I thought they'd be using AI-generated announcements similar to what you envisioned, but I was surprised that they actually recorded new announcements for the service that even includes transfers to buses (not just SBS like the rest of the subway either).

Believe it or not I actually have never been to Staten Island. But I have been on the subway and luckily there has been no issues on board for me. I think this is a great fit although the platforms and train cars are shorter than in New York City. Staten Island passengers never got to experience newer subway accessibility including automated announcements until now!! I hope this all goes well in the future! I really want to visit this part of New York sometime. I love it so much.❤
