂
Thank you so much...
New Budget Bestie here 😊. I appreciate you making this video because.....SAME. To cancel your cable and keep the internet, call the provider and state exactly that. I've done it with Spectrum and they usually end up giving me a discount to stay a customer or offer me a different package at a lower cost.
Hey Bestie!! Yup. I did that and they gave me a $20 discount. Once I return the box and start using my Roku that’ll be another $10. We’ll see how I like that discount and go from there
I am on the same boat. More bills then money. I just started doing hardship programs for the credit cards i have. For example one of my credits minimum payment is around $130 but with the hardship program it is going to be reduced to $99 for 6 months and lower interest too. They will suspend my spending ability but it does help to break my habit of constantly using my credit cards.
I am glad that they have that option for you. As long as we communicate the credit cards companies will work with us
It took me 3 years of going back and forth before I cut cable. I am so glad I did. I keep Hulu and Paramount Plus all the time, and every 6 months or so, I'll add Netflix or something else for a month or two, get caught up and then cancel it.
People are saying that they have not gone back to cable. hmmmm. I have somethings to think about
I like the name change, it's nice to see a content creator that has stated the problem alot of us may have more bills than income. X
The fact that you were having a tighter month on your income yet you still put money away for others is incredible. Xx
And tithed. I omit that when things are tight. I will not anymore.
Thank you so much! 💜🤗
@@BudgetTreasures how do you handle a separate account that you you use to pay bills?
Id like to repeat. Thanks for your transparency! ❤ Nice to know, I am not alone out here trying to survive.
I've just joined your channel a little while ago. You're very relatable. Realistic. Sometime the bills are more than the money brought in. And then we find a way. I am on the cut the cable team. I'm in Canada but haven't had cable for 5+years. Pluto, tubi are free. Roku has a lot of free stuff as well, and they're not much money. With cable I just find that you only watch a few of the channels but pay for 100. Good luck on your financial journey!
Thank you so much for being here! I really appreciate you! You are so right. I only watch a few channels so I can definitely save some money.
Love Besties!! Yes the Lord will provide - always. I'm a firm believer in this. You will have what you need.
Bestie! I was apprehensive to cut cable as well but I decided the cost was not worth it. And I also love watching tv. I just find random shows on Hulu. I cut cable over 3 years ago and have not gone back! ❤
WOW! 3 years. This is encouraging
I canceled cable a year ago and I do not miss it one bit. I watch RUclips, Netflix, Hulu and I’m super content with those platforms. I saved an extra $80 a month cutting cable and having only internet. I’m thinking about getting a cheaper internet plan because I work from home as well.
Everyone says that they do. not look back...😆 I hope that is the same for me.
Thank you for not being ashamed of the God we serve! I appreciate you listing your tithes and declaring he shall supply all of our needs. I too have so much more bills than money. I’m praying for wisdom on how to be a good steward over my finances and He led me to this video. God bless you and thank you 😊
Just know at the struggle is real and you’re not alone. I’m proud of you that you’re still making a way out of no way & putting money to the side for your sinking funds.
Well Said! Thank you so much!!
@@BudgetTreasures
You are so welcome my friend 😊
I love your transparency in these video! It’s RAW and I appreciate that! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you
Budget besties is really cute!! You got this girl! I love how you keep going forward no matter how many times you fall! God bless you! ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you 😊
This is one of the realest videos because I did my first ever draft for my check next week (a super beginner) and it was EXACTLY like this
Hey Jaz, it's Jas lol def cut the cable girl! I did back in 2015 and haven't looked back. My kids don't even understand the concept of not picking what they want to watch next, lol! Stick with it, girl. I am right there with you on this financial freedom journey!❤
Hey Jas!!! 😂Thank you so much! Yes, I am giving it some thought
Thank you for sharing your budget, sometimes it feels like we are so alone as we go through, but this video really helped.
I am so glad that it helped you. You are not alone at all. If we remain steadfast we will push past the hard times for sure. Be encouraged 💜
Currently going through this same struggle and it is hard. I constantly struggle with which bills I can pay on certain days. I had a month where I couldn't afford groceries and that was low feeling. Thank you for sharing.
I’m a budget bestie 😊 I love your videos. I just ordered some binders & things to get me started. Im excited to be on this debt free journey with you!!
Yes!!! Let’s do this!!! 🤗
I just started this whole budgeting and cash envelope method for myself as well. I was using regular envelopes and a dollar tree divider until I had enough to get an actual binder with envelopes in it (and to make sure I was actually going to stick to it, lol 😉), but ordered a binder off Amazon last night! I can't wait til it gets here!! Let's do this ladies! ❤
For the home cleaners make your own. Equal parts water with vinegar add a table spoon of the blue dawn and if you want a certain smell add a few drops of essentials oils. Best homemade cleaner.
