- Welcome to Iblis, a very unique and genuinely unsettling and scary indie horror game. I have never played a game with this aesthetic and theme. This was very interesting to play and genuinely unsettled me, especially because the gameplay was so super confusing. I never knew how to progress the game, things just kind of seemed to happen at random which made my gamer brain be genuinely scared. I hope you enjoy! Much love and see you during the streams :D

_"...min Al-Jinnati wa An-Naas."_ is the last verse of the Qūran chapter *_QS. An-Naas._*
In Arabic, each word literally means:
_"min"_ = "from"
_"Al-Jinn"_ = "the Demon"
_"wa"_ = "and"
_"An-Naas"_ = "humans"
Within full context of the chapter, the last verse is about praying/asking to God for divine protection against the Demon (Al-Jinn); and the wicked humans (An-Naas) who side with them, which in this game's case, refers to The Bride who made contract with the Demon sometime in her life before she died in a car accident.
As a Muslīm, the game's intro actually creeped me out...
Fr it's so scary since it feels like the Main Char really needs a protection from the devil
Fr it scared me from the beginning when i hear the verse. I even skipped the video many times
I love muslim and turkish games
For real, same here I don't know much arabic, I know like 1 sentence, but about the Jinnats and wicked humans I know. Even tho I'm not really religious I'm am really superstitious, so I was really scared at the game, but the prayers actually really helped me feel safer hahaha idk why it's a video game
Great! This game is really scary...
What did he say in 32:43? I cannot understand.
When I see the title...I already thought that this game might be downright scary since Iblis is Devil in my country's language...and as much as I want to watch the full content...I don't think my heart is ready so I skipped a lot...but great video as always Insym!
Where are you from. I guess the word "Iblis" is used in most countries in Middle East Asia, or a country near from there, because most muslims are there.
bruh you glass if ya skipped i watch the full hour videos
@@hantz8771 Indonesian here, we use the word here
I'm guessing you're Indonesian or Malaysian

I absolutely love it when horror games have some kind of cultural relevence to it. Like how Detention and Devotion have Taiwanese culture and history, Blasphemous has Spanish Catholic roots to it, and Home Sweet Home has Thai supernatural creatures and urban legends.
This game seems to have Islamic roots and demons ("iblis" being a kind of demon in Islamic culture), and since I'm from a Muslim country, this feels weirdly close to home. Honestly, it makes it more uncanny and creepy for me.
This is a turkish game
Iblis being a "kind of demon" in Islamic culture?? You mean it's literally the name for the devil himself in Islam. xD
@@MIbra96 yes
@@MIbra96 yeah, "iblis" is who Christians call Lucifer. It's not " kind of demon" he is one entity.
@@MrAdrien914 dude Turkish people are Muslims
at the beginning of game, He's recite surah An-nas which a prayer to seek refugee from evil & jinn
And its make the game even more scarier for me
ikr because we know this totally can happen and has happened
I know it's a Turkish game but I am impressed with how highly accurate the clergyman reads the verses from the Qur'an. Even during jump scares. Well done to the developer! I hope they go far. Cos they definitely scared the shit out of me, haven't felt the same since PT.
some turkish people are muslims so maybe that's what makes it very accurate
@@annastasiamnd1639 some? majority of turkey is muslim lol. It is one of those countries with 90% muslim
Blind corners and doors seem like the quite literally easiest jumpscare material, exactly why indoor horrors are so spooky. You could eventually go anxious over possible jumpscares just like in Resident Evil 7.
EDIT: I do not speak Arabic but I know that the Main Character was praying in 7:43 for example, you can see it in a lot of ghost encounter videos, they pray to scare away the ghosts / demons, and in Japan they usually curse in order to scare them away :)
Actually, in CHINA they curse and shout to scare the ghosts away. Not Japan.
"I'm supposed to be here to exercise"
Yes, with the amount of walking you did, I'm sure it's going great
That would be so cool to do a horror game where you travel the world and learn about different religions/cultures and exorcise spirits based on the specific religion and ritual. Interesting stuff
Yeah, I'd love to play a game like that. Something like Phasmophobia or Ghost Hunters Corp but more international. You can only exorcise spirits with the correct rituals from the culture/religion it's from.
I'm only here for your single player horror games vids , and I love them :D I hope you keep making them ^^
Insym watching your videos made ne save up for a pc for the first time ever so next year ima get a pc and play horror games. And holefully become a better youtuber. Your my inspiration tysm ilysm!
