This may sound weird, but you can use Crisco shortening to machine aluminum. The part will have a better finish and the chips/worms don't stick to the drill or tool bit as much.
Wount that soft aluminium center be bend and scuffed up with you hit on your flywheels in your stand? If it gets off center abit it will make it very hard to true when you losen and tighten again. Just a thought.
if you watched the video all the way you would have know that this part has no center. this part is basically a big threaded bushing that the stock steel center goes into. it has worked as planed so far. tatro