Have you ever thought of bartering with people from church or or friend circle? I’m sure you know someone who does hair who needs to learn to budget. My mom lost her job in 1984 and they paid for her cake decorating classes and she did wedding cakes and all other for exchange on things we needed done at home she couldn’t do as a single parent of 4. Then in 1992 same thing happened and they paid for her cosmetology courses and since then she has worked for herself and still barters with people who can not pay but as you she only says,”don’t ask me how I only trust in God and everything works out even if it’s in the final minutes don’t worry just stay still and let God do his thing.” She was this optimistic when she was diagnosed with breast cancer (thank the Lord she has been cancer free for 21 years).
I would also consider going to church virtually a couple times a month and watch virtually to cut down on gas unless you live less than 15min away.
I just found your channel and subscribed. I feel you with having more bills than money so it means a lot that you are covering this topic as many other budgeting videos don’t talk about that. I’m just getting started in my budgeting journey and it’s really been a struggle but I’m not giving up.
Thank you for this! A realistic budget video from a real person. I need to do a side hussle myself.
Let’s go!’
Hey Bestie! Thanks for sharing your journey with us❤
This video was very helpful. Thank you for sharing. I'll start on this today.
Great work in organizing everything! When separating your new bills account can I suggest that only household expenses come out of that and that you keep things like Netflix and other discretionary spending subscriptions linked to your variable spending account? That way if you ever need to downsize expenses you have things sorted at a glance between needs and wants
That is a good idea
Hey girl hey! I love this so much b cus I relate so much to it. Definitely hard when paychecks don’t cover bills 🥹 but things will get better! Subbed 💖
I just subscribed! This is refreshing to watch I know I need to catch up to current video of ur budgeting but u just gained a loyal subscriber🎉
so thankful for your transparency and openness and sharing your journey. I promise you that you are helping me and I’ve got to believe so many people by being so raw because I am right where you are. It feels like every week! Thank you for the great content you are the best!
You’re welcome. Absolutely 🙏🏽
Hey, i think is is the first time I came across your video or really watching your video. I can honestly say I got more bills than money so keep up the good job and what you're doing and god will prevail❤
Yes He will ❤️
Hang in there and the more you budget the better it will get❤
Thank you for being real. And a real budget. I’m swimming about to sink. It’s a comfort to know I’m not alone as we all work towards financial freedom.
Finally someone whose budget is realistic. I am on a fixed income where i get paid monthly. By the end of the month i am usually on .00. I am starting the cash stuffing method and i hope it will help.i subscribed to your channel so i can follow your lead.
I love the bill account idea!
Thank you for all the videos Queen! Have a magnificent blessed week
Thank you so much! You have a blessed week also!
Hey budget bestie! Know how you feel more bills than money for the last 2 months just trying to get this debt out of my life! Thanks for sharing your real life videos!
Thank you Budget Bestie!!
Just found this video and Subscribed. This video really helps me get a good idea of how to better myself when it comes to budgeting my money because I'm working and just left home to go to school and I'm paying my own way through it all. I am just young and clueless because I just started my adult life, So thank you! So proud and happy to be a budget bestie now and going along with your journey and learning some tips along the way.
I am so happy that you are now a budget bestie!! Congrats on going to school. Try your best to learn all that you can and use wisdom while in school

I rely on God's provision, too. It never fails.
I like budget besties.
I enjoy your videos a lot. Thanks for posting. 😊
Thank you!!
💜
I needed this video because the bi weekly pay makes you really budget I had to pause my hulu for a few months and I'm about to get ride of the cable
You have the right attitude!
This definitely be me! Have more bills than money! Then I don’t work right now! But God has definitely been providing for me, even when it has looked like I had run out of money, he has shown and provided more than I can think or Imagine! The envelope always helped me! I love the one you have! Thanks for the videos! Definitely a great reminder! We need these videos!
Thank you so much...I really enjoy creating these videos
Can’t wait to see your journey!
Thank you for your transparency… love videos like this
We got rid of cable a long time ago. We just use apps. We’ve also discovered that when they want to increase the rate, we just cancel and subscribe under a different email address
That’s my usual. More bills then money. Great video ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your truth .
Love the Budget Besties.. and girl this is me!!
You are a saving Grace. God gonna bless you because you are definitely blessing us with this knowledge
Thanks for being relatable, im glad your back🙂
Thank you!
Hey @BudgetTreasures. I’m new here but I saw that your Hulu is $12.99. We are some months out but but around Black Friday Hulu is usually on sale for $1-3 a month for a yr.
I thought of cancelling cable but decided against it. But you can call them and speak with customer loyalty or retention department and tell them you are looking to lower bills and ask if there are an promotions or discounts that you qualify for.