I love how Insym in all his videos is handsome beautiful man but can make the wildest scared faces when something scary happens XD
Man, the main character reciting Ayat ul Kursi was so soothing, saved me from the jumpscares. loved the game, and loved the video! also made me wonder how many places insym has traveled to, his stories are so cute! and lol, the voices u heard early in the morning at istanbul was the call to prayer, its supposed to wake you up!
When there was that really loud noise and you said something "nothing was even there, it was just a loud noise", im pretty sure the bride was standing there in the hallway but you looked at just the wrong angle to see it right in front of you
Right around 25:50
Though I could be wrong
yea something is there for like a split second, it made me jump for sure. Maybe longer but i am not sure, didnt see much. Edit after rewatching it quite a few times I didnt really see anything either, but jeez. lol
22:20 it was at this moment my phone learned how to fly
A Bismillah a day keeps the spooky ghost away
32:32: give us a sign! show yourself!
10 seconds later: almost gets heart attack
The ambience in this game is outstanding and I really liked the random progression by forcing you to explore. Pacing too really draws you in. But with a lot of these horror games it's hard to keep it novel and scary all the way through and the whole "find fire and burn babies" thing until the end was a bit anticlimactic for the build up.
27:08 that is a good pal who immediately listens and go
I love the random roaming trigger points, makes it so much scarier. Also I am currently brewing apple tea and I'm about 3/4 of the way through the video. Here's hoping there are no spit takes. :p
Typing my emojis over here like a boomer...
This game is spooky because other, actually spooky games have trained you to expect things to happen after certain cues like audio. This game just has a bunch of cues, starts establishing ambience, then never actually does anything. So you have growing creepy feeling because other games have trained you, but this game forgot the actual spooky payoff.
Scary = things happening in the house around that you never really see, noises indicating that spooky stuff is somewhere, maybe, but not where you are. Oh, and throw in some creepy cliches like babies and static tv but make sure they never, ever connect to any kind of coherent story or that the player ever understands what they mean (that might give them something to actually be spooked by). - Iblis devs, apparently.
Iblis is a physiological horror game. Physiological horror games rely on ambience and spooky situations, they focus on the mental and emotional parts of a horror game rather than things like jumpscares.
@@Tanner-gr1sb I assume you mean psychological, not physiological. Physiological horror isn't a thing. This game relies on one aspect, setting ambience. That is the absolute easiest "psychological horror" to create with modern engines. Just create a vaguely unsettling house because it's dark, messy, and makes noises. Occasionally lights blink, and there are sounds that seem to indicate that something spooky just happened. Probably. Maybe. I mean, you might never know, cause it wasn't near you, and you probably won't ever notice it. That is lazy horror that never builds, and once the player realizes that nothing is really going to happen, the "horror" of it plateaus and then dies away. This game got lucky and just cut everything short with an easy ending before what horror there was had time to really pass. So good job with that part, I guess.
It is the equivalent of telling a story, "You go into a dark, unsettling, creepy house and walk around. Sometimes you hear vaguely unsettling noises." You, excited, lean forward, eagerly awaiting the next aspect of psychological manipulation that will build on the dread and horror only to be met with: "And then, you leave. Muahahahahahahaha, spoooooooooooky!"
@@jonl7591 yeah, ig I was misspelling phycological cuz I thought that’s what it was but auto correct kept changing it to physiological and I just thought I’ve been spelling phycological wrong my whole life. Anyways, isn’t spooky setting and ambience the whole purpose of a phycological horror game, I mean that’s what I’ve always associated with the term.
@@Tanner-gr1sb fair enough, it is subjective. Personally I prefer it to build using tools other than just the aesthetic, but it's a short game.
I have a weird question. Do you work in IT field? I'm curious as you check out things like real UI tester, investigate how things are scripted, check for vulnerabilities which can be exploits (like emf 5 read from graph in Phasmo). Also thank you for message to viewers being short (like if you like, if not not, let's start the game) and not showing famous RUclips stats graph and complaining for not subscribing for 10 minutes straight, that's nice approach. Not misunderstand me, seeing some ad from sponsor in future is completely fine, I root for you. I just don't like investing so much time in unneeded things in every video like other channels do.
I have a bachelor in Gametechnology (basically Computer Science with a fancy name). I've always been very interested in QA!
