Deposits of "Nitrolene", a high-energy fuel, have been discovered in swampland near Duval's Landing in the bayous of Louisiana by Dr. Hartman, who signs an agreement with developer Herman Einreich. After getting the map locating the deposits, Einreich has Hartman killed by his henchman Cassard and departs for Duval's Landing on the riverboat Morning Glory. The riverboat's captain, Ethan Perrin, is one of the three landowners involved, and attorney Steve Langtry, the son of one of the other two landowners, is investigating Einreich's offer for his father's land, but foreign agent Rudolph Toller and his underlings Bruno Bloch and Louis Schaber are also on the Morning Glory trying to get Einreich's map, aided by one of the riverboat's entertainers, singer Celeste Eltree. "Mystery Man" Clayton and his Cajun associate Batiste are also clearly up to no good, but helping Langtry are Captain Perrin's daughter Jenny, the riverboat's steward Napoleon and entertainer Jug Jenks.

Have a Polaroid of Dodd, his wife, my brothers, sister, and I along with Dodd's '59 Pontiac and Dad's '60 Corvair in the shot.
Another Classic Edge-of-your-seat-Endiongs series. Sure love the build up in those 15 minutes Shorts,that Hollyweird couldn't come close to in Action/Drama/Adventure shows today, in the same 15 minutes.
One of the few things wrong about this film is Location. There are no cliffs like the ones that cars keep going over, in Louisiana, that I ever saw over 4 years.

His daughter wrote a wonderful biography, "The Entertainer", of her father, whose career was the history of show business...tent shows, circus/carnival, vaudeville, silent then talking pictures...TV....legit theater

It is amazing how Steve’s suit is dry so quickly after being in the river. It’s even ironed! Why don’t they ever down shift to stop with no breaks?

Unfortunately the serials of Universal and Columbia were rather mediocre. Republic had the best but even their films went downhill in the 1950s when serials were going out of fashion and budgets were slashed.

@@-oiiio-3993 I saw a personal appearance by Mouseketeer Cubby O'Brian the drummer - He had nice things to say about Jimmie Dodd - He wrote all the musical jingles that were used in the show - And Cubby described the whole experience of being a Mouseketeer as very friendly and like a family - Not something you hear from every quarter in Hollywood !

Napoleon, the part of the crew that carried all the luggage on the Riverboat the Morning Glory..
So, Napoleon course. with a different name he was the chauffeur for Charlie Chan,