Thank You for this!!! I will definitely check this out on Black Friday. I’m going to also call my cable company for some cheaper options
Just found your channel! I love this. Thanks for showing your real budget and yes God will pull you through. He always does. 😊
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you being here and watching 🫶🏾
soooo appreciative to have you as a budget bestie
👋🏽 Hi. I just subscribed. I also need to be a better steward of what God has given me after being recently convicted by the Holy Spirit. I’m working on balancing every aspect of my life, which includes spirituality, finances, health, etc. Great informative video. We can do this!! Thanks!! 😊
Thank you for subscribing! 🤗 We can do this!!! I believe in you!!
Paycheck to paycheck budgeter here !! Thanks for the video!
You bet! Thank you for stopping by and watching 💜
We cancelled cable too. If you have a smart TV you can use your apps, they are already installed in TV. I work from home too so I FEEL YOU about needing high speed internet. This is so helpful. I will have to buy this planner
Same
I’m doing keto. Fast a lot so easy on the budget. Don’t know how young you are but at 50 buy a long term insurance policy. Put a Pur water filter on your kitchen faucet. Car insurance, health insurance?
Remember fellow " besties" , God provides our needs according to scripture! Clothes , food, shelter. When the Holy Spirit lead me to discern my needs from my wants things got much better financially
I started saving and buying toiletries every 3mo or 6mo, whichever suits my household at the time. I tend to shop lower cost stores for these items because building a savings was crucial to my financial development. Instead of buying lotion, we opt for coconut oil. You mentioned you like perfume. It sticks better to coconut oil than lotion and costs so much less.
I am watching this three months later and your 17,000 subscriber goal has been surpassed by 10,000! Congratulations. I'm a. new subscriber. Have a great day.
I just suscribed..love the reality of the struggle. Glad to know I am not alone.
You are not alone! Thank you so much for subscribing 💜
I don’t like soda, never have. I don’t care for juices, once in a blue moon I’ll drink lemonade. My drink of choice is coffee and water.
Don’t take it out of savings!!! Use the $70
Great video!!! I’m right there with you sis more bills than money. But God does provide and we will be alright and it won’t always be this way, this I’m sure of ❤❤❤
Thank you. so much
I have the same planner!
I love your transparency. Thanks for sharing. I’m a new subscriber.
Info: I have not had cable/satellite in so many years. I do have Prime and my son pays to let me have RUclips. He is a Marine. My house is paid for. Not fancy but it's home. Car is paid for. Same, not fancy, has like 380,000 + miles. Life is beautiful. Not materialistic. Not overwhelmed. We drink water to!! Eat pretty basic. Two other kids attend/attending college on scholarships!!
That is amazing! I love when people are living the exact life that makes them happy. This is what it is all about.
I cut cable about 7 years ago. Basically, I watch whatever I want through wifi on my tv, phone, or tablet. I have hulu and paramount+ through my T mobile for free, I watch Prime video through my Amazon Prime for a small monthly payment and I have several channels I watch on RUclips. I got a eero so that I show being hardwired a requirement for my work at home job. This is hooked up through wifi. I search 'Where to Watch....whatever to find where to watch what I want to see. Instead of cable, I just have wifi.
I don’t have a side hustle but I’m getting my certification for my job and that will make a difference. I’ll be able to work outside of my job to make way more money than could typically make in a day.
Get an antenna depending on you're area an antenna can get a lot of channels. I'm in central CA and I get 54 local free over air tv channels. I then have prime and a few streaming services thru prime so it is all in 1 bill. Then I just get a good internet connection and been saving a boat load of cash. Local channels give you local stuff plus. Streaming covers everything else.
Thanks for this. Sometimes I have more bills than income too because I own my own business. I need to figure out how to earn more money.
Girl same! So our friend group got rid of cable and split Hulu live bundle. It literally cut our entertainment bill in half! I also have a month ahead fund so my fixed expenses are good and it's such a weight off my shoulders.
I do an antenna, Roku, Internet, and whatever subscriptions I like.
I'm in girl! Part of your family now!!
YES!!!
I cut cable and use Wi-Fi for apps.
Thanks for your transparency. We have to trust that God will make a way. Congrats on 19K+ subscribers! 💜
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏾
Love it. Thank u!! Im happy I found ur channel.
You can connect your laptop or pc with a tv and watch everything on there.
New budget bestie. I just subscribed! Looking forward to more videos.
I’m not sure what speed of internet your job requires, but T-Mobile has home internet (Wi-Fi and hard wire) and can be added to your bill. Mine is about $55/mo and I haven’t had any issues in over 2 years!! It’s not much of a savings, but it’ll be A savings!! 😊
I would cancel ADT. I know it makes you feel better. But it s something to consider. Also, there are alternatives that are a one time cost thing rather than a monthly expense. Also, whenever your job offers you a raise I would ask for the additional $20 to cover internet. It’s okay to go to a food pantry to supplement your groceries and toiletries.
If you cancel the extra non necessities like stars and Hulu you can have a small bit of extra set aside to save or gas money or food etc.