You should try to play “Pamali” and “Dread Out”, it’s a good horror games, even dread out is nominated for one of the best indie horror games.

Maybe someone else mentioned it already but this one painting with the guy having the mouth open (at 6:22) is an actuall haunted painting. The painter painted it with his own blood. Don't know its name right now, but there are some videos on YT.
Hey I love your videos and I recommend playing Bendy and The Ink Machine, it's an awesome horror game and I'd love to see you play it. Great vid as always, keep it up 👍
I could never play this alone,10/10 for the gameplay Insym!
My cat put his paw on my arm at 7:42 that was so scary what the fuck
(Did not know he was on my bed with me)
The atmosphere in this game was really amazing, especially the sound effects, but it's a shame the game mechanics couldn't deliver the same amazingness.
Feels like just yesterday you hit 100k subs, congrats on 200k!
The atmosphere of the game straight reminds me of Pamali. Insym should play that game too
A couple of those jumpscares definitely got me. The game looked really cool though, they do need to fix that invisible key XD I had to rewind and pause to make sure it wasn't there
My favorite, watching Insym and eating popcorn.
Im not gonna lie, being a Muslim and hearing him reading the prayers makes me feel safer and when the light bulb broke and he said a little like Allah Akbar it made me a lot safer idk why hahaha its a video game
Can I tell u something I'm a Christian right and if the devil were to attack u physically he would be punished horribly his fate would be carried out immediately because God loves u way too much to let the devil touch u
I'm from Ankara and I came to this video without any knowledge of the game so that " this incident took place in the Yakapınar in Ankara " was the weirdest feeling lol
AHA! Finally you play this game🔥
I'm not sure why the dead bride would give a damn about haunting a family she barely knew and who she probably cared very little about at the time of her death by auto accident. Unless it turns out she was actually murdered or something like that, why haunt these people? The indifference would have gone both ways.
Here with another suggestion :] "Sinister Turmoil: Sewers"
Home Sweet Home 1 and 2 really play on the Thai beliefs about ancestors, spirits and offerings. Plus HSH: Survive is going from strength to strength as a 1v4!
56:43 You know that is Anguished Man Painting? The Hunted Painting That Has Been Used Blood In It's Paint
god damn the lighting in this is good
Lets go another video Homework can wait
26:20 Is exactly what i would read the surah first in this condition, made me goosebumps
Did you play granny 3? I think the second game is better, but the third is also good
Love your stuff I love watching your vids when im not working
fact: iblis and demons are actually real, in islam we read quoran so god protects us from evil shit, things like this game can happen in real life which is pretty sad x)
anyway this game is really scary i gotta say it
It's real in your religion
@@jeffpulohanan9226 yup it's real
being a muslim and actually faced some of these things I can vouch for that.
the only problem is why is there a buddha statue in a muslim house lol, most of the times I've heard or seen muslim's keeping stuff like that it's either they're cursed or doing some witchcraft stuff
@@mrdoodle8229 non muslims dont experience these
I'm a Christian living in a Muslim country, and I do agree that there's stuff like this around here. I went to a Muslim secondary school and I saw a lot of stuff there I can't explain. There were two times when I was studying there where the school called in a "bomoh" (local term for witchdoctor) to carry out exorcisms and cleansing rituals because of weird shit happening in the school.
love to see ghost story in different culture than occidental one. i would love to have a translate to what the character said.
Edit : the atmosphere is terrific for 20 minutes we just hear and saw some lights poping out, just perfect !

55:00 Outstanding! It's so realistic - I've gone to check my door two times real quick.
In terms of atmosphere, especially for the people who grown up with Middle Eastern or Turkish culture, this game provides one of the best horror game experiences of all time, honestly. Yet, developers should have tried to focus on the gameplay too... In this way, it is more like a movie than a game
This reminds me a lot of some of those arabic ghost hunting videos where a guy with a camera just goes in houses and when the ghost comes he goes the exact same as to how the guy goes in the game here, love it.
İm from turkey live in istanbul. Thank you so much for loving our country. The house in the game passes in the west of Turkey, one of the old Turkish houses. I would like to add a note that the language we speak is Turkish :) not like this this is arabic. And iblis means demon.
some muslims say their prayers in arabic
Since the game depicts the Yakapinar Village as an extremely religious Islamic community in Ankara, I think I'm going to assume that most of the residents there probably have strong links with the followers of Salafi, whose goal is to keep the Islamic teachings remain original and pure, in which one of the ways to do so is by keeping the usage of Arabic language within their daily life and prayers.
@@Take-aim-and-reload... yes you are right and there are a lot of storys like this on the black sea side(like trabzon). 90% of horror movies in turkey are based on these storys ;)
@@KirmizTilki huh? You are aware that the five prayers you offer each day must be in Arabic, right? Wdym some, then? You must pray it in Arabic, brother; you act as though we have a choice. All the duas and suras has to be in the original language Arabic. And Iblis is the devil's real name; it's not some racial nickname for him, haha. He only knows how to read Arabic, which is a need because you must read the authentic Qur'an in Arabic in order to recite suras and duas. This is pretty worrying. I am aware that Turkey is the furthest thing from being a Muslim nation, but what is genuinely alarming is that Turkey today is the precise definition of being a Muslim only in name.
Honestly that little room with the wood burning stove looks cozy as shit.
And now I gotta try Apple tea
Was something I was going to say or ask that popped in my head early on in the video. No clue what it was. Forgot. So just gonna leave my unfinished thought here.
Remember now. Was on a holiday in Edinburgh. Every day at 9 in the morning, a guy stood outside our hotel window in a backalley and played Imperial march on a bagpipe.
I explaining from my pov and I am Muslim. At the basement there indicates there a unholy black ritual that was done there, hence, the strong disturbance by the spirit there. Light outs, item droppped or smashed to the ground due to that. Usually in our case when spirit haunt/disturbed they played in outside of our vision (we can only hear it cannot see it) and when we can see it mostly it is vague and cannot find the exit or the key even though it just sitting there. Dog barking , storm and repeated knocking, crying, sobbing and some extreme is we may see their figure although we may never clearly see the face
There's also witch hunt, quite short but funny, intense and scary. Btw, scp containment breach has more than one end and difficulties and there are really cool and funny mods, if you want you could try again
Yeah witch hunt is good
Those " screaming " are calling for praying we Muslims are used to it 😅
Yo, play Spooky House of Jumpscares, that would be cool.
I am very proud you are playing a game that made by turkish people. I am also turkish too.
Would I be able to find a turkish girlfriend if I visited? Would they be interested in an American?
Just a few informations Insym,
This game is the muslim version of exorcism and the "spirits" are called Jinn. However u didnt exorcise it, you just did what it asked of you.
The book you read in the beginning was Coran(Quran) which is the equivalent of the bible in christianity.
The room with writing on the wall, that reads as "in the name of god" so i think that was the safe room.
Finally the sound u heard early in the morning during ur trip to Istanbul is a call to a prayer :D
Fun video as always. I suggest u watch Siccin if u want a true horror movie
Do you want him to shit his pants or something DONT TELL HIM TO WATCH SICCIN BRO I COULDN’T EVEN WATCH THE WHOLE THING
@@cardoorguy5825 IKR- my dad showed that movie to me and my siblings- we jumped so hard that someone screamed-
The true point to this game is testing patience and you sir have more than myself. It seems as if it's aoe triggered and time gated. Nice concept but not my sort of thing.
There's a horror game called Try to Fall Asleep. The character your playing has brain damage which causes them to hallucinate and you have to monitor the stress level so they can go to sleep before time runs out. There's more gameplay but I don't want to spoil anything. It was one of the few horror games that made my anxiety skyrocket.
I still think it's silly when they decide to use lightbulbs to light the house, yet they are dimmer than a candlelight.

bruhh this gave me literal chills since it was all in turkish(I am a native speaker) except the Arabic parts, I couldnt watch the whole video and there are many more stories like this in Turkey:c
I have tried looking for said urban legend this game is based on but could find no result on the internet. I have tried typing "yakapinar village" "ankara" "bride" "car accident" in the search engine but found no English article about it.
Perhaps if you know a bit about said horror story, could you share some of the details of it to us? I'm very curious about it since the photos in the game's intro really creeped me the freak out.

It's still one of my favorite Horror Games to this day.
It migth be a little old and has been covered by a few other youtubers before, when it was still new, but it's still a super good game.
Lost in Vivo is close in second but Cry of Fear is still the better in my opinion.
for those who are confused about what the mc said when he's staring at tv, its ayatul kursi, a prayer people use to repel ghost and it's also on the holy quran. so basically for me when he recite that i clenched my ass really hard and hide in the comment.
